Sunbeams made their way in my room and lit it up. The chirping of the birds penetrated my ears and I listened to them sing. After rolling back and forth for a long time, I finally got up. Only wearing shorts and a top, I sleepily strolled to my door, which I then slowly opened. I took the first step outside, onto the cold tiles. Immediately I turned around again, rummaged in my closet for socks and pulled them over my feet. Then I went back out and strolled down the stairs to the kitchen. On the counter I found a small note from my older sister Hide. She had gone on vacation with her boyfriend, which is why she was gone so early. On the one hand I thought it was great because she really annoyed me and there was no one left to tell me what to do, on the other hand I was now home alone with my stupid brother. My parents had not been alive for some time, which I could hardly cope with. In the past, my blade was the only thing left. I always locked myself in the bathroom and did it. With the blade always firmly in my hand, I scratched my arms and legs all over the place. For me it was the last way out of the grief, but after I got help, I stopped doing it and was able to deal better with the death of my parents. But that was a few years ago. I was now 16 years old.
I went to the closet, where I got out a bowl and poured in cereal. Then I went to the refrigerator, where I took out milk and poured it over the muesli.
I sat down at the table with the bowl and spooned it into my mouth. I only had 40 minutes before you started school, so I just stuffed the cereal into my mouth.
After the bowl was empty I put it in the dishwasher and ran up the stairs, skipping every second step. Back in my room, I opened my closet and picked out clothes for the day. Then I went to the bathroom and put the clothes on the toilet. I risked a quick look in the mirror, which was a huge mistake as I was terrified of myself. Thick dark circles adorned my eyes. My light blonde hair, which was almost white, was knotted and my purple eyes looked at me bleakly. I looked like I hadn't slept in days. I quickly took my brush and combed through my waist-length, straight hair. At first without success, but after a while they were back to normal. Now I started to cover up the dark circles.
I took my large make-up case and rummaged around in it. When I found what I was looking for, I smeared it on my face and there was hardly anything to be seen. I quickly washed my eyelashes and drew a black line with a kohl. I took my green jeans from the pile of clothes and slipped them over my legs. Then I took a black top, which I put on.
A look at the clock told me that I had about ten minutes left. Since my sister was gone for three weeks now, I had to wake up my older brother myself because he would never get up on his own.He had his room next to mine, so I didn't have to walk long. I opened his door with a jerk and a disgusting smell came towards me. There was a smell of a pigsty in the room. With my nose closed, I made my way to the window and pulled up the shutters. The sun shone in and brightened the room, but my brother didn't care. He turned and went back to sleep.
"Stand up, you lazy pig," I yelled at him and tore the blanket off him.
"Fuck off, Koko.", He yelled at me and wanted to grab his blanket, which I was still holding in my hand. How I just can't stand him, even though he was my brother. If we weren't so alike, I would have said it was swapped.
"School starts in 20 minutes so get ready." I said and then went back out of his room.
I went downstairs to the hall, put on my shoes, picked up my school bag and left the house.
The school wasn't far from our house, so I got there quickly. I entered the school yard and saw Tayuya from afar. She was my best friend and we got along great, after all, we had known each other since kindergarten.
I said hello and we hugged. We went to class together and sat down next to each other. I packed my school supplies neatly on the table.
"Have you already seen Sasuke's new hairstyle?", Tayuya asked me now. I shook my head, after all I hadn't seen him today. Sasuke was the crush in our class and I thought he was very cute too. He was an arrogant ass and felt great, but I still had easy feelings for him.
He just got into class and sat down. The good thing was that he was sitting directly across from me, which is why I could always look at him without getting caught by him. It gonged the second time and our teacher came into the class.
"Good morning.", He greeted us and put his bag on the table.
"Good morning Mr. Hatake.", We greeted him back in chorus. He rummaged in his pocket and took out a pile of papers. Our math work. Immediately I got a queasy feeling and knew immediately that I didn't get a good grade, after all, I wasn't exactly the best in math.
Mr. Hatake wrote the notes on the board. There were two 5s and I knew right away that I had one of them. Kakashi took the papers off the table and handed them out.
"Koko, that was the worst job again. You have to learn more.", He said to me and handed it over to me.
I flipped through it and most of what you saw was red writing. Tayuya, who was sitting next to me, got hers again and as expected she had a 3.
"We have to study together for the next job. Then you will also get a better grade," she said to me. I nodded in agreement to her.

Finally the big break started and I stormed outside with Tayuya. Unfortunately, I didn't see my stupid brother and walked straight into him. Of course that wasn't enough and I still flopped on my bum."Take care where you are going. You handicapped.", He hissed at me, as it always was.
"Shut up!" I poisoned back. I straightened up and rubbed my bum, which was aching slightly.
"You ran into me. Open your eyes.", He said now and snorted.
"How can I help it if something as ugly as you is walking around here?" I said to him, slightly pissed off. He stood as close as possible in front of me and looked deep into my eyes.
"Better be careful what you say, otherwise you won't live to see tomorrow again," he whispered in my ear with a voice that made you fearful and disappeared.
"It looks so good." Enthused my friend next to me. I just rolled my eyes and we went outside, where we sat on a bench. From a distance I saw Sakura approaching us. I couldn't take it off and hated her like the plague, but Tayuya got on well with her, which is why I often hung out with her and the others.
"Well, Koko. Were you so stupid again and couldn't do the work?" She immediately began to annoy me.
"Shut up, otherwise you'll have a black eye." I hissed at her and she took a step back.
"You're going to be like your brother," she said now.
“Don't compare me to him!” How I hated it when they all compared me to him.
"But it's hot." Ino suddenly interfered. I never really knew what they loved about him. He was in a gang called Akatsuki. They didn't have a good reputation at school, although all women liked them. They were even known to the police and already had one or two reports on their cheeks. Most of them were charges of arson, assault or theft.
"He sucks.", I said only on Inos testimony. Wasn't it normal for siblings to hate each other or at least not get along well?
"Hidan doesn't suck!", Sakura threw in now. It gong and the break was finally over. I was glad because now I didn't have to talk about my stupid brother any more.
