Chapter 3: THE ANTIDOTE or WHAT HAPPENS TO OURS
FRIENDS MEET THE MEN IN BLACK

On the way to Professor Agasa

Ran: "Tell me Shinichi, why did you tell Heiji that he should slowly look for a girlfriend? He already has one."

Conan: "Oh yeah? Who is it?"

Ran: "Shinichi, are you so stupid or are you just pretending? Have you already forgotten?"

Conan: "Unfortunately I forgot. What's her name?"

Conan: "Oh, is that maybe that girl who thought you were me?"

Then Heiji interfered.

Heiji: (to Conan) "Don't you tell her that Sonoko said I was her boyfriend just because YOU said I didn't have a girlfriend yet."

Conan: (cheeky) "What happens to who I tell her?"

Ran: "... you have to deal with me."

Conan: (scared) "It's okay. I won't tell her a word."

Ran: "Good guy."

They were in style the rest of the way. Very soon they were with Professor Agasa. Ran rang the doorbell.

Agasa: "I'm coming!"

He opened the door.

Conan: "Heiji found out where the men in black are hiding and we have decided that we will go looking for the antidote tomorrow."

Ran: "We wanted to ask you if you could maybe give us some useful things."

Agasa: "Of course I'll help you. But I would be interested to know where these villains are hiding."Heiji: "Your vesteck is in the basement of a large building in Osaka. The company that has its premises there manufactures various machines."
Agasa: "I see."

Heiji: "But that's not all. The basement is at least as big as two houses as big as Shinichi's house."

Agasa: (amazed) "Wow. Um, you came here because you wanted some useful things, right?"

Conan / Heiji / Ran: "Yes."

He gave them many other useful things as well. When they got what they wanted, they said goodbye to Professor Agasa and went to Shinichi's home.They wanted to take some larger clothes for him there because when he got back to his old shape, his children's clothes would be too small for him. Then they went back to Ran.
They discussed a few things and then went to sleep. The next day there was a lot of work waiting for her.

Next day, 5 a.m.

Ran woke up and looked at the alarm clock.

Ran: "Oh, it's already five o'clock! I have to wake up the two boys."

She went into Conan's room and tried to wake them up.

Ran: "Hey, you two sleepyheads. WAKE UP!"

Conan and Heiji were immediately awake.

Conan: "Is it time to get up already?"

Ran: "Yes. We still have to go to Osaka today, remember?"

Conan: "No, I haven't forgotten that."

Ran: "So, DO YOU FINALLY STAND UP!"

Conan / Heiji: "Yes, boss!"

The two walked slowly into the kitchen and ate their frustration. Afterwards everyone went back to their rooms, dressed and took whatever things they needed.After half an hour they went to the station and got on the train going to Osaka.

After a couple of hours in Osaka
Heiji: "So, we are now in Osaka. Do we want to go immediately or should we sit down somewhere and trik something first?"

Ran: "I think we should go have a drink. Because I'm terribly thirsty."

Conan: "Me too."

Heiji: "O.K. Follow me!"

After five minutes they came to a bar. They sat down and had a drink.

Ran: "Say Heiji, is this building near here?"

Heiji: "Yes. In fact, it's very close."

He showed them a huge building on the other side of the street.

Conan: "Machiness & Co. Wow, that's huge."

Heiji: "I suggest we go there right now. Are you ready?"

Ran / Conan: "YES!"

They paid and then went out. Heiji showed Ran and Conan where the secret entrance is. They were about to go in when Conan remembered something important.

Conan: "Wait a moment!I have to call the police. "
Conan called the police and told them what he was up to and they should be there as soon as possible. Then everyone went to the basement. You didn't have to look far. They soon found the first group. Ran knocked the bandits down. Then they went on. After a few meters, Heiji had chamfered an alarm system and very soon they had the villains on their necks again. This time they had sent everyone to the land of dreams with an anesthetic gun. Conan, Ran and Heiji thought they had done it when someone pressed a cloth over Ran's mouth. She tries to scream but suddenly passed out. Conan and Heiji didn't notice anything. It was only when they heard the announcement that they realized that a person was missing.

Unknown voice: "A message for Conan Edogawa, or should I say, Shinichi Kudo and his friend. If you want to see the young lady alive again, come to room 123! If you haven't been there for two hours, your friend will be dead .And no police! See you! Hohohohahaha! "

Conan: "Damn, they got Ran! What should we do?"

Heiji: "I don't know."
Conan didn't know what to do next. He thought about a lot. Is Ran doing well? Is she even still alive? Is she healthy? Or have the men in black shrunk them too? Heiji looked at Conan the whole time. The same things went through his head too. He might be happy because Kazuha was fine.
After a while, Conan spoke up.

Conan: "Say Heiji, do you have any idea where room 123 could be?"

Heiji: "Hm, that could be a room in a hotel? Or how easy a meeting room? I don't know, there are so many possibilities."

Conan: "Let's think hard. If you made an announcement beforehand, then you should be in this building. You probably spoke from the announcement room. That was about half an hour. Then you have to be here."Heiji: "Yes, that sounds logical."

Conan: "I happen to know that this building has 12 floors and there are 30 rooms on each floor. You could actually write the number like this: 12. 3 or 1. 23. That would then mean: 12th floor, room 3 or 1 Floor room 23.

The two were so lost in thought that they did not notice that there was a person behind them.

Unknown person: "Hello you two!"

Conan and Heiji jump up.

Conan: "Who's here?"
