What happened until now:

We see Saizou for the first time in the forest, where he sleeps in the middle of a dirt road.
However, he immediately wakes up when he thinks he senses a presence.
He's already pulling his Mary-Blade when a girl jumps over a fallen tree.
She falls into his arms and explains to him that she is being followed.
But Saizou pushes them aside and says it's not his business.
But as if on cue, the two are surrounded by hostile assassins.
Saizou, however, ends this fight pretty quickly.
After this fight he sees the matter as closed and was about to go again when the girl persuades him to accompany her to Shinshuu Ueda, a city where the girl should look for help.


She also wanted to say thank you with a bowl of soba, whereupon Saizou's stomach growled in agreement.
Arrived at the rest stop, the girl devoured a total of seven bowls, while Saizou is just with the first.
There she first introduced herself as Isanami.
Isanami later thanked him warmly and explained to him that she felt safe with him and that he was a great person, which Saizou replied with: "Don't judge too quickly", Saizou just didn't want Isanami to die there.
After dinner, when Saizou said the Isanami's headband was about to fall off, she replied that she couldn't afford to lose what a dark aura would create around the hairpin, and a slightly shocked Saizou back let.
Later, when they have already walked a long way through the forest, Saizou says that Isanami should no longer follow him, from here she can go on alone, but suddenly both of them were attacked by hostile Koga ninjas, including Sarutobi Sasuke.

In the ensuing struggle, the hatred for one another clearly emerges.
The fight gets even fiercer when Saizou tells Sasuke that dogs should rather stay in their kennels.
However, the fight comes to an abrupt end when Isanami puts the two brawlers apart and explains that she is here to meet a certain Sanada Yukimura.
Once at the castle, Saizou comments on the simple and simple construction. When he looked over at the young girl, Isanami looked very sad and depressed. His thoughts were interrupted when Yukimura and his faithful assistant Unno Rokuro came into the room.
Yukimura immediately asked what was wrong, whereupon Isanami told him that her shrine had burned to the ground and everyone had died in the process.
Then Yukimura said he couldn't help her either.
In order not to look so angry, he offered her to stay here for the night.
After the two left, Isanami burst into tears. She said she was the only survivor, she now had no one but Saizou.

She collapses on his lap and lets her emotions run free, whereupon Saizou patted her head lightly.

Isanami's headband begins to glow.That same night, Saizou leaves the castle.
Isanami follows him as he is strong and there must be a reason they met. Saizou, however, does not want to take her with her, whereupon she tries to convince him with some charm.
A short time later, the two of them are attacked again by enemy assassins and tied up with chains.

But suddenly an owl appears and fends off the attack.
Shortly afterwards, Sasuke and Yukimura appear. Yukimura admits that he used them as bait to lure his enemies.


With skillful grips, Saizou freed himself and made short work of the assassins.
But Isanami did not take it all well.
She remembered the terrible night her shrine burned down because of the blood Saizou left when he murdered the enemy.
She became so sad that her hairpin, the kushimi-tama, activated, and a large, ever-growing, black ring was formed around Isanami.
Saizou watches with horror as everything that was in the vicinity of the circle crumbled to dust.
After this technique came to an end, Saizou saw that Isanami's skin had turned black and lightning bolts of blue were still twitching around her body.
Then he saved himself again from an assassin. Isanami believed that Saizou saved her and thanked him profusely.
But he knew immediately that Yukimura knew something about this technique, but Yukimura didn't want to say anything yet. After a little exchange of words, Saizou fulfilled his "duty as a man" and stayed with Isanami in Ueda.
When everyone has returned, Saizou listens to Yukimura and hears him talking about the 10 Braves.

But then he gets an attack from Rokuro, and he gets a headache and passes out on the floor.
The next morning he wakes up only to see Isanami sleeping by his side.
With a loud bang he throws isanami's bedding on the next best wall.


He asks her what she's doing here and why she has almost nothing on.
She replied cheerfully that it was warmer when they slept together
. Before they can continue discussing, Sasuke bursts into the room and brings the food for Saizou.
A couple of Koga Ninjas attack Saizou and his food falls.
Then Isanami and Sasuke go to have their own food and Saizou wonders why he stayed here.
