Erik turned around. The two were now facing each other. Varis looked at the floor Erik tried to look into her eyes to understand what was going on in her. He pulled her close. She didn't just let it happen. She had missed these touches, this smell that emanated from Erik, more than she wanted to admit.

She wrapped her arms around him as if she would never let him go again. And that's exactly what she wanted. "I've been looking for you all these years. You've changed so much." Now she looked at him in his eyes. "You turned out so beautiful." he hugged her even closer. She looked at him and saw something glistening on his face. Was he crying? No Erik doesn't cry he couldn't do that, but what was it then? His voice sounded different. "When you were suddenly gone ... you took my heart with you too." He laid his face on Vari's shoulder. She couldn't believe her ears.

After what seemed like an eternity, Erik broke away a little from Varis. But she never wanted to let him go again, she regretted it every day she lived. Always knowing that something is missing. And now she knew what was wrong with her. The man who was always by her side, who had shown her that everything had a purpose. "No, don't go ... I ..." but she got no further.

Erik closed her words in a deep kiss. Events rolled over in Vari's head. What was he doing there? Why? What should I do? But she knew that, or rather her heart. She returned the kiss. When the two broke up, Erik just looked her in the eye.

"Come with me into a new world, ours." he just said. Varis didn't know what to think of it. Away from everything she knew Where she was safe. But on the other hand she would be with the one she loved.

Love? Was he what she felt all these years. Love what is that exactly, she didn't know. Or were these feelings only there because she had known Erik for so long and was happy to long for him again? "I love you!" these words from Erik tore her from her thoughts. She looked him in the eye. "It was a mistake, I should never have left you back then. Can you forgive me?" his voice was tortured and hoarse.

She smiled at him. "I would forgive you anything." she just said. Without thinking too much. Erik kissed her again. Varis just let it happen. To do nothing inactive, but she didn't want to either. "I love you too." she breathed softly out of the kiss. Erik couldn't help grinning.

When he broke away from her, he just said. "Then come with me on my ship, let us see the world together. Just you and me."

Was that true, had she just heard right, he wants to see the world with her. She just nodded and he took her to his ship.

Together they would see the wonders of this world, together defy every storm. Be together. That was all she wanted.

All these years she was looking for what she always had.But only now did she know.

These thoughts, these beautiful thoughts would come true. Have come true. Along with the man she always loved, whom she would always love. They stood by the rim of his ship. He had her in his arms and together they watched the setting sun.
