Chapter: A fateful encounter

At Akemi:

This morning Akemi was woken up by Aois' loud snoring and decided not to try to sleep any more, since there was no point in the noise anyway. So she quietly crept out of bed and looked around. At first she was a little surprised because it wasn't her apartment at all, but then she quickly remembered what had happened last night. The others were all still asleep, even though it was already 11:00 o'clock and since Akemi didn't like late sleepers (although she was one herself) she pulled the big curtains of Hiromi's huge bedroom and called out loud into the room: "Good guys Tomorrow!"
Thereupon came angry murmurs from the three who had pulled their covers over their heads. "Get up!" Akemi shouted again. "How did we deserve this?", Reika asked, as always. Hi-romi uttered and crawled out of her large four-poster bed while Aoi and Reika climbed out of their borrowed sleeping bags. They rubbed their eyes sleepily and Hiromi went, closely followed by Reika, into the kitchen.
A short time later, Hiromi and Reika came with two pills with croissants. When Aoi saw the croissants, she got really big eyes and shouted: "Oh Hiromi! Did I ever tell you how great I think that your parents are rich?", She asked. "Yes, several times and, strangely enough, always when there was something to eat!" Hiromi uttered annoyed.
So after they finished eating, each of them showered in the wellness shower of Hiromi's private bathroom! Then they all gathered in Hiromi's room and worked out a plan for what they needed for the competition. According to Reika and Aoi, they still needed all sorts of new things, which of course were only available in the shopping center and so they wanted to get into town as soon as possible. Hiromi said we should do extra training and go to the special sports hall that was built for magicians and is on the outskirts of the city as soon as possible. Akemi also preferred to go shopping and so Hiromi was simply outvoted.
Hiromi's personal chauffeur had dropped them off at everyone's home before they drove to the mall because Akemi and Reika had insisted on getting dressed again.
So Akemi ran after Hiromi's chauffeur, closely followed by Aoi into the large multi-storey house and sprinted straight to her apartment on the first floor. Once there, she hastily tried to push the key into the lock and turn it in the right direction. When she finally made it, she stormed past the kitchen and bathroom, down the hallway into the living room, then turned right and stood in her room. Instinctively she went to the closet and took out a short denim skirt, a longer, yellow top and a long, gray fabric cardigan coat (as Akemi liked to call it) out.She quickly slipped into her clothes and grabbed her small, olive-green shoulder bag, threw her savings wallet (she had two wallets, one with a lot of money: the savings wallet and one for everyday life where only ID cards and meal money were in it: the all- day portmonaie), her cell phone and the key in and stormed back towards the door. Once there, she went to the shoe cabinet and put on her Roman sandals. In the mirror above the shoe cabinet she noticed her tousled hair, combed it with the comb that was on the shoe cabinet (it was always somewhere else) and tied it back into a side braid. Now she quickly locked the door and ran back outside. When she got outside, she got into the black Minilimo and sat down next to Reika, exhausted. When she took a closer look at the Minilimo from the inside, she saw how good it was for Hiromi and that she could actually have it as well. The fact is that Akemi had inherited so much money from her parents that she would not have to go to work for the rest of her life and could still live in a huge villa. Akemi had decided that she would live like a normal girl in order not to attract more attention than she did because of the accident four years ago.
"Congratulations! You broke your record!", Reika called out of her thoughts. She sat next to Akemi, stopwatch in hand, grinning like a honey cake horse. "How good was I?" Akemi asked. "Three minutes and forty-eight seconds!" She replied. What they both meant was some kind of game that Reika had come up with to prove to Aoi how lame she is sometimes. Since then she has been measuring everyone's time and until now Akemi is leading, then Reika herself, then Hiromi and then Aoi as an unbeaten bag of tans. Just when Akemi was thinking about how long she would have to wait for Aoi in her life, she got into the Minilimo. "We can!" She announced cheerfully. "Finally! I thought you fell asleep again!" Complained Hiromi. "Seven minutes and fifty-three seconds!", Reika announced and gave Aoi a punishing look. But she just made herself comfortable and didn't pay any attention to the others. "Is that the top we bought for you last time in town because you forgot your money?" Hiromi asked curiously. At Akemi, she was always very different from Reika and Aoi, because she shows interest. "Yes, I thought to myself, because it is so warm today and we are finally going to town again, I'll put it on!", Akemi replied with a smile. "Oh.", Hiromi replied and looked out the window. ... And your interest is gone again! .., thought Akemi.
Once in town, Reika and Aoi dragged Akemi and Hiromi to the shop where they had seen Naomi's crop top. Fortunately it was still there and Reika and Aoi got their first bag straight away.Akemi also found a beautiful summer dress in this shop that tapered behind her back just like when she was transformed, but in contrast to her transformation it was purple and not light turquoise. Hiromi bought a long pink skirt and a necklace with a white ribbon and a shell in the middle.
It went on to the next store and the one after that and on and on. It was only at shop number five that Akemi had an unpleasant encounter….
She was going through a rack of T-shirts when she saw a group of boys walk by through the window. They were about her age, maybe a year older, and one of them had one blue and one brown eye. It was hard to see because the other boys were all standing around him and texting him. Akemi watched him for a while when he suddenly turned to her and looked directly into her eyes. Hours seemed to have passed when Akemi turned and avoided his gaze. Something in his eyes had fascinated Akemi and that was definitely not the fact that his eyes were different colors. When a few minutes had passed, Akemi dared to turn around again. He and his gang were nowhere to be seen and Akemi wanted to turn to the boner again when she let a familiar voice look up. "Well, look at who we have here! Aren't you Akemi, the little white mouse from the back row? Where's your Bodyguard, this Aoi? Or did they send you into town on your own?" Asked Naomi's voice condescending. She and her five friends were a nuisance, so Akemi decided to just ignore them. "Hey! I'm talking to you, you dwarf!", She shouted at Akemi. "I have better things to do than listen to you.", Akemi replied calmly and continued to look at the t-shirts. This made Naomi angry and she grabs Akemi's arm. She pulled her arm across the stand so that Akemi lost her grip and fell to the floor with the stand. She landed roughly on one of the hangers and held her stomach. Naomi and her five friends laughed half-slack and never even got the idea to help Akemi up.
"Wait, I'll help you!" Said an unfamiliar voice and the laughing of the stupid cows stopped. When Akemi looked up, the boy with the two different eye colors was standing there and held out his hand, none of his friends could be seen. Akemi hesitantly took his hand and let him help her up. "Thanks.", She said still very surprised. "Don't worry!" The boy replied and smiled. "Hey!", Naomi interfered again. "Please don't interfere!" She yelled at him. The boy just ignored her and asked Akemi: “May I take you out for an ice cream?” Still completely baffled, Akemi replied: “Yes, I would.” And wanted to follow him from the shop. Then Nao-mi interfered again and wanted to hold Akemi by the wrist again. The boy turned around in a flash and held Naomi's hand still in motion. The expression on Naomi's face changed from anger to horror. The boy's eyes, on the other hand, seemed to flash briefly and stared angrily at Naomi, before he let go of her again and turned to Akemi: "Let's go," he said and left the shop, ignoring the frightened Naomi. The boy led Akemi to a small ice cream stand, which was directly opposite the shop they came from. "How did you say your name again?" He asked Akemi as he looked at his ice cream. "My name is Akemi Tenshi and you?" Akemi replied. Ever since he had stopped Naomi's hand with this lightning-fast movement, he had made Akemi curious. There was something about him that set him apart from the other ordinary boys. "A nice name. I'm Ren Kahno!" He replied. "Thanks for helping me in the shop Ren.", Akemi thanked him so that the conversation didn't end in uncomfortable silence. "No cause, I hate people who make fun of others at the expense of others.", He replied and immediately added: "You're a magician, aren't you?" Akemi was hit like a blow. Horrified, she looked up at him from her ice cream. How did he know? Was he a magician too? she wondered. "How do you know?" She said her thoughts out loud. Ren just smiled and replied: "Don't worry, I am one too. I have the special gift of seeing people's auras. People's auras have boring gray colors, while the auras of magicians are bright and glow. "he explained. "What does my aura look like?", Akemi asked interested. Ren examined her carefully and then replied: "Your aura shines completely white over the others, only in front of your heart is a small red spot.", He replied. "A little red spot?" Akemi asked curiously. "That means that something has happened in your life that you haven't fully processed until today.", Ren explained honestly, but didn't look at Akemi. Akemi knew immediately what he meant and
