The "Planet Earth" school is a world-wide known and highly respected school. Or much more a boarding school. It is a private school, with the completion of which the whole world is open to you.
In order to be accepted at this school, you not only have to raise the stately school fees, but also pass the entrance exam. One of the most important prerequisites for being accepted into the school is an above-average knowledge of English. Since the student body is made up of people from all over the world and you have to communicate somehow, the basic lessons are held in English.

I'm not an English genius, but I applied for the exam anyway. It was also difficult for my family to scrape together the fees for the exam, but in the end we made it.
I looked around the exam room, a little uncertain. Besides me, there were a good thirty other people in the room. All of them from Germany, it seemed.
"I see. The exams are divided by country of origin," I mumbled and looked at the door. At the same moment it was opened and a young man in his mid-twenties entered. He had light blonde hair and was wearing glasses. He stood in front of the blackboard and dropped his portfolio, extra loud, on the desk. As a result, the last chatterboxes noticed him and sat down on the assigned seats.
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen. My name is Kevin Schiller. I am the contact person for all German-speaking students at this school. I am also your examiner for today's exam. Everything will be answered in English and not in between. You have 160 minutes . Anyone who cheats will fail immediately. Questions are not allowed, "explained Mr. Schiller while he was handing out the worksheets. Some of the others in the room groaned in annoyance, and I was shocked at the first moment too.
The questions and assignments were quite difficult to understand and even more difficult to answer. But I wouldn't give up so easily. After all, I didn't cram until I fell over for nothing.
At the command of Mr. Schiller, the exam began. Although some tasks stole my nerves, I tried my best to fill them all out. Unlike some of the other test items. Some gave up after half an hour and left the room. A few were caught cheating and failed. In the end there were exactly seventeen of the thirty or so students left in the room. And I was there.
Shortly before the time ran out, I finished my last sentence and put the pen aside, relieved. As I looked around, I was relieved to find that I wasn't the last.
A few minutes later, Mr. Schiller finished the exam: "Please hand in the exam sheets now. The questions will be corrected and you will receive the results by post within two weeks at the latest."



