Silence - The God of Evil (Part 7)
All he wants is Hell on Earth!
From Son-Goku Daimao
Panic had broken out across the city. Zero City was like a war zone. The streets were clogged in both lanes and the horns were buzzing and booming from all directions. Exhaust gases shot through the air, making your eyes sting. Crowds of people pushed their way through the pedestrian zones and at the bus and subway stations people literally struggled to get on first. Everyone screamed and screamed, sirens from stuck police and fire engines wailed everywhere. Helicopters from television stations and the military rushed through the high-rise canyons, trying to appease people with megaphones. Crossroads were like a maze. The traffic lights had long since given up and there was no trace of police officers who could regulate the traffic. So everyone assumed they had the right of way and now there were almost thirty cars that had crashed into each other. Some drivers couldn't even open their doors as other cars were pushed against them from both sides. Nevertheless, the individual people insisted on yelling at each other, insulting each other and sometimes attacking each other. In fact, not even half of them knew what was going on. Most of them had taken a leisurely peek around town that afternoon to see what was new. Sure, they had heard something on the news that morning that supposedly some monster had appeared at the martial arts tournament and that something was wrong in the nearby Java Park, too, but my God. That was 6km away. And then all of a sudden there had been a bang and the alarm siren had started to howl. And then they all ran off. Almost no one knew that the only way to survive was to get out of here in the next few minutes.
"So what should we do now?", Silence asked his new friend, who was still resting comfortably on his shoulders and now and then ran her tongue over his cheek. The other snakes crawled nimbly after him. However, they were very quiet. No rustling or clinking, no hissing or hissing, just the barely audible rubbing of their bodies on the gray concrete. He looked around. The road here hadn't endured that much. A couple of huge cracks gaped there and where the hydrants once stood, now the water shot out in huge fountains. Normally children would have run out now and danced under the downpour, but there were no more children who could have done that.
The adjoining houses, mostly residential buildings, had collapsed, burned or had been torn away completely.
To the left was a two-story building, the front of which had simply been cut away. You could see the living room, which you could only recognize by the sofa hanging halfway over the edge and the burned-out television.
The only skyscraper on the street loomed to the right. All the panes were cracked. A car hung from the window frame on some floors. Some of them swayed ominously when a gust hit them.
A couple of power cables twisted like freshly pulled earthworms and sprayed their sparks while they kept making a loud crack. When Silence got to the intersection where the lump of cars was parked, he looked down the other three streets. They were all crammed but almost undamaged. Okay, every now and then a car was on the roof or a window pane was broken, but Silence couldn't remember that it was him. He grinned crookedly and stroked Reideen's head.
He was just about to get his hands in the right position to send off a pressure wave when he felt a couple of auras, very familiar to him, in the sky approaching him.
"We're lucky, Reideen. Our entertainment program comes up ahead.", he chirped to his python and then slowly floated under the awning of the next high-rise ............
"And you really mean that Bulma's plan will work?" Kuririn asked his friend while he was flying next to him.
"Sure, why shouldn't it work? With the Dragonballs we have THE solution to our problem. Thank God this Silence doesn't know anything about Shenlong, otherwise we could really pack up.", Goku replied and winked at Kuririn. The whole squad had followed the god's aura for a long time. It had been very strong, sometimes you could feel it so well that you got a headache and that meant something. Yet none of them were really frightened. Vegeta made derogatory remarks about Silence every now and then, and Gohan and Goku laughed at self-cunning jokes the whole time. Only the former Shaolin monk had his concerns. Were the others really that carefree and courageous, or were they just covering up their fear in order to be able to fight better?Kuririn didn't know and he didn't want to know either. The feeling in his stomach was far too bad for that.
"Oh, God, take a look at that." Arale called and stopped in the air. She straightened her glasses, which almost slipped off her, and pointed to the rubble field below them. Goku and the others looked directly at a junkyard, there was no other way of expressing it.
Metal and brick lay wildly scattered and broken apart in large and small piles, light bulbs of all colors had their glass all over the floor. Strange cars with no roofs lay on top of each other, totally compressed or torn apart. And then they saw the people who were lying between all the iron and wood. Arms and legs hung out of large heaps of garbage. Blood stains stuck to the asphalt. The smell of death hung over the whole area.
"What the hell is that?" Vegeta asked, making a slightly disgusted face.
That surprised Goku a bit, since the Saiyajin prince had seen something like that enough, mostly through his own fault.
"It is or better said was the Java-Park. A leisure center.", Arale answered and looked away with glassy eyes.
Gohan looked a little confused at the floor. Was that supposed to be Java Park? He had been here with his school class once. He wouldn't have recognized it at all. But then he saw a big round thing lying in a pile of bent rails. Upon closer inspection, he realized that it was the Ferris wheel for which the park was so famous. He himself had done a few laps in there with Videl. They almost kissed back then. Videl got up briefly and then the Ferris wheel jerked. Videl had fallen into his lap and their faces were only a few millimeters apart. But they both had just got red heads and had kept the greatest possible distance from each other from then on.He found it absurd that he was now remembering it. Maybe it was because he was worried about Videl.
"Well, it doesn't matter now, we have to go on.", Piccolo urged and everyone flew off, everyone except Arale.
"Arale, what is it?" Goku asked and put a hand on her shoulder.
"Oh..nothing. It's just that my cousin, Chibiusa, wanted to go to this park with her parents today. And now they are ..." she breathed and wiped a tear away.
"Don't worry about that. We have the Dragon Balls. You will see them again in a year.", Goku consoled her, whereupon she gathered herself again and flew with the others.
After a while they came to a town. From a distance you could see the collapsed high-rise building and a few billows of smoke, although it was only a little later that you realized that the smoke columns came from several burning houses.
"So you have to give him one thing. He's top notch when it comes to breaking things.", Vegeta said and immediately got a dirty look from C18 and Arale.
"And where is he now?" Asked Tenshinhan and searched the area with his three eyes.
"Wait a minute ......... Can't you feel that?" Goku suddenly whispered and got a concentrated expression on his face. Everyone else did the same.
"You are right. He has extinguished his aura.", Piccolo said in an even quieter tone.
Everyone was now surveying the streets below with extreme caution. But he was nowhere to be found.
They were floating down a little when Gohan suddenly called out.
"Look over there. The snakes!"
Everyone turned and saw the same thing. Directly in front of a skyscraper that was right at a totally overcrowded intersection, twenty snakes lolled on the sidewalk and looked in their direction ......
"And where for now?" Asked Bulma, who was sitting at the helm of the glider and looking at her instruments.
"Thirty degrees north, then straight ahead.", ChiChi replied and looked at the dragon radar that she was holding in her hands. It was about the size of a CD and had a white frame. On the dark green radar screen with a checkered pattern, seven bright, yellow dots lit up at the moment. ChiChi pressed a few times on the button at the top of the radar to reduce the search field. The bright point that was previously at the bottom right now almost filled the entire screen.
"We're lucky that Goku has a dragon ball at home.", Videl said and leaned over ChiChi's backrest from behind.
"Yeah, he's not that kind of intelligent guy, but you can rely on him.", ChiChi replied and pressed the radar to her chest. She smiled and got a glassy look.
"What do you have?" Asked Bulma and looked at her questioningly.
"Oh, I just had to think about our first meeting. That was also because of the dragon balls. One was lying in our castle.I immediately fell in love with him. ", ChiChi breathed and blushed slightly.
"Well, I have to admit that you were lucky with your husband.", Bulma replied and looked out at the area again. A few mountains rose to the left, a brook babbled to the right. A thick, green forest stretched below them.
"What do you mean?", ChiChi asked and looked again at Bulma questioningly.
"Oh, you know. Son-Goku is a cute and caring person. He takes care of his children, is always there for you and takes care of you. And what do I have? A Saiyajin prince who prefers to train than with me."
