In the late afternoon both were invited to Bulma`s big barbecue party. When Gohan and Videl got there, they were already expected. The entire Z-Troop, including women and children, were there. After everyone had greeted each other, everyone sat down at the table. “We warmly welcome Videl to our large family.” She blushed slightly and then looked at Gohan, whose hand was resting on her thigh and gently stroking it. After dinner, the adults sat down in the living room. Trunks, Goten, and to both dissatisfaction Marron went into the nursery and played. "How old are you actually?" Chichi asked curiously. “17!” Videl replied confidently. After an infinitely long evening, everyone went home. Since Videl was too tired to fly, Son Gohan took her in his arms and flew with her to his home. Once there, Videl was sleeping calmly. Chichi and Goku smiled at the two and then also went to bed.

The next morning Videl slowly opened her eyes. The seat next to her was empty. She got up slowly and ran into the kitchen. Chichi stood happily in front of the stove and sizzled breakfast. "Good morning Videl, did you sleep well?" "Yes, thank you. Where is Gohan?" "Well, where? Train with Goten and Goku." Chichi turned to the table and covered it. “You can do me a favor and get it.” Videl only nodded briefly and then walked towards the gravity room. When she opened the door, a huge ball of energy came towards her. Gohan tried to block him but failed. Videl was thrown against the nearest wall and slumped. When she came to she found herself on the bed. Goku and Gohan stood around them. “Everything OK?” Videl touched his head and groaned. Then she noticed how she was feeling sick and she ran past both of them in the direction of the toilet. After five minutes Videl stumbled out again and sat on one of the chairs in the dining area.Goku and Gohan were always hot on her heels. “Are you feeling better now?” Gohan asked worriedly. Videl only nodded briefly and then looked out the window. “What time is it?” She asked afterwards. "Shortly before 9:00 pm, why?" "What so late!" She screamed and went outside. Gohan ran after her and grabbed her wrist. "Where are you going? Believe me, my darling, you should rest. You can't fly again yet." "I have to go home, I'm expecting an important call." A car came out. She kissed Gohan goodbye and drove off. Goku stood next to his helpless son and put his hand on his shoulder. "She seems to be able to put away quite well. Don't worry so much!" Gohan smiled at his father and they both went back inside. That call wasn't the truth. She was quite sure now. There was no longer any doubt. She was pregnant.When he got home, Videl lay down on her bed and considered. "What a bummer. Why me of all people? What will Gohan say to that." Whenever she closed her eyes, she saw Gohan. He looked at her expectantly and pointed to her stomach. She quickly pushed the thought away and looked at the ceiling. "How will he react? Will he refuse or stand by me?" She couldn't close her eyes all night long. All the while she was thinking about her future. Should have an abortion. Early in the morning she had made up her mind. She wants to carry the child to term. She wants to have a family with Gohan. He was different from any other man she had before. He wasn't just interested in her strength. Gohan loved Videl for who she was.
