The next morning Jane was awakened by the bright summer sun shining through a porthole in the cabin where Jane had slept. Lucy had made her a hammock yesterday and given her new clothes to wear. Now Jane was wearing a cropped blue and white striped T-shirt and knee-length white jeans. First Lucy wanted to give her a white skirt instead of the pants, but then Mira complained that the wind would blow over the sea, the skirt would fly up all the time and she didn't want to allow the boys to see this. Jane had instinctively stayed out of the conversation, but had secretly agreed with Mira's opinion.
Tired she got up and washed her face in the little bucket that Mira had placed next to the bed. Her short, blonde hair fell over her face and tickled the tip of her nose. When she got up her gaze fell in the middle of the black wooden framed mirror that hung across from her on the wall of the cabin. She saw a beautiful blonde girl with blue eyes and a bandage around her arms. She had been wearing it since she fled the organization's hiding place. She carefully unwrapped it. And where yesterday there were deep and dangerous wounds, today you could only see her fair skin. Jane looked at her arms for a while. Was that also a skill she had thanks to the organization?
Such questions had tormented her all along, and yet she had never come up with a credible answer.
"Jane? Are you awake yet?", Toni's voice asked as he opened the door to the cabin and let in bright sunlight. "Yes, I'll be right there!" She shouted and quickly hid the bandages under the blanket on her hammock. Then she greeted Toni and went with him on deck.
To get her eyes used to the great brightness, she blinked a few times. "Do you see the ship over there?" Toni was already asking her. Jane looked in the direction Toni's finger was pointing. "Yeah. What about it?" She asked. Toni sighed and replied: "This is a ship of the Navy. The Navy is hunting all sorts of pirates and are therefore our enemies. That means it will be loud in less than 5 minutes," he explained. "4 minutes", Race corrected him and stood next to the two of them. "Are you awake already?" Toni asked sardonically. "Good morning!" Jane greeted him. They looked briefly over to the strange ship when Toni started again: "Race, you wake up Ice and John and Jane, please, you wake up Mira and Lucy, I'll finish the cannons.", He ordered shortly and strolled comfortably to the cannons down on the lower deck. "Come on then!" Mumbled Race and was already gone. Jane did the same with him and looked in the cabins (she didn't know her way around very well) for Lucy and Mira. She found the two of them in one of the back cabins, where they slept peacefully in their hammocks.There was a bang. Either it started now or Race had just woken up John and Ice. Jane preferred the second variant by far. But now she shouted into the room as loud as she could: "STAND UP! WE ARE ATTACKED!" Lucy fell out of the hammock in shock and Mira, on the other hand, sat up slowly and tired. "Come on ..", Mira muttered and made her way to the upper deck. "Come too!", Lucy shouted wide awake and followed Jane and Mira. Jane couldn't help but grin. When they arrived on the upper deck, the battle had really not started (Race had woken them up !!!! ^^). Lucy and Toni went to the cannons. Ice had already secured his place at the wheel and John was up in the lookout. Race drew his pistols and stood in the middle of the upper deck, Mira drew her swords and did the same. "Jan stay close behind me! Got it?" Mira whispered to Jane. She just nodded and carefully stood behind Mira. "Three .. two .. she's coming!" Cried Race, who had already seen the first bullet from the naval ship. Toni was already there and shot a bullet at the navy. With a loud bang, the two forces collided and exploded between the two ships. The navy took advantage of this situation and came dangerously well to the pirates' ship. Lucy and Toni continued to try to sink another ship that had hidden behind the main ship.
"They're coming!", Ice shouted and he and John jumped down to Race, Mira and Jane on the upper deck and stood back to back to them. Jane stood in the middle. She looked a little lost when the battle began, but when her formation broke up, she was attacked by the marines too. Two of the soldiers struck Jane with their swords. But she ducked away faster than the two of them would have liked and swung her leg. The force that she put into this step was easily enough and the two soldiers were thrown back into the sea and flew far before that. Now the others had also noticed Jane and even some of the pirates had watched this spectacle. But the fight wasn't over yet. Jane reflexively slid into her fighting position and waited for the next attacker. And they came too. Another soldier raised his sword and wanted to hit her on the head, but when he wanted to strike, the sword slipped from his hand and Jane casually blocked his arm with the other. The sword now hovered over him and obeyed all of Janes Thoughts: It kept floating towards him and finally pushed him over the railing back into the sea. But three others were already striking at Jane with their swords. Now she had no other choice. "Dimensional Blade!" She shouted, cutting the edges of the swords with her palms. She glared at the soldiers menacingly.They stared in horror at their swords and fled.
The battle lasted about half an hour, then they had already put their opponent to flight. Jane held back in the struggle of a while so as not to cause the soldiers more damage than necessary. But finally calm returned to the ship and the ships of the Navy turned. "Wow! Jane how did you do that?" Ice burst out who was still lively and energetic despite the fight. "What?" Asked Jane back. "Well, the one where you cut the swords! You have to show me that!", He quickly grabbed Mira's swords and held them out to Jane. But before she could do anything, a fist landed on Ice's head. It belongs to Mira. "If you touch my swords one more time, I'll commit mutiny! You understand?" She hissed menacingly and grabbed her swords. "Hey you brawlers! Something's coming!" Called Race. His gaze was fixed on something black, apparently on fire and flying over the water. Jane winced. She knew who that was. "She's coming ..." she whispered to herself. Her hands clenched into fists. "Who's coming Jane?" John asked her seriously. "She is also from the organization and is probably also one of these children.", Jane replied curtly and her gaze now also focused on the figure, who was getting closer and closer. "What does she want from you?" Asked Race. "She wants to bring me back safely ..." Jane whispered. The memories of this terrible place came back to her. Mira stood protectively in front of her. "Well, let's see what she can do!", She shouted and the others also got ready. But Jane knew that the girl was too strong for her or at least she would manage to hurt her badly and that she had to prevent at all costs. "this is my fight!" she called to the pirates and jumped over the railing. Instead of diving into the water, however, she stood on it and ran lightly away from the ship. If she really wanted to fight the girl and she had to if she wanted to win, she needed a lot of space. But she didn't get very far. Because the black girl was already floating in front of her. Her blue eyes threatened to pierce Jane. "I have the job to bring you back to the A75.", She explained coolly, her black hair floating in the air. Apparently she could use her flames to fly. "My name is Jane and I have no intention of going back." Jane replied in the same cold tone. "Then I'll make you do it!" Said the girl coolly and shot Jane with a ball of fire. Skilfully and quickly, she jumped into the air, avoiding the ball. The girl started to grin and caught Jane in the air. "You are here in my area and I have been able to do what you can for a long time!", she boasted and grabs Jane's arm with her burning hand.Jane suppressed a cry of pain as the fire spread across her arm. But she was grinning now. "You're wrong. This is my area!", She shouted and huge walls of water shot into the air, enveloping them and pulling them both down into the depths. Now Jane had grabbed the girl's arm. She clearly had the better cards underwater, as the girl's fire was instantly extinguished. This struggled strongly and did not make it easy for Jane to keep her under water. When the girl ran out of air, she finally kicked Jane with her foot. Even under water, her strength was still incredibly strong so that Jane was pushed into the depths and one of her ribs broke. But her familiar element, the water, slowed her fall and it was as if Jane heard it whisper: °° Fight for your freedom, my daughter! °°° Jane opened her eyes and shot up to the surface, but the girl was already waiting for her. Just as they were about to kick Jane again, an arm of water shot out of the sea and healed her foot. Now it was Jane who rammed her fist into her ribs. The girl flew through the air and eventually caught herself with her flames in the air just before hitting the water. "What's your name?", Jane asked the perplexed girl, she was as if she had seen a spark of sadness and pity in her eyes when the girl had told her that she wanted to bring her back. The girl thinks for a moment as if she doesn't remember. Then she replied tersely: "Suzuka Thano, but that is not important. Today I will give you your freedom, but at our next meeting I will take you with me again." With these words she disappeared again across the sea.
Jane watched her for a while before she returned to the ship. She greeted the worried pirates with a friendly smile before she collapsed. But she did not hit the ground hard as expected, but was caught by strong arms. "I'll take you to your cabin.", she heard Race's voice say and only felt how she was carried across the deck before the pain enveloped her in
