Die Begegnung
The encounter
Typical me again. The summer vacation had barely started when I caught a cold with a fever and all the trimmings. Normally I would just mop up, but not this time. On the contrary, I was even glad that I had to stay in my room yesterday. If I hadn't been there, I probably would never have met him.
Yesterday at noon I stood here at the window of my room and looked at the waterways that flowed between the houses, streets and paths all over the city. The water glittered as if billions of tiny diamonds were set into the clear surface. There he came. Slowly he rowed his little boat past my house. When he saw me, he stopped and smiled.
"Hello! I am Tyson. I just moved here, ”he greeted me.
"Hello! My name is Resa. ”I introduced myself.
The boy had short, bronze-colored, disheveled hair and brown eyes.
He asked me why I was in my room when the weather was nice and if I wanted to drive around town with him. I looked sadly at my feet and mumbled, “I would like to ... but I can't. I'm sick."
Tyson looked at me disappointed. Suddenly his face brightened and he asked me if he could visit me again the next day. I happily said yes and he promised to come in any case.
The rest of the day we chatted and talked about everything.
When it was getting dark, we said goodbye to each other and Tyson promised again to come back. Then he drove home.
Now I was standing at my window, looking at the waterways that glittered in the light of the sun, and waited for Tyson to appear at my window like the day before.
