Back then, Kikyou and Inuyasha had a strong bond that a youkai named Naraku had exploited because he wanted to claim Miko Kikyou and Shikon no Tama as well.
Naraku used to be a simple bandid named Onigumo. When Onigumo suffered burn scars and injuries from a heavy fire, he could no longer move. Kikyou took care of him at that time and his desire for her grew bigger and bigger. So he took a pack with a low spider youkai and made his body available to thousands of youkais and so Naraku came into being and became more and more powerful over time. He begat several descendants like Kanna and Kagura, whose hearts he held tightly in his handBy asking for the young Miko, he led Inuyasha and Kikyou into a sneaky trap, so that they both sought their own lives. Kikyou would be badly wounded in this confrontation, but before she succumbed to her injuries, Inuyasha tied her to the sacred tree with an arrow. Before Kikyou died, she asked her younger sister Kaede to burn her body with the Shikon no Tama so that it would disappear from this world forever.
But what Kikyou could not have suspected was that I was carrying the Shikon no Tama in me as your rebirth and when I appeared in the Sengoku-Jidai everything started all over again.

When Lady Tausendfuss attacked me at that time, she had taken the Shikon no Tama out of my body and, through a stupid mistake on my part, broke the jewel into a thousand pieces.

50 years after Kikyou passed away when I came to Sengoku-Jidai. An old witch stole the bones and grave earth from Kikyou to create a new body for her. She also succeeded well but the new body of Kikyou could not move without a soul, so the old witch and part of Kikyou's soul kidnapped me I lived passed over to her new body.
When she saw the light of day again, her soul was filled with hatred, hating Inuyasha, because she thought Inuyasha had been after her then and not Naraku. But after a while we were able to get rid of this misunderstanding with great difficulty.

We also found other allies who fought against Naraku that were once Kouga a Wolfsyoukai and his followers
Haggaku and Ginta. Kouga's friends were killed by a trick by Naraku and he's been out for revenge. On our journey we had to overcome a few hazards such as the daily fight against strong and not so strong youkai. From time to time we also had to take on people whose souls were so evil that there would have been no rescue because they too were looking for the splinters. But we also had to take on ourselves and our feelings.
Sango and Miroku always have a hard fight with each other because they loved each other so much, but since Miroku is an incorrigible womanizer and every young pretty woman who ran across him asked if she would not like to have a child with him, it was all not like that simple and in addition there is also his wind hole in his hand which he knew as long as Naraku lived he would have this hole and one day be drawn into the black hole like his father himself.Sango has only one plan to save her brother and destroy Naraku.
There was me and Inuyasha too. My affection for the Hanyou with whom I always traveled grew and grew but he still loved Kikyou who made it all more difficult because of her will be the second choice in his life ......

But no matter what, we always managed to work together as a team and defeat our enemies.

After countless fights we were able to hold a large piece of Shikon no Tamas in our hands, but Kikyou tricked me and wanted to kill me. She took the splinters from me and left me to my fate. Kikyou gave my part of the sliver to Naraku so he had almost the entire jewel. The splinters of koga and kohaku and five more were still missing.
We tried with all our might to find Naraku and the rest of the splinters. But there was no trace of the splinters and Naraku was out of reach for us because he had formed a bank circle around him.
Inuyasha tried with all her might to break this bank circle but nothing.
After a while we came to a village that was tyranized by bat youkai Myouga the little ghost told us that if Inuyasha and his Tessaiga would destroy this ban circle and the guardian of the ban circle, Tessaige would also have the power to create a ban circle and also to close one destroy.
Inuyasha fought hard and, in the end, he did it.

Inuyasha was on the verge of finding Naraku, because Naraku believed that his circle of spell would be impenetrable, and he faced our group. With united forces we fought against him and Inuyasha penetrated his spell and wounded him fatally with his Kaze no Kizu. Naraku fled and there was no trace of him to be found. Inuyasha couldn't even reach him and neither Kikyou nor I could feel most of the Shikon no Tamas.
However, we found the other five fragments and took them into custody.

After a long search we finally found a track and followed it unsuspectingly who could have guessed what to expect there ......
Naraku had created a new, stronger body and came out of his hiding place. His spell was even stronger and no matter how often we hit him with our attacks, he didn't die, he always put himself back together. Only later did we find out that Naraku had banished his heart that was still screaming for Kikyou and had hidden it safely from us.With a trick he took the five splinters from me I still owned, now all he needs are Kohaku and Kogas splinters. With all our combined strength we tried to protect Kohaku and Koga from Naraku but in vain Koga lost his splinters in the fight against Naraku when he wanted to absorb him and Inuyasha was able to save him.
Kohaku had it not so easy because his splinter kept him alive. If Naraku got this splinter then he would die.
We fought but it was in vain and naraku read over us and took the shard of Kohaku, just when Sango thought she had lost him forever, a bright light appeared in the sky and turned into Kohaku. Not believing what was just happening, we saw kohaku moving and slowly opening his eyes. We don't know whose light it was but we were infinitely grateful that Kohaku was still alive. However, Naraku now had the complete Shikon no Tame and we knew the final battle would be near.
