Chapter 3 - Amazon Lily

After a while they reached the Amazon Island. The Thousand Sunny moored in a bay near the jungle. No sooner did Luffy run away than he had been stung by a tarantula. His crew only saw him disappear into the forest.
Luffy ran through the woods for a while. He didn't know where to go and what exactly he wanted at the moment. So he leaned against a large tree and slowly slipped to the ground. Desperate inwardly, he closed his eyes, tears running down his cheeks.
He just sat there for a long time, until suddenly someone spoke to him. "Hello, who are you and what are you doing here?" A voice asked him. Carefully he looked up, and looked into the eyes of a blond girl with a snake over her shoulders. "My name is Monkey D. Luffy and I'm sitting here, as you can see!" Replied the pirate defiantly.
The girl ignored the defiance in his voice and asked further: "Are you ... are you a man?" Luffy looked at her with plate-sized eyes. "Sure I'm a man, what else am I supposed to be?" Luffy replied. At the idea that he should be something else, he had to grin to the point of laughing. "Ha ... did I say the wrong thing?" Asked the amazon named Marguerite confused. Laughing, the boy held his stomach and said: "No ... don't worry ... everything's fine! Nothing wrong ..." "Well, then ... you come to the village with me now. You are a man and men are not welcome on this island . So you will come with me now without objection! ", Says Marguerite. "What if I don't want to?"

"Well, if you never want to see your friends again, you are welcome to stay here!" Says the girl simply.Threatening always pulls!

Sighing inwardly, Luffy decided to go with her. After a while they arrived together in the Amazon village. Hardly there, Luffy looked around searching. "Where are my friends?" He asked. Without waiting for an answer, he ran off. Unfortunately, Marguerite reacted too late.Shit now he's gone! What am I doing now? Our Empress Boa will be back soon, if she spots him he's as good as dead!

While the young woman was still thinking about what she should do best, the ship of the Kuja pirate gang docked in the port of the small town. It was only when everyone started to cheer that she was startled from her thoughts and turned her gaze to the harbor. There the pirate empress Boa Hancock just entered the country.
She didn't care about the people around her, ignored them, instead her gaze falls on the young man who is scurrying through the village. Showing the other the cold shoulder she walked up to him and grabbed him.
Amazed, the straw hat pirate turned to her and grinned at her. "Say you know maybe where my friends are?" She looked at him slightly shocked and indignant. "Your .. friends, does that mean there are more men on our island?"" Um, Sanji and Zorro, do you mean the two? "The names don't mean anything to me! Are they both men too?"
Before he could even begin to answer, two women grabbed him and dragged him into the lock. Once inside, Boa took care of him.
She smiled at him as she spoke to him and told him that in order to free his friends he would have to fight. He replied that he would do anything for his friends and that he would be able to travel to Impel Down in return.
"Why, do you want to travel to a place that is so dangerous for pirates? Asked Boa all of a sudden. That is life-threatening, the purest suicide!" I want to save my brother, his name is Portgas D. Ace! answered Luffy like a shot from a cannon. Otherwise he will die! For me he is the most important person I have in the whole world. "
Astonished Boa stared at him, she would not have thought that a man could have such feelings and emotions. That there was a person who was more important to him than his own life, for whom he would do anything.
"I'll help you and smuggle you and your friends into Impel Down, but first you have to prove your strength to me by fighting our huge black panther in our arena."
"Okay! But I don't understand why you want to help me?" Luffy was slightly confused. "That is not so important either, you do not need to know that."[I]I can hardly say what I do not exactly know myself! she thought.

In the afternoon in the arena


Luffy entered the arena and faced a huge black panther. The snake princess opened the fight, and Luffy immediately attacked the panther named Bacura with his rubber powers. It fell over after just one blow.
Hancock, who had already expected it somehow, couldn't quite believe it in spite of everything.

The pirate empress declared the event over and asked everyone to leave the arena. In the evening there was a big banquet in honor of the man who first managed to defeat the panther.

Luffy's crew was also completely present. They had not been prisoners of the Kujas. All of this was a character test for Luffy to see how far he would go to get his friends back (free) and get help.
At least that's how they all portrayed it !!!


The next day
The Sunny was loaded with fresh provisions for the onward journey. Sanji helped and adored the Kuja women.

Hancock, who had offered her help, would now accompany her on the onward journey.
"Everything is ready to go, we can go!" Franky just said. The others said goodbye to the Kujas quickly and went on board their ship.
"Take care of yourself sister!" shouted Mariengold and Sandersonia afterwards.
But they didn’t notice any of this because they were already a long way from the island.
