Fanfic: Doch nur ein Traum? [2]

whisper.

René and Julian, who hadn't dared to say anything beforehand, listened intently. Then they heard footsteps in the corridor and if they concentrated, they could also perceive auras.

Julian felt a shiver down his spine. Caro's and René's eyes turned hard and cold. They would recognize this aura anywhere. "Vegeta ..." Julian breathed. The other two just nodded.

It didn't take long before the door was slammed open and the prince was standing in the room with a few other soldiers and Nappa. They let their eyes wander around the room. Nobody was to be seen. "Take a look around a little more!" Ordered Nappa, who was standing next to Vegeta. The fighters obeyed.

René was breathing heavily when they yanked open the door to the bedroom, where he had quickly disappeared onto the closet and had extinguished his aura. The closet shook violently as one of the warriors opened and closed the closet door looking for him.

Caro peeked out from under a hole in the sofa cover that she had torn herself especially because of it and watched what was happening. It was against her pride, but the others had insisted that she go into hiding. But she too was almost breathless when one of the seekers came dangerously close to the sofa. And when Nappa made herself comfortable on the sofa, she found it difficult to suppress a scream because she was almost squashed. The sofa was very low, but when nobody was sitting on it the seat almost reached the floor. She gasped softly.

At that moment she heard a sleepy yawn. Julian left the bedroom, flanked by two fighters. "What are you doing here in the middle of the night?" He asked tiredly. Nappa looked at Vegeta and got up. Caro took a deep breath. "We saw the lights burning here and came here," replied Nappa coolly. "Yes. Maybe I just turned on the light.I sleepwalk sometimes. “The five warriors whispered.” That too! A sleepwalker! "one of them whispered softly.

Nappa rolled her eyes and asked Julian many more questions. Sometimes Nappa asked the questions so skillfully that Karo thought it was over. But Julian finally managed to get the fighters out of the room again through true persuasion.

When he closed the door behind the nocturnal visitors, he collapsed on the sofa, exhausted. What immediately came the reaction. "Ouch! You idiot, get off the sofa!" Shouted Caro. Julian jumped up, startled. "Oh, oh, I had completely forgotten that!" He stuttered, startled, while she squeezed out from behind the sofa. With a bang, the attention went straight to René. Julian quickly ran into the bedroom. René was lying in front of the cupboard. "I knew I could manage it. It just had to come ..." he grinned.

His friend was about to say something when the door slammed open again. René jerked to his feet again and, like Julian, looked expectantly into the `living room`. Vegeta was standing in the room and Caro had positioned herself in front of him and looked up at him with her challenging, brave look.

René and his friend couldn't take a step. Something seemed to be holding her back. It was like someone forbidding them to intervene.

Meanwhile Vegeta spoke in the middle of the room: "I knew that you were responsible for this! It couldn't have been anyone else ..." He shrugged his shoulders and looked down at Caro, with a proud expression on her face and without an eyelash to twitch, stood in front of him. It was like waiting for an answer. "And if it had actually been me? What would you do then?" She asked without looking away, clenching her fists. There was no answer for a long time. The two enemies seemed to be fighting an internal battle.Caro first averted his eyes and looked at the floor. Her otherwise bright eyes looked dull, as if a veil lay in front of them, and her fists had also loosened. "Yes, Prince Vegeta, I'm going ..." she mumbled and stole out of the room. Smiling maliciously, the prince watched her go.

Then he let his gaze wander around the room and noticed René, who was standing in the doorway and didn't quite understand what was happening. He smiled and said, "Better sleep now! Your training starts tomorrow." He turned to leave. "If you ever survive the first day of training alive ..." With these words he went out. René clenched his fist. Why did Caro give up? What did Vegeta mean by `if you guys survive this at all`? What will happen tomorrow These and other questions crossed his mind. Then he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned and looked at Julian, who was shaking his head as if to say not to think about it for long. But these questions also tormented them in silence.

René turned around and went back to his bed. Julian did the same, but both could hardly sleep that night. And when they were able to close one eye they saw the picture again in which Caro and Vegeta stared into each other's eyes and fought an inner battle. Somehow the two were afraid of the next day, but didn't dare tell each other.

The next day the friends woke up early. Reluctantly, they put on their Saiyan battle suits and went out into the hallway. They were surprised to find that pretty much all the other Saiyajin were already awake. They all went quickly in one direction. Julian hesitated and looked questioningly at René. He noticed that he was just as insecure as he was. "What should we do? Go with you?" René sighed. "We have no other choice ..." You could see on his face that he was not at all satisfied with what had happened.Had it not been for the threat from Earth, he would probably have taken a space capsule the previous day and flown away. Still, they followed the current. After a short time they came outside, where all the Guarden members quickly spread across the entire planet. What was it all about? At that moment Bardock came out of the gate behind them. And as if they had asked him what happened, he already answered their questions: "This is the training session. All fighters spread out on the planet and wait for an opponent. If he comes, of course there is fighting! The one who loses is then up fought alone and has to come back to the base alone with his injuries, if he has any. "With these words, he set out. René and Julian just looked at each other in silence. Julian first spoke up again: "What if we meet?" He asked. "We don't fight each other. And we don't hurt anyone in such a way that they can't make it back, right?", he answered. Julian nodded. Then they flew in opposite directions.

Around a corner stood a Saiyajin, huddled against the shadow of the wall. "Did I know", he muttered and disappeared back into the building.

René and Julian each moved so far away from the base in the farthest corners of the planet that they almost feared again that they would run into each other in the end.

René had settled in a ravine under the only tree in the area and was starting to think seriously about his situation. For a long time no one came, and yet he winced at every little noise and looked around carefully. Only once did he not respond to a noise and as a punishment he got a whole hail of stones almost on his head. But just as the hail came down, something seemed to tell him to concentrate. He did so and only seconds later found himself at a safe distance from the avalanche, without moving in the slightest. With a crash he saw the avalanche fall. He was about to think of a coincidence when he saw Raditz and Nappa descending the mountain. They looked at the cairn and then flew away as quickly as possible. René took no further notice and continued his train of thought about an escape.

Julian, on the other hand, had to work quite hard a few times in order not to be discovered. Many times, rather combative looking Saiyan passed his hiding place. Raditz and Nappa did not show up with him, however.

In the evening Julian saw how all the fighters near him were making their way home. Some of them looked pretty battered and limped right in the air.

René didn't notice any of this. He didn't even notice that it was getting dark, he was so absorbed in his plans, even though he knew that all his plans had an aftermath: the destruction of the earth. And wherever he settled, Vegeta would find him anywhere ... A tap of landing feet made his mind startled.Carefully he looked past the stone on which he had leaned and saw the prince standing almost disappointed in front of the falling rocks. His eyes sparkled with the stars and his fists were clenched. Without thinking what he was doing, he got up and stood next to the stone. "What are you doing here?" He asked. Vegeta turned to him and a smile formed on his face. "Kakarot ... I knew that more Saiyan or a prince would be needed to kill the last LightSaiyajin," he replied calmly. René looked confused “A WHAT please?” The prince laughed: “Oh, you don't even know what kind of danger you mean for all DarkSaiyajin?” Now René was totally confused. "DarkSaiyajin? Danger? Huh?" He was so confused that he didn't notice Vegeta disappear and reappear behind him. Only then did he realize, due to the pain in the neck area, that he had made a huge mistake. It went black around him and he sank to the ground ...

It took a while before he felt someone jolt his shoulder violently. Slowly he opened his eyes and looked directly into Julian's. He started up in a flash. "What ... what was going on here?" He asked, trying to line up his memories. "I was just about to ask you that," said his friend in response, "you were lying here unconscious in the middle of the plain!" "Vegeta! That must have been Vegeta!", René stated and then looked at Julian questioningly, "You know what DarkSaiyajin and LightSaiyajin are and what they have to do with each other? "Julian shook his head. "The best thing to do is tell us what happened in the 'apartment', okay?" "You?" René asked incredulously.
