Renga sat in the "Flying Turtle" tavern and ate a schnitzel, it was the third day in a row that he sat and ate here, but what should he do. Quib was a tiny village, so this battered restaurant was the only way to meet people. So he went here day after day, hoping that someone would finally come. Down at the pier a small boat was drifting in the water, it was the host's old fishing trawler that he no longer needed. The cutter was called "Turtle" and has been somewhat restored in the last two weeks. He had done his best and at least the "Turtle" was now seaworthy. Now he was sitting there, at a small table, with a duffel bag with his belongings next to him. He was ready to leave at any time and only hoped that someone would come soon whom he thought fit.

Julie Edwards looked down at the hill she was standing on. If she continued to follow the road, she would finally reach the village of Quib. It was also in the East Blue and so her journey wasn't that far, but she needed some time to take away her parents' permission to travel the world, which was a problem especially with her father from the Navy. In the end she had made it, because she was here and was now walking down the hill closer and closer to the village. ° Maybe I will see my brother again sometime on this trip? Hopefully ° she grinned and walked on.

A young man was walking along the beach in shorts and a half-open shirt, a shiny gold pistol tucked into his belt. His name was Daniel and he was on his way to the coastal village of Quib. He wanted to join a pirate crew there after having traveled alone at sea for a few years. But now he didn't feel like being alone anymore and wanted to join a crew. The flyer call of this young guy named Renga had convinced him, so he went without hesitation on his way to meet him.

"Thanks!" Ginny called and jumped off the ship into the water. She waved to the ship again and then swam the rest of the way towards the coast. An old acquaintance had dropped her off on his ship here on the Quib coast. Now she waded through knee-high water towards the beach and shook her long red hair. She tossed it back over her shoulders, then tried to get an overview of the village. ° Pretty puny, ° she thought, ° is he really HERE? ° She went on following a path into the village.

Leonora looked around. Wrapped in a dark coat that reached to the floor, she was standing in a small fish market in Quib. She went up to a tall, bearded, old man who was missing one eye but still looked happy. "Hello," she began, "can you tell me where I can find a ... Renga?" The man nodded slowly "Yeah ... yeah ... the scoundrel has been in the flying turtle a lot lately, right back there," he pointed to a house "has he eaten something again?"" No ... I just ... want to see him. Thanks. "Leonora ran in the direction of the" flying turtle ", even if it wasn't that easy with her dummy legs.

Renga sighed, still no one had come and he was about to get up to go home when the door of the restaurant opened. A girl, a few years younger than himself and beautiful in his eyes, was standing in the doorway. She looked at the few guests in the restaurant as if she were looking for someone. "Who ..." she raised her voice a little timidly "... who is Renga?"

There she bumped into the young man from the beach, Daniel. "Hey!" she complained and then looked up. Suddenly she started screaming "Aahhh! It's you! What are you doing here? You ... do you know how angry I am with you? Ohh you bastard!" She hugged him fiercely and some tears rolled down her cheeks while her eyes closed continued to redden.

Daniel returned the hug and patted her head. He hadn’t seen his sister in ages, but fate probably wanted them to meet by both of them following Renga’s call. Daniel looked at the confused-looking boy with the blond hair. "You are Renga? But you don't look like a capable and strong captain ..." "Try me," he replied snippily, "ideally both of them. At the same time!" Renga grinned and only briefly moved his hand into his pocket. but then had both ready again. Daniel looked at him again. ° A test is not a bad idea, then I at least know whether it is worth sailing under his flag. ° He whispered in his sister's ear "You too! We'll show what we can do." She nodded silently, turned around and raced towards Renga. Renga just reached out a hand and grabbed her shoulder. Julie suddenly fell to her knees and sat limp.
Renga, made two leaps towards Daniel, who was reaching for his pistol. "Naughty Run" shouted Renga, jumped in a zigzag towards Daniel, faked a blow on the head, landed behind Daniel and rammed his elbow between his shoulders. Daniel rushed forward.

Renga looked at the two newcomers, grinned and then said "There was no time limit, of course you're all there if you really want that" "Yeah!" all four called out of one mouth. "Maybe I should then make you familiar with our ... ship ..." He cleared his throat and couldn't help but grin on the way. ° Well the first day went really well. °
