Well, up until a year ago it was still like that, but there are things in the world that each of you would assume are only made up in stories and films. I thought this too and led a completely normal life like any other boy for 16 years. I live with my mother in Tokyo, where my father is, nobody knows. One day he disappeared without a trace.
Me and my best friend Masaru are in the same class and we've known each other since childhood. We both went through thick and thin and for some reason I always bail him out when he causes trouble.
But all that changed in one fell swoop when I met this girl. I can still remember that day exactly. It was May 7th. I kept asking myself the question: what if everything else had happened?
