Under the light of the silver moon
Hey ~
soo, herewith - probably full of errors and gaps in logic - I present you the last chapter of this FF. I had a lot of fun writing this FF, even if this last chapter drove me a little crazy myself, I'm still quite happy with it now.
And of course I hope you enjoy this chapter too. ;)
Thank you for every reader who has followed this story up to this point and of course I am still looking forward to your opinions and reviews, even a little more with the conclusion of this FF.

Chapter 4 - Under the light of the silver moon
Dark, breathtaking shadows moved in front of the image of the silver moon, whose bright glow and the light of thousands of small stars were reflected on the lively surface of the river. In the middle, the faint glitter of gold, the silhouette of the soul of a young man, framed by the bright shimmer of individual strands of silver hair dancing in the air. Accompanied by the harmonious melody of the night, the silence in the darkness of the slumbering forest.
Only a low whisper, no longer like a gentle breath, whirred gently through the listening silence, surprised the young man, made the young man detach his face from the captivating play on the glittering surface of the water and turn his head to the side. To where he could smell her sweet smell ... where he could feel the warmth of her closeness.
"Sorry, what did you say?"
"Thank you ...", the lovely murmur of her soft voice reached his sensitive ears.
"For what?"
The Inuhanyo winced and leaned his head a little awkwardly to the opposite side when he noticed how the face of the girl resting against his shoulder, with an almost unnoticed shaking head movement, came closer to him. Her long, black hair waved in the air as if on gentle waves, robbing Inuyasha of his gaze on her face.
"Are you tired?" He asked uncertainly, but again only received a slight, almost non-existential shake of the head, which made him slightly disgruntled.
The movement of his right arm, which he hesitantly stretched out towards the flowing black hair, was prudent. Just then he noticed an unexpected movement and felt the feeling of warm skin on his own. He felt his heart skip a beat, only to keep beating in a rhythm that was far too fast and loud for him, when Kagome's soft cheek snuggled against his hand.
"Kagome ..." he mumbled her name in amazement. "Are you ... really sleeping?"
No reaction. With a sneaky thought he thought of ripping her out of her calm first, but as fleetingly as it had come, it withdrew again.
"You have chosen a ... really ... inappropriate moment for it ...", the young man sighed softly and he watched her for a while through the darkness, feeling how deep inside him, where he had been for so many years, for a long time For a long time every nice feeling, every warmth, had tried to suppress, spreading a contented touch of security. With the claw-like fingers of his hand he played gently with the fine strands of her long hair, carefully sliding it through the inner surface, while he slowly leaned a little towards the sleeping girl. Driven by his longing for warmth and light that moved him to closeness and trust.
"Kagome ..." he said again to make sure that she was really asleep, while he dared to touch her own with his face a little more.
His fingers touched her left cheek, slightly indecisive, caressing her soft skin and he felt his heart start beating a beat too fast again, was amazed at the gentle sensation under his fingers. He saw her cheeks, slightly pink from the cold, the strands of black hair that kept falling over the closed lids of her eyes, and her seductive red lips that let out a gentle breath.
And it was the moment of a beautiful enchantment, the singing of a longing suppressed desire, innocent and meek ... yes, maybe human too, that let the tips of his claws wander gently over her face.
How beautiful she was. Now that she was sleeping, she just seemed like a stunning angel to him.
Under his fingers he felt an excited tingling sensation that began to wander inexorably down his arm and to his wildly beating heart. Despite his racing breath, he felt somehow intoxicated as a wonderful, alien sensation of joy shot through every fiber of his body.
Forgetting everything around him, even that they were sitting together on the branch of a tree, he leaned closer to the girl. What was that ... so suddenly and completely inconsiderate. Because actually he knew this feeling, this wonderful spell of love, which his heart had secretly submitted to defenselessly for so long. And yet ... it scared him. It frightened him more than any horror creature, any demon he had to fight, could do it all at once. His heart just went crazy ...
His gaze fell on Kagome's sensual lips, the sight of which also robbed him more and more of his mind, abducted him into a world in which his heart plunged unrestrainedly into more and more villainous realms.
"Kagome. If you don't wake up soon then ..."
Inuyasha thought about it for a moment, thinking about what he might say to anger Kagome with.
"Tomorrow you have to fight the demon 'test' again ...", he said and thought that he even heard some sounds from the girl's mouth.
"And if you don't wake up in time, then ... then ..."
Carefully he leaned forward a little more, a little closer to her face. Maybe a little too close ...
Shakily, his fingers continued to brush the skin of her face, tentatively touching her soft lips. He was now quite glad that she was asleep. Should Kagome wake up now ...
At that very moment she began to blink the long lashes on her lids, and the Inuhanyo felt his heart skip as the warm brown of two eyes hesitantly revealed itself to him."E-eh ... eh, no ...", the young man stumbled, overwhelmed by his own words, when he saw how the girl's eyes suddenly widened and her gaze slowly wandered to the hand, whose finger she was still just below touched her lower lip.
Inuyasha thought to freeze when he heard Kagome gasp deeply, was still unable to withdraw his hand or move in any other way, until a scream that was deafening to him and lingering on his head , followed closely by an energetic "Make way!".
At the mercy of the magical words of this cruel subjugation, he felt an unnatural force draw upon his body, a spell that made him submissive; no matter if he wanted to or not. The Inuhanyo was torn down and a dull pain flashed through his face as it crashed nose first against the hard bark of the thick branch.
"Ouch ..." he yelped softly.
"Tut- tu ... I'm sorry, Inu ... Inuyasha ..." stuttered the angry voice of Kagome, who clung to the trunk of the tree.
"What? Why did you do it?" He said, growling against the cold bark in front of his nose.
"I ... I was just scared ...", she replied and the young man let out a disgruntled hum, twitching his ears in surprise, when a dangerous cracked sound in the wood below them shortly afterwards.
"Oh no!" He exclaimed, frightened, and stretched out his hand in panic to Kagome, whereupon the branch violently broke apart with a hideous burst.
The Inuhanyo fell unsteadily into the cold water. The wild splashing of the shocked amount of water and the loud roar that it triggered resounded unpleasantly in his ears and he tore the lids of his eyes apart, startled. Through the undulating, bright glow of the moon, which broke through the surface of the water, he discovered the cloudy silhouette of Kagome directly in front of him. And he wanted to say something immediately, but had completely forgotten where they were, whereupon a thin wall of water oozed out of his mouth.
And it was a fleeting, so completely careless moment that suddenly captured Inu Yasha, did not immediately let him understand what was happening when he caught the gentle and innocent touch of fine fingers, which was so sinful due to the wetness felt his right cheek. He was too surprised at the pleasant sensation on his skin that he didn't even have the opportunity to wonder what he should have done himself when he felt the unexpected sensation of soft lips on his own.
This moment, it could not be put into words ...
Kagome's lips against his, so intoxicating, so incredible ... nothing more than a gentle breath, and yet he did not dare to move, was too intoxicated by this wonderful feeling that seemed to burn into his soul ...
This moment was gentle, as if carried by a magical wing, their lips only tentatively placed on top of one another. That little breathy touch was so much, meant so much more to her, than simple words could ever print.Even if she wasn't sure whether she would possibly regret this fleeting and fairytale moment, she didn't dare to open her eyes ... was afraid of the young man's reaction.
She felt her heart pounding wildly against her chest with every beat, the lovely impulses that it chased through every fiber of her body with every beat. The Inuhanyo's claws reluctantly rested on her left shoulder. And then it happened that she would not have expected ... what she had dreamed of for so long, what she had never thought possible for so long. The lids of her eyes shot up in amazement, so surprising, so incomprehensible was the moment when the young man's lips began to dance gently over her closed mouth, and with a sweet gesture breathed a gentle kiss against her own lips.
That feeling, the touch of her lips ... that was all she'd ever imagined, ever hoped for.
Her right hand, which had been resting on his cheek, casually wandered from his face over the skin of his neck to the place where his heart was under the wet clothes bobbing around in the water. Kagome felt his fast heartbeat, which irritated her immensely. Inu Yasha's heart beat so fast, so without rest, and pounded so hard against the palm of her hand, as if it wanted to burst at any moment.
Reluctantly, she peeled away from the
