Chapter: The mission briefing
Here is the next chapter ^^
"Hey! Now hurry up." Jack called from the front door, waiting for Alissa to finish. She was now, for a moment Jack looked at the clock on the wall, a full half an hour in the bathroom. Far too long in his opinion. "Yeah, just a moment!" Alissa shouted, rolling her eyes in annoyance. Well, at least she was used to it. Because in the future it was no different. Either she was late for school or he was late for work.
She quickly ran down the stairs and then stopped in front of Jack. "Finished!" she said and you could hear a little bit of pride in her voice, for whatever reason. "About time too." Jack muttered and locked the door behind Alissa. Alissa grinned to herself. Almost as always, when she thought it over carefully. And somehow that was exactly what she liked. It was something familiar and that was exactly what she needed again.
"Colonel O'Neill. You are late." Hammond noted as Jack and Alissa had entered the meeting room. "Alissa was in the bathroom for almost 2 hours." Jack grumbled and sat down on a chair. "It was three quarters of an hour and less than two hours!" she said, slightly snapped, and sat down on a chair as well. "So be it." Jack answered and Hammond sighed slightly. "Well. Since that would seem to have been resolved. Alissa, you should give us information about what SG-1 is expecting on the planet." Hammond said in a calm voice and threw a warning look at Jack, who was busy pouting.
"Colonel." Said Sam and thus got his attention. "What is?" he asked, pretending to be in his thoughts. "That's nonsense!" Daniel intervened and shook his head. A look at Alissa told him that she was apparently also pouting. Great. Now they had to deal with 2 stubborn heads and one was worse than the other. That could really be very interesting.
"Alissa, would you please explain to us now what exactly you should tell us?" Sam tried her luck, but received a simple "Mhm" in response. “You could be related,” she muttered, crossing her arms. Sooner or later one of them would have gotten better, at least she hoped. "Alissa?" asked Daniel too, but got no response either. "Jack?" he then asked and looked at the Colonel. However, the same result came out. Oh yeah. She had clearly inherited Jack's stubbornness.
"Colonel O'Neill!" Teal'c spoke up and you could tell from his voice that his patience was not the best in this regard. But it had worked. Alissa and Jack looked at him questioningly. "Okay. Could we then please stick to the upcoming mission?" asked Hammond and it sounded more like an order than a question. But he wasn't to blame for being easily annoyed.
"Okay. Alissa. Now, would you please tell us a few things about our mission?" Sam asked now, but she wouldn't get the answer from Alissa. "What should she know, big?" Jack asked and there was a unanimous sigh from everyone except Alissa and Jack. "Now is good, Colonel O'Neill. If you two don't get along, then you can stay here! Have we got on now ?!" from his voice one could see that repeating it was useless. So the two nodded dejectedly and Alissa began to tell.
"On the planet you will not find anything conspicuous first. However, there is a spaceship hidden there. It was camouflaged and the people from the ship will be watching you." She sighed briefly. Okay, she'd have to be careful not to gossip or something. "Okay, I know that might sound pretty ... crazy, but whoever owns the spaceship is a Goa`uld." She said and Jack had to interfere again. "There is nothing unusual about that!" he said and shrugged. "Let them speak!" said the general admonishingly and Jack obediently nodded, but not without rolling his eyes afterwards. "So what's up with the Goa'uld?" he asked, trying not to sound too disinterested. Alissa now rolled her eyes too. "Quite simple. The Goa'uld is not an ordinary one. Some of it is also somehow ... a ... well ... as I said, that may sound pretty blatant now, but it is also partly a replicator." She finished her story for the time being and had for now Jack piqued his interest. "A replicator with a Goa'uld symbiote ?!" he asked and answered his question right away and Alissa nodded to confirm that. "How is that possible?" Sam asked now and Alissa shrugged her shoulders. "Unfortunately, I don't know that myself either. But my mother was able to develop a bomb that can destroy the Replicator Goa'uld." She said and now Jack was slightly confused. "Are you saying you dragged a bomb into my house?" he asked and Alissa shook her head. "No, don't worry. The bomb is the rifle I had with me. It should be here in the Stargate Center. However, it can't go off. You have to activate it with a password, then a lever like that is switched!" she explained quickly and Jack nodded in relief.
"Good. On her mission she will still accompany SG-4 and SG-6." Announced the general and a unanimous nod was the answer. "The meeting with the two teams was yesterday evening. There will be more shortly before the mission. It will start in two hours." That ended the meeting.
