Naruto suddenly looked very sad. His water-blue eyes shimmered slightly. When a tear made its way through his face, he wiped it away brusquely. Kakashi eyed his student carefully. It didn't often happen that the boy cried, he didn't want to show nakedness, especially not in front of him, Sakura and certainly not sasuke. That is why the Jo-Nin saw his protégé crying for the first time.
The hatake now looked at me, I was crying too. AFTER a few minutes, the Chaos Ninja took a step towards me. I backed away, slightly startled, out of pure reflex. However, when my green emeralds looked into the shining aquamarines, I felt such a warm feeling that I forgot all my suspicions. Little Fox looked at the reddish cheeks of both of us.
Naruto broke the silence: "Come on Kari, let's go eat something. Excitement makes you hungry, doesn't it?" With these words, the well-known smile fell on his face. Less than two seconds later, he grabbed my wrist and was pulling me out of the office. It had felt like a prison by now.
The gondaime and the silver-haired one watched us both go. Those whom fate had already played badly more than once, those who shared almost the same past. Onee-san ran alongside us with her short legs. At our pace, it didn't take long to get to a takeaway. 'Ichirakus Ramen' was written on the hut. Naruto seemed to be something of a regular guest, because the two workers greeted him by name and asked if he wanted 'the usual'. My companion nodded and ordered a portion for me. Ashamed, I had to admit that I had never eaten ramen before and therefore didn't know how to eat the long noodles.
The blonde smiled sweetly at me and showed it to me. With a little practice I made it and it wasn't that difficult anymore. Even if every now and then my noodles fell inelegantly back into their bowl. After dinner, Naruto had eaten 4 servings while I was satisfied with one, he broached the subject that I feared all along.
"Why did you actually come to Konoha, Kari? To find me? To hand me over to the Akatsukis?" his expression turned bitter, his eyes dull, they had lost all shine. I felt a stab in my heart at the sight. I didn't mean to see him like that, so I hurried to say:
"No, I didn't know anything about a Jinchuuriki, least of all that you are that one."
"No, really not? Then why did you come here?"
"Well, actually I wanted to do a real ninja training because ... well because ... it's just something completely different than learning from YOU. I wanted to be like everyone else."
"I think you are good the way you are.But why did you help them to hunt down the others who are as special as us? "
"Well, I thought you were alone, lonely anyway. I didn't know that we could live normally too."
"Ah, I understand. Don't worry, I'll accept you. By the way, I wanted to have already told you. I like your name, it suits you. Hikari, that light." With these words my cheeks turned pink.
