Chapter 2: First Meeting

So that was Inuyasha. Well, thought Kagome, it wasn't that bad at first sight.
"Kagome, are you coming?"

Sango walked comfortably to a girl with red hair. It had to be Ayame, because Kagome had seen a photo of her on Sango's bedside table.
The 17-year-old girl approached the lonely half-demon who was sitting alone on the wall. Kagome crept up to him and tapped him on the side.
But Inuyasha didn't respond.
"Um, hello."
Inuyasha turned her head tentatively. Kagome held out his hand.
"Hey, I'm Kagome Higurashi!"
Inuyasha just looked at Kagome, confused. Was he still quite right? The people here never spoke to him anyway ... and now a girl of all people? That was just kidding again.
"Get out of here! You just want to tease me anyway!"

That was Inuyasha's last reply before he got up and disappeared into the crowd.

The celebration lasted for several hours, during which Kagome had never seen Inuyasha. She suspected that he went back to his house.
She has since been introduced to many people. Among others it was Miroku, Koga, Ayame, Sesshomaru and Rin. Miroku was very nice so far, except for his grave fits that he had occasionally. Koga immediately found Kagome likable.
He was very attentive and friendly to her, but she quickly realized that he only had eyes for Ayame. Which brings us to the next one. Ayame had been very nice to Kagome, but a bit strange.
I don't think I'll be able to make friends with her like I do with Sango, thought Kagome. Sesshomaru and Rin were the school's model couple. Pretty attractive, both of them. You could tell that Sesshomaru was Inuyasha's brother, just by the color of his hair and his golden eyes. But that was all.
After the party everyone went to the school bar and drank a cocktail. Kagome kept looking around for Inuyasha, who was nowhere to be seen. Sesshomaru also noticed this ...

Kagome was woken at six thirty by the deafening ringing of her alarm clock to finally wash and get dressed. She put on denim capri pants with a white, falling spaghetti top.
After she finished, she packed her bag and made her way to the kitchen, where she found Sango and Ayame.

She had to get used to that now. Ayame was into organic. Organic vegetables, organic meat, organic trees, organic friends: everything is organic! But on the whole she was very nice.

The three of them had a quick meal and then headed for the classroom.
Sango had learned from Sesshomaru that Kagome was in her class. She was all the more happy because it allowed them to spend more time with her friend. At least the first four hours. Because the rest of the day, up to and including 5 p.m., it was the turn of the selected area of ​​the students.
The two girls went to the class, which was on the upper floor of the school.

The girl looked at the little box on the wall where the room number was.

Kagome looked around the class. Apart from a cupboard, a washbasin, and a picture wall, there was nothing else furnished in the room, apart from the typical items such as tables, chairs and the blackboard. Then her gaze slid to the window. There he stood, in all his glory: Inuyasha Taishou.
Kagome was about to go to him when her new class teacher, Ms. Miyagi, came into the class and asked for silence. Since Kagome was the only newcomer in the class, she had to introduce herself for better or worse.
"Kagome, will you come forward, please?"
"Naturally."
How she hated that! She just couldn't speak in front of an audience! And that about yourself ...
"Um, so first of all: Hello! My name is Kagome Higurashi ... I ... I am seventeen years old and come from Tokyo. My hobbies are singing and dancing."
"Thanks Kagome. Do you have any questions?"

As Kagome walked purposefully towards the Hanyou, she heard a few look up, startled. She knew exactly what they were thinking: How could a person, especially a beautiful girl, sit next to a hated freak of a Hanyou? Next to Inuyasha, of all people! Such a beautiful girl, of all people!
She sat down quietly and put her school supplies on her desk.
"How can she sit down with Inuyasha?" Kagome heard her new classmates whisper.
She couldn't understand it at all. Inuyasha was human too! Well ... figuratively at least ... He was also someone to be respected, at least Kagome thought.
She noticed how the eyes of her classmates rested on her. And Inuyasha had been staring at her for a while too. Kagome turned her head towards Inuyasha and smiled at him. But this one just looked away.
The first lesson was over very quickly, because the introduction of Kagome and some presentations from her comrades made the time fly by. The second hour, Kagome thought, should pass quickly. It was math. Not exactly Kagome's favorite subject. But her math teacher was on fire for her subject. To Kagome's chagrin.
"Please open the book to page 175 and do numbers 3 a-c and 5 a-d."
Kagome sighed and opened her book.
Oh no, logarithm. Power laws! I don't get anything anymore, Kagome whined in thought.
In spite of everything, she picked up her pen and carefully and slowly copied the first exercise, hoping it would pass the lesson more quickly. Puff cake. Kagome gave up. All she saw was the log symbol and a number of variables and N-TE roots.
Badly damaged by mathematics, she put her book to one side and put her head on the table, tired.

She took her exercise book and put it in front of Inuyasha's nose. Then she put her arms around his left arm and hugged him.Inuyasha winced.

Kagome didn't mind that everyone was staring at her now. She was just happy and so she fell around Inuyasha's neck.

She hugged him again before she happily started on the next task.
They also performed the next numbers together and Kagome had the feeling that Inuyasha would open up bit by bit.
