♥ Prologue ♥
Today I want to tell you my story, the story of my life and how I became what I am today. That's right, you surely want to know who I am too. Well I'm Bella, well actually Isabella Swan, but all my friends call me Bella, well I don't have that many friends and since I've been lying here I haven't had any anymore, because none of them came to me in the one year I was here ever visit this hospital.
I lost my parents in a car accident 2 years ago and I don't have many relatives and those I have don't want anything to do with me. Well, I'm not dependent on it, that's how I get through life. Well, continue with my story: I'm 19 years old, I'm quite thin and have light skin, almost pale, and my hair is the color of the bark of a tree, it's so brown, and I've been here in a hospital for a year from Andover. I've lived here for as long as I can remember, to tell you something about the city I live in - Andover is a town in the southern English county of Hampshire. It is located on the River Anton, around 30 km west of Basingstoke, 30 km northwest of Winchester and 40 km north of Southampton. Andover has approximately 52,000 residents and is the administrative seat of the Test Valley District. Andover is in partnership with the German city of Goch and the French city of Redon. I've been in one of the hospitals for a year now, although I think this is the biggest one, but I really don't know.
A year ago I was still going to school like any normal 18-year-old until the day I broke down for the first time. I hadn't really given it much thought until it happened a lot and I decided to have a doctor examine me completely. And he told me that a huge tumor was growing inside me. He didn't know how far he was developed and whether it was benign or malignant, so I had an operation. After I woke up again I was told that the tumor was malignant, but that there was still no reason to throw in the gun, because I could still be alive. So it started with chemotherapy and so on, I started to lose my hair, at that time I had long hair, but now it has grown a bit again, since recently I got chemo that didn't attack my hair and I didn't have to worry anymore, that I would lose her again No matter what happened, how tough the chemos were, I made up my mind never to give up. Sometimes I felt better, sometimes I felt worse and there were also days when I was allowed out. I still had friends at school, but since I was lying here there was no one left, not one of them had been with me in that year, except for the doctors and nurses.
But my real story only begins on the day a new doctor took care of me. And it was through him that I met Edward Cullen.
