Yamato, Kyu, Lentlily, Hikura:

It all started with a wretched creature.
She lay dehydrating by the roadside, overcome by a thirst that mere water could not quench. What she lacked, what was lacking in this pitiful existence, was something completely different. Passion. A very special passion. No lust for the flesh. Nevertheless, although this something, like every other living being, yearned for the presence of a conspecific, it lacked something much deeper at that moment. Something essential. You could almost say something that makes the difference between life and death.
Flickering lights. Noise that numbs the ears. Fatigue. But also a success after countless bitter defeats. Everything is nothing more than an illusion. Yet how good this illusion was. How wonderful it was to distract from reality. With the last of its strength, the creature stretched its arm upwards, as if trying to grab this distant treasure. As if she could see him up in the bright sun. "Chopin", one could have heard, one would have listened attentively. These were the last words of Marik Ishtar, apart from his beloved games.
He had been in this strange world for half an hour. It had taken 27 minutes until the game withdrawal had robbed him of his strength. For the remaining three minutes he was lying on the street like a dead dog. The people in the village he was in ignored him. Not that something like this happened here every day. Nobody wanted to go near him. Would you?
When he put his hand up, however, he grabbed a girl's bottom. A girl who promptly beat him up for it.
Meanwhile, a youth woke up in exactly the same village a little way off the road. Disoriented, he wandered a bit down the street and saw the scene just described.
After Marik was kidnapped by a passing carriage due to his own stupidity, the other two paid him no more attention. He was kind of creepy anyway.
After a brief introduction, the girl, Kyu, and the only externally the same age boy, Yamato, realized that they were both obviously in a place they had never seen before. Since they were both in the same boat and the villagers didn't seem very friendly towards them, they banded together and decided to explore the area outside the village first.
Their way led them into a nearby forest, where they met Lentlily, a young girl who was looking for her mother. Since they couldn't just leave her in the lurch, they took her with them until they found her mother. It wasn't long before they came to a river. But there they were attacked by a wolf monster and had to flee.
In the hustle and bustle, they came out on one side of the forest. The wolf didn't want to follow them, but they couldn't go back; to do this they have to go through his territory.
As they moved on, they came to a campground where they were warmly welcomed for the night. But in the middle of the night it turned out that these people were bandits.Their leader Sharoon had them arrested and thrown to Hikura, a girl they had recently captured. They were all handcuffed and locked in a tent together. They were due to be interrogated the next morning because, for some reason, Sharoon seemed to know that they were out of this world ...
Inside the tent they were able to free themselves thanks to Lentlily, who was able to slip out of her bonds. But it was still pending to decide how they were to escape from the camp, and that after their weapons had been stripped from them ...

Echo, the bear, Jonouchi, Sabari:

Echo, new to this strange world, found himself, for inexplicable reasons, at the edge of the forest, which Kyu and Yamato would later pass through. It wasn't long before he met a bear with a party hat on his head and circus trousers around his hind legs. The two became friends very quickly, because the bear seemed to be extremely intelligent.
Suddenly they heard the singing of a woman's voice and followed it.
When they got to the river, however, the singing changed to croaking, and the woman's voice became that of a man. More precisely, to that of a male penguin. Jonouchi, a Prinny, bathed in the waters of the river.
The two of them could not do anything with this existence and were considering burying it when Sabari rose unnoticed from the river through which she was swimming and prevented her from doing it.
However, there was not much getting to know each other when Echo ran after an imaginary UFO like a herd of rhinos. Convinced that his new friend was completely freaked out, the bear ran after him and left Jonouchi and Sabari to their own devices.
The two, now on their own, quickly realized that they both didn't know their way around here, as luck would have it. However, if they followed the course of the river, they had the hope of encountering a local settlement.
On the way, Jonouchi was grabbed by an old fisherman who believed he could make quick money with the strange bird. With a lot of luck they were able to escape him but reached the village where Kyu & Co. had already found each other at nightfall.
The guards at the gates of the village did not want to let strangers in, but Sabari's attraction to men benefited them for the first time. The young thing was let in, together with her bird disguised as a backpack.
