In a pet shop there was a large sign reading:
"Puppies For Sale".
A little boy came by and saw the sign. As the shopkeeper was standing at the door, he asked: "What do the puppies cost?"
"Between 50, - and 80, - EUR." said the man.
The little boy reached into his pocket and pulled out some coins. "I have 7 euros and 65 cents." he said. "May I have a look at it, please?"
The shopkeeper smiled and whistled for his dog. Five little puppies stumbled after her. One of them was significantly slower than the others and limped noticeably.
"What has the little one over there?" asked the boy.
The shopkeeper explained that the puppy had birth defects and would never walk properly.
"I want to buy that." said the boy.
"Well, I wouldn't take that one, it will never be completely healthy." replied the man. "But if you really want it, I'll give it to you."
Then the little boy got angry. He looked the man straight in the eyes and said, "I don't want to have it as a present. This little dog is worth every penny, just like the others. I'll give you my 7.65 EUR and I will bring one Euro every week until he's paid off. "
The man just replied, "I really wouldn't buy it - he'll never be able to run and romp with you like the others."
Then the boy lifted his trouser leg and a metal rail was visible that supported his crippled leg. Looking lovingly at the dog, he said: "Oh, I don't run well myself and this little dog will need someone who understands him."
