--- Just a person --- Part 3

“Where have you been for so long?” Trunks looked at the floor. "I was so worried. It could have happened who knows what!" Bulma was pretty pissed off. "Where have you been young man?" "I was still in town. I'm not a child anymore!" Trunks groaned in reply. "On no, my dear! You won't get away from me that easy! Tomorrow we'll talk about your little trip, now you go to bed first!" Trunks complied because he didn't want any further confrontation. “See you tomorrow!” He went into his room, but for the time being, Sleep was out of the question. He still thought only of Thiorni. He knew he would not be able to sleep. Trunks tried anyway.

“Good morning!” Bulma walked happily into the kitchen. Trunks had been sitting there with bowed head for two hours. " Tomorrow !" he mumbled. Bulma sat down and examined her son closely. "Ok my dear. What's going on lately? You keep staring around and the thing about last night ... and this morning you're up earlier than me! Do you have a girlfriend?" Trunks tossed his mother one terrified look. Could she feel it? "No! How do you get that?" he stuttered. Bulma didn't change the worried expression on her face. "Really? What is it then? Why aren't you talking to me?" Trunks looked at the table. "I don't know. I think I'll have to go through it alone ..." he muttered. Bulma sighed. "Well, if you think so. I'll give you a few days. If you don't open up then, I'll take you on!" Trunks didn't answer and watched from the corner of his eye as Bulma disappeared into the bathroom. He immediately jumped up and slipped out the front door. For a moment he took a deep breath and looked at the morning. Then he picked up and disappeared in the direction of the television tower. He hadn't made a deal with Thiorni, but ... Trunks remembered last night. He had soaked in her scent as he leaned against her shoulder. He was still drunk with joy because he couldn't believe that this beautiful girl was interested in him. And it had done him good to be able to tell someone about his worries. He couldn't remember ever feeling like that. Trunks slowly approached the ground when the one next to the tower had arrived. He looked in all directions, but few people were walking around anyway. Those who survived preferred not to pay any attention to themselves and what was left of the city. The cyborgs were still very active and took great pleasure in attacking the scattered survivors. Trunks wandered the alleyways a little.Somehow he hoped to find Thiorni or some trace of her. It wasn't easy. There was rubble everywhere and large holes and cracks in the pavement made it difficult to get ahead. Then Trunks saw a crack in a wall with a few chunks lying around in front of it. He felt himself transported back to the empty hall from the day before yesterday and thought of the man again. His look, so incredulous and oanish. And then the calm when the dust had cleared. That feeling when he realized what he had done ... Trunks forgot the world around him for a moment. Only when a screeching metal sound rang out behind him did he wake up from his daydream. A hidden reinforced door had opened behind him and now a transport vehicle drove out. It was beefy and somehow seemed crouched because it was flat. Also, someone had painted it in all sorts of shades of gray so that it wouldn't stand out in the rubble on the streets. Trunks was amazed. The people here weren't quite at the end!He looked after the vehicle, which was probably looking for food or gasoline. " Good luck !" he said suddenly, following an impulse. Then he turned back and continued walking in the direction he thought Thiorni was. Trunks listened, but apart from the wind whistling through cracks and crevices, nothing could be heard. He went on. After a while he smelled smoke and heard scraps of conversation and laughter. “People still live in this area?” Trunks was amazed. So far he had only ever seen people on the outskirts. Curious, he came closer. He followed the smell and climbed through a ruined garage. Then he saw fire and people who had settled in an old parking garage. "Hey, here's one!" someone suddenly shouted and everyone there froze and looked at Trunks. "He's a boy! Keep calm!" then someone else called and the conversation continued. Trunks hesitantly approached. " Who are you, then ?" a man asked him.He just given the all-clear. “My name is Trunks! I just happened upon this place!” The man looked at him. "Where do you come from? You have clean clothes and are pretty well groomed towards us here!" Trunks looked at the floor. “I'm from the 6th quarter, from the Capsule Coorp.” The man's eyes widened. "Really? Isn't it! What drives a spoiled boy like you here?" Trunks glared angrily at the man. “I'm looking for someone.” The man laughed softly. “And who?” Trunsk did not answer. "Well, find it! Or do you want some tea?" He went to one of the fires and Trunks slowly followed him. He was not entirely at ease with the man, but perhaps he knew where Thiorni was. “Come on!” The man waved. Trunks obediently sat down next to him and took a closer look at the surrounding camps. There was furniture everywhere and blankets and carpets covering the concrete of the parking garage. It was really cozy. "Well, do you like our arrangement here?“The man noticed his look.” My name is Colbert! "They shook hands. Trunks noticed that some people were watching the scene. He didn't show anything, but he paid close attention to his immediate surroundings. Colbert began to ask him about his origins and Trunks reported a little about home and." the people in his neighborhood. After a while several people joined them and read him spellbound. Trunks got nervous. "Trunks! "Colbert smiled." Keep calm. We just want to hear that there are others. We can hardly get out of here. "Trunks was then bombarded with questions." Do you still have refrigerators? "" Do you have cars? "" Do you still get bread? "" How many are still alive with you? "Trunks, who actually wanted to ask about Thiorni, felt compelled to give people a little hope with his reports. He told them about his house and his mother and the neighbors. But things didn't look much better for him either.Only apparently there was only one car left here, namely the tank he had seen earlier. "Yes, he is our last hope!" said Colbert, who Trunks now assumed to be some kind of leader. "With him we get our food and everything we need." Trunks was silent. Then, when he said no more, some of the people went back to their own fires. "Colbert?" Trunks asked after a few minutes of silence. “Yes?” “Do you know a girl named Thiorni?” Colbert looked at him seriously. “How do you know her?” “We met the other day.” Trunks was embarrassed. He felt as if Colbert suddenly had something against him. “Did you really see her?” Trunks was confused. "Yes. What do you mean?" Colbert pushed his lower jaw out. "She's dead. That's why you couldn't have seen her. She died a month ago in a collapse with her foster father." Colbert looked sharply at Trunks. " Who are you ?" he suddenly asked loudly and thunderously.Trunks was startled and moved away from him a little. Then Colbert nodded to someone behind Trunks. But Trunks had already noticed the two men standing behind him. In a flash he hit them both lightly in the chest. The force of the blow is still enough to make her fly back several meters. Colbert and the others looked at Trunks in amazement. "What was that supposed to be?" he asked angrily and got up. “I haven't done anything to you!” Colbert swallowed. “Why do you have such powers?” Trunks didn't answer. Instead, he transformed into a super Saiyan. The bright light of his aura illuminated the entire room. Lightning crackles beside him. "Don't be afraid!" ripe trunks to the frightened people who crouched and squeezed the walls. "I am not your enemy! I am the son of one of the shining warriors who fought and died when the cyborgs arrived!" Colbert gathered himself and took a step in his direction."We heard these stories. But we never thought they could be true!" He stared at Trunks. “What do you want?” “I'm looking for Thiorni! And she's not dead! I talked to her yesterday!” Trunks weakened his aura a little. Colbert shook his head. "That can't be. It must have been someone else! She's dead! I saw it!" Trunks' expression darkened. "Then I'll find her! I know what I've seen!" He was about to fly out when something occurred to him. He turned back around. " I help you !" he ripe for the whole crowd. “I plan to fight the cyborgs at some point, but it'll take a while. If you want, I'll connect you to the other districts again!” Colbert looked around and whispered a little to some other people. "All right! We're waiting!" He faced Trunks. "I'm sorry about just now. I hope you really are who you say you are!" He shook hands with Trunks again.“To a good alliance!” Trunks nodded. "I have to go! See you soon!" And he flew away through the ruined garage entrance. "Maybe we can finally dare to hope again!" said Colbert to himself.

"Thiorni! Where are you? Thiorni!" trunks screamed the name out loud as it flew through the street canyons. He didn't care now if he frightened other people. He wanted to know what this was all about. He had seen her after all! Or had his desperation played a trick on him and he had fantasized? No! Trunks remembered her smell. "I know you exist!" he shouted.
