I sink to the ground, the others just catch me before my head hits the stone floor.
The pain digs deeper and deeper into my skin, I can hardly think. They talk to me, ask me what's going on. I can't open my mouth or I would start screaming. Then they saw my arm. They sat me on the countertop next to the stove and I tried desperately to hide my arm through the veil of pain, but as a little girl you have no chance against four boys. You saw it. The word that has become more and more apparent on my arm over the past few days.
