From the heart

The time had finally come, the day had come. She had been looking forward to this day for weeks. The blue-haired girl and her friends Sakura, Kiba, Naruto, Tenten, Lee, Ino and Choji wanted to go to the new fun park with her. The others didn't have time because they were on different missions.
Hinata looked at the clock and realized with horror that she was almost too late and hurried to the agreed meeting point, the bus stop. Almost everyone was already there when she finally arrived, only two were still missing and that was - how could it be otherwise - Kiba and Naruto. But they didn't have to wait long when they heard two arguing voices and a huge cloud of dust approached them.
Usually, clouds of dust like this were the hallmark of Sakura and Ino chasing poor Sasuke, but this time it was Kiba and Naruto who came racing towards them as if it were for their lives.
"I'll be there sooner!"
"Aren't you at all!"
"But you ass-snoopers!"
"Shut up you fox baby!"
Eventually they both got out of breath and held each other's side.
"I ... was ... more like ... there!" Gasped Naruto and stuck his tongue out at Kiba. This knocked him lightly in the side and shook his head. "Nah, were ... you ... not at all!"
"Let's go, boys and girls!" Ino shouted full of vigor, ignoring the two newcomers and getting on the bus that just stopped at the bus stop.

Three quarters of an hour later they were standing in the middle of the park and discussing loudly what they wanted to do first. "Well, first of all we check out the shopping malls, then we look for a hair salon and the souvenir shops ..." Ino and Sakura agreed immediately and hurried off.

There was a pretty calm and yet somehow romantic atmosphere and Kiba couldn't help but stretch and carefully put his arm around Hinata. She first turned purple, which Kiba luckily couldn't see in the dark, and then, to her own surprise, laid her head on Kiba's shoulder. They sat like that for a long time, neither of them saying a word, until Kiba's uncertain voice broke the silence between them.
"You, Hinata ...?"
"Hm?"
"So ... are you ... actually still in ... with Naruto ... in love?"
Both blushed slightly, but then Hinata answered.
"No!"
"No?" The brown-haired man slipped out in surprise. He had been in love with Hinata for a long time, but she had eaten a fool in Naruto and so it happened that Kiba never confessed his feelings to her. Was that his chance now?

Everyone laughed and was happy with both of them, all but one. Naruto kept a little distance from the group and seemed pretty sad. Hinata saw him, but she didn't really care.
She had loved him too long.
She had waited too long in vain and
For too long she had tried to make him understand how she felt about the blonde.
But he had pretended to be blind and deaf and did not care. Hinata didn't feel like waiting anymore, she was happy now. Happy with Kiba, the man she loved! She would never love the Inuzuka as much as she had with Naruto, but she loved him dearly and that was the only thing that mattered!
