Chapter: Tomorrow
A gentle breeze blew her nose. The hair tickled her face and the smell of oranges surrounded her. Nami let out the air slowly and enjoyed the calm. If she thought about it for a moment, it was just the calm before the storm.
"Mummy?"
A smile played on Nami's lips when she heard her youngest daughter's voice.
"Do you want to rest for a while until your guests come?"
"I wanted to ask you if you know when they're coming? I want to see everyone again and show them my presents!" Lily asked excitedly.
Nami knocked on the seat next to her and her likeness sat down well.
"Here you have the best view of the street. So we just have to wait!", Nami explained, but couldn't prevent her daughter from standing on the bench.
"I don't see Uncle Luffy!" She sounded disappointed.
"You will hear him first and not see him!" Giggled the mother.
"Do you think Uncle Usopp made a friend for Mister Pig?"
Big brown eyes looked at Nami and her gaze fell on the black cuddly toy that was holding her daughter in her arms.Mister Pig, actually a bulldog, was misunderstood by Lily as a hippopotamus and was given the not entirely appropriate name.
"We'll have to be surprised."
A pout followed. Lily was very impatient, not like Melody and Kaname. The two came more after their father. Lily had inherited Nami's temperament.
"Aunt Robin wrote that everyone would come over, including Olivia, are you looking forward to it?"
"Oh yes! She can help me with origami! She can always do it so beautifully!"
"Yeah, I'm a little jealous of your swan!" Nami admitted.
Lily giggled happily before looking wide-eyed at her mother again.
"Mom, can I pick an orange?"
Nami smiled before she held an orange under the kid's nose. "I was amazed that you haven't asked yet."
"Papa also asks, although he looks after the plants. Do you think he made a cake?"
"More like a delicious birthday cake!", Nami smiled, knowing it too well.
"Your oranges are still the best!"
"There are still oranges from Grandma Bellemere," Nami explained while she thought of her foster mother.
So many years had passed. It was a shame that she had never seen her grandchildren.
"I'll go to the gate to be able to receive all the presents!", She suggested and disappeared while Nami chuckled.
"Here they come!"
"Don't be so loud, Lily! We're also happy that you are coming to visit us again," admonished Kaname, who had his hands behind his back.
"We should meet them!" Said Melody, who remembered that Aunt Kaya was expecting a baby.
"It's nice that you want to help us!" Smiled Kaya, who was really pleased to see the children again.
"But you won't get the presents yet!", Warned Chopper, who had immediately transformed into his tall figure, since he already knew Lily, and stretched his arm with the wrapped presents in the air.
"How mean!"
"You are just too impatient!" Laughed Usopp and stroked her head. "I see you still have your protector with you?"
"Of course! Mister Pig will take care of me!"
"Come with me into the garden, mom said that the weather would be very nice today!" Suggested Kaname.
"That would be great, I could use a little break", Kaya agreed and put a hand on her big stomach.
"Go ahead. I can see the next guests coming!", Lily said happily and ran towards them.
"Hello birthday boy!Do you look chic! Like your mother! "laughed Olivia.
She was the daughter of Robin and Franky who arrived with Brook in tow.
"A delightful young lady, really!" Sang Brook.
"No!" Lily yelled at him.
"How?"
"She already gave you the answer to your unasked question," chuckled Robin.
"That clearly showed Nami's temper," Franky agreed. "Our daughter gave you a great kick on your shin for that."
"Shin bones!" Olivia corrected, brushing back her dark blue hair, the blue eyes that she had inherited from her mother twinkling.
"Go out into the garden!" Lily giggled. "I'll get the two brawlers!"
In fact, Jinbei and Zorro could be seen in the distance.
While the swordsman crossed his arms provocatively, Jinbei pulled the offended man behind him.
"Did he want to go to the penguins again?", Nami's youngest asked as she greeted the new guests.
"More likely to the sea kings!", Laughed the fish man, while Zorro growled.
"I would have found the way!"
"Judging by the lecture by Perona, probably not!" Replied Jinbei. "I want to know how much longer she wants to ship you around the world!"
"She must love him very much!" Lily burst out.
It was always wonderful to annoy Uncle Zorro! She must have inherited that from her father.
"Maybe even more than Reiju," Jinbei teased.
"Pah!"
Zorro trudged past them and the house with great strides.
"I'm going to pick it up," Jinbei sighed. "Hopefully we won't be the last!"
"Uncle Luffy and Aunt Reiju have to come too!", Lily interjected. "Oh, I can already see you!"
Lily noticed that there was another beautiful woman walking next to Uncle Luffy. She had hooked up to Luffy and was struggling not to grimace. Her long black hair was blowing slightly in the wind and Lily remembered that mom and dad had said that Luffy would bring his girlfriend with them.
Her uncle was talking to the other woman, who had short, pink hair.
"Aunt Reiju!"
After the girl recognized her aunt, she immediately rushed towards her.
"Hello, my little one! You are particularly wild today!"
"What happened to your hair? Did you bathe in cherry juice?"
Laughing, Luffy held his stomach, the strange woman smiled too.
"No, I dyed my hair!", Giggled Reiju and winked at her niece. "So I don't get confused with your father!"
"Give me the birthday boy!", Luffy grinned and picked up his godchild. "You grew up really big!"
"I'm getting a lot bigger!" Lily promised. "When I've finished the cake, I'll be just as tall as you!"
"Ha! I'll eat the cake all by myself!"
"That wouldn't be very nice, Luffy," warned the black-haired woman and turned to the little girl: "My name is Hancock."
"I'm Lily! Today I turned six!", The girl introduced herself. "You are really pretty! I would like to have long hair like you too! Melody doesn't like her hair that long and always does plaits, but I want to have nice long hair!"
"With long hair you can pull it so nicely!", Reiju smiled.
"But not with my Hancock!" Luffy defended her immediately.
Lily could meanwhile watch Hancock blush.
"We should hurry, otherwise we'll be the last!"
"You're the last!" Lily giggled at her aunt.
"Then go! I want to get some more from the cake!", Luffy stormed off with his godchild and left a cloud of dust behind.
"Nice that you are here!", Nami greeted Robin with a hug.
"The time has passed super fast again!", Greeted Franky Sanji, who was just bringing the birthday cake outside.
"You can say that out loud!" Sanji agreed with a smile. "Kaname, please behave politely around a lady!"
Moaning, the aforementioned rolled his eyes theatrically while Olivia giggled beside him.
"What do you think we should get the two of them engaged?" Asked Franky.
"I beg your pardon?!"
"That was a joke!", Franky laughed and patted the nervous father apologetically on the back. "They get along well and are the same age!"
"My goodness, you have to be careful who is coupling whom!" Exclaimed Usopp.
"Your child is next!"
"Forget it, Franky!"
"Lovely Kaya, do you know what it's going to be?" Asked Sanji.
"My doctor said that he is now sure that it will be a girl," replied the blonde. "I'm going to ask Chopper for a second opinion, but Usopp is really excited!"
"Of course! She will definitely be as beautiful as her mother!"
"What a fool!" Zorro shook his head.
"It gets even better, Uncle Zorro! Uncle Luffy's girlfriend is supposed to come today!", Kaname reminded him.
"It's going to be fun!" The swordsman then grinned devilishly.
"My nerves!" Jinbei groaned.
The children giggled.
"Do you think the two are fighting again?" Melody asked.
"I bet it is! It's always fun!"
"If Aunt Reiju joins in too," thought Kaname out loud, "then it'll be really funny!"
"Lovely Hancock! You most beautiful of the fair!"
"Children, please don't copy!", Nami warned her offspring as she went to her husband and gave him a well-aimed headbutt.
"Impressive technology!", Olivia marveled. "My mom always does it differently and only when dad has invented something unnecessary."
"Thank you all for coming!" Lily officially welcomed the group.
Everyone already had a piece of the gigantic strawberry-cream cake on their plate. Even Luffy held back, but it was because of Hancock's hand that was on top of his. The woman had him really well under control.
"Since I'm impatient myself, I would say: skin clean!"
Laughing, the guests thanked them and enjoyed the cake.
"Delicious! Sanji, I want you to make a huge meat cake for my birthday! At the bottom please with schnitzel, then the meatballs, on top juicy steaks and ..."
"Captain?"
"Huh?" Luffy paused in his list.
"Forget it and please eat properly!"
Another laugh went around.
"You look good with your little braid, Zorro. Is that what you wear in your dojo?" Asked Reiju, who had sat down next to him provocatively.
"Above all, there are no annoying women there!"
"You don't need to be shy!" She continued teasing. "I find that so fascinating right now!"
"Women!" Groaned Zorro.
"But he won't last long today," said Kaname.
"A new tactic," suggested Olivia. "He hopes she'll stop sooner if he pretends to give in!"
"We all know that he loves daddy best!" Lily announced loudly.
"Wooden spoon! Don't spoil your brats like that!"
"How was that, spinach skull?
Within a few seconds everyone could marvel at a small show fight. Did the two brawlers know they liked it. They weren't really fighting, but it was still fun.
Out of the corner of her eye, Kaya saw Nami needing Hancock in the house and waving to Chopper that he should come along. She had already noticed that the
