Nachtblauer Stein

The prologue

Kazumi was in the process of cleaning up the attic of her parents' house.
Her parents had died a few months ago, so she had inherited the house and other things as well. At 16 it was hard to lose your parents so early, but luckily she still had her grandmother, who had agreed to take care of Kazumi.
Kazumi rummaged through all the clutter that had accumulated in the attic over the years. She wanted to muck out what you no longer needed, she wanted to either throw away or give away according to the appearance.
She was just looking at the box of her mother's old jewelry when an old locket fell into her hands. She looked at it very carefully.
It was so old that instead of gold it looked bronze now. Ornaments decorated the upper side of the medallion, it just looked gorgeous.
In her curiosity she opened it and what she saw amazed her.
Instead of a picture or something like that, a little stone had been kept for him. Kazumi just couldn't help but take it in hand and take a closer look.
It was small, but it was as blue as the night sky and glittered beautifully when held in the sunlight.
She put it back inside the locket and closed it.
Then she turned it over and saw that something was engraved on the back. Something that was so faded that you could hardly read it.
Kazumi tried anyway, but it was just too dark in the attic.
She hung it around and climbed down the ladder, folded it up so that it disappeared into the opening in the attic, and then closed the flap to the attic so that it didn't get cold in the house.
Kazumi went to her room, sat down at her desk and turned on the desk lamp.
It emits bright light when it is switched on.
Yes, now Kazumi could see better what was on the back of the locket.
She read it out loud:

Take me to a place where there are other things
And at which you can also laugh sometimes.
Show your light, bright and pure,
And show me the things that are not gentle but fine.
It's my wish so take me there
And let me recognize there, the meaning of life.

When she finished speaking, light came from inside the lockets.
And once again Kazumi's curiosity won out and she opened it.
The stone, which had been so inconspicuous, now shone in light but soft colors. It covered your surroundings, and around Kazumi it got lighter and lighter. Until it was finally completely white around her.
Then all she saw was the bright, pure light of the stone.
