Chapter: Christmas at DBZ

1. An uphill battle

"This is by far the craziest thing I've ever heard!"

Bulma's eyes narrowed to dangerous slits.

"Grown men who voluntarily wear bobble hats and stick on false beards ... I'd rather be beaten up ten times before I embark on such a degrading action!"

Bulma started stamping on the floor with the heels of her shoes and crossed her arms over her chest. She looked like she was about to see that he was beaten up herself. Still, she was silent and only gave Vegeta a look that would have killed anyone else who was not a Sayajin and who did not have enormous physical strength.

"After all, my son is not supposed to become a tearful wimp!" he suggested and believed that he had finally distracted Bulma from her stupid idea.

Bulma stopped stamping her feet. Her eyebrows contracted relentlessly.

"You're going to wear this costume tonight, dear!" she said with an unrelenting cold smile.

Vegeta, a proud Sayajin prince, destroyer of many worlds, famous and feared all over the universe, opened his mouth to contradict: "But, ..."

He immediately fell silent again under Bulma's sparkling gaze. "Every father does something like this for his son. It would be nice if you did something else with your son than chop everything down!"

"Sayajins are not nice!" growled Vegeta.

At that moment a bright people rang out.

Bulma's mine brightened again. "There they are already! A little early, but better than too late!"

She hurried out of the room, leaving a sullen sayajin behind. A little later she returned accompanied by Son Goku and Chichi.

"Hello Vegeta, old house!" Son Goku greeted him and made angry to slap Vegeta on the shoulder.Vegeta's dark expression made him pause in his movement. "Kakarroto" said Vegeta taciturn.

Chichi put a large bowl in Bulma's arms.

"I was afraid that five Sayajin men would run out of food!" she said with a wink in Son Goku and Vegeta's direction.

Bulma shook her head. "Don't worry, I've already included your large appetite. I don't think anyone will starve to death tonight!"

"Tell me, Vegeta. You're making a particularly long face today. Is it the holidays or just because you got up on the wrong foot today?" Son Goku raised Vegeta.

"Oh, shut up, Kakarroto!" Vegeta growled sullenly.

"Just ignore him!" Bulma said snappy.

"It's just so bad because I asked him a cute little favor!"

"Tiny!" Vegeta grimaced "What you are asking for is pure torture!"

Chichi and Son Goku looked at Bulma with interest.

"What is it about?" asked Son Goku curiously.

Bulma shrugged. "For nothing great ... I asked this no-nonsense just to play Santa Claus for Trunks tonight! What's in it? I suppose Son Goku does that for his sons every year!"

Chichi frowned. "No, not really ..."

Meanwhile, Son Goku grinned like a honey cake horse in Vegeta's direction. "Well then, have fun and my condolences!"

He struggled not to laugh under Vegeta's death gaze.

"... when I think about it, it's not a bad idea!" Chichi's voice penetrated his thoughts.

Son Goku blinked. "How?"

Chichi gave him a happy smile. "Well, you could help Vegeta tonight! We are sure to find a costume for you too ... Son Goten will be thrilled!"

From then on, Chichi was no longer receptive to any contradiction on the part of Son Goku.

Vegeta and Son Goku looked at each other with gloomy looks.

"You did a great job!" Son Goku muttered softly. Vegeta shrugged. At least Kakarroto was now also in the dark.

Bulma interrupted her conversation with Chichi and looked at the two men. "You still have to get the costumes and we also need a little more potatoes, since I hadn't planned on Son Gohan and Videl yesterday, they should come soon ... Besides, it would be nice if you could get some presents, that you will give to the children tonight! " Bulma said lightly. Chichi nodded in agreement.

"Potatoes ?!" jabbed Son Goku.

"Presents ?!" gasped Vegeta.

Chichi and Bulma eyed her in silence.

"What about it?" asked Bulma.

"It's Christmas! All hell breaks loose in the city!" said Vegeta.

Bulma shrugged. "What's the matter? You have been the strongest warriors in the universe ... A few clumsy people who do their last Christmas shopping shouldn't cause you any problems ..."

Vegeta and Son Goku eyed her skeptically.

"You should go! Shops close in two hours!" Bulma said impatiently.

Sighing, the two Sayajin men bowed to the overwhelming odds and set out to wage a hopeless fight .......

"Sequel follows"

I hope you like the story and would be particularly happy about comments and criticism. PS: I know there is still a long way to go before Christmas, but at the moment I couldn't think of anything better to write about. So please give me time *** g ***!
