Fanfic: Ungewollte Wahrheit (Love Story)

drove back to Peter. Janina had not yet given Frank the letter. She probably didn't want it yet.

Everyone stayed with Peter a little longer. "Are you taking me home right away, Frank?" asked Janina. "Yes, of course, we have nothing else to do!" said Frank with a somewhat pleased expression. Then they both left. They talked about God and the world, but they did not mention the letter. But shortly before Janina's front door, she gave him the letter and the two said goodbye to each other. Frank read the letter on the way to Peter. Frank found out that Janina doesn't want to be with him because they are such good friends, and that they have often been with friends with whom she is no longer as good friends as she was before the relationship. She gave the example of Viktor, with whom she did not talk properly for four months afterwards. Frank thought, "I'm maybe completely different, how does she want to know? There must be one or two other reasons. I wouldn't endanger the friendship, afterwards I would talk to her the same way as before, if not even better, unless she doesn't want to talk to me! "Then Frank stopped thinking and just went back to the others. They watched a little more television and then everyone went home again. Except Frank, who drove to Nadine, with whom he was in love before Janina. Then he kissed Nadine and they talked about school days back then. Then the two became a little more intimate and later Frank just drove home and thought about Janina again, he regretted going to Nadine but what should he do? Running after someone who doesn't love you, at least he could have fun with Nadine. Then he sat down at home and wrote a letter to Janina.

The next day he gave her the letter and she read it. This went on for a few days. There were still many small parties celebrated and everyone had a lot of fun.

Then it was time for Frank to go to his cousin in Hanover the next day. Melanie was already back from vacation. "Come here, I have to tell you something, Frank," Melanie called to Frank. Then Melanie whispered something in Frank's ear, "Bring Janina home right away, and then just kiss her, she'll join in because she's really up for it." Frank looked at her and agreed. "Frank will you bring me home right away" asked Janina. "Yes, I like to do it," said Frank with a small hint of underhandedness in his voice. Then the two went off. Shortly at her front door, Frank said, "I have to ask you something, otherwise I'll get hit! May I kiss you?" Janina looked at him and she was embarrassed, she said, "Maybe, if you had just done it, then everything would be been ok!"Frank looked at her and said nothing. Then he wanted to kiss her goodbye, but then he kissed her properly. They hugged and kissed a little longer. Then Janina went home, before she gave him a friendly kiss Frank saw exactly that she was embarrassed that they had just kissed. Then Frank went back to the others. After a few hours he went home.

The next day he drove to Hanover for a week. There he thought a lot about Janina, he often called her or wrote messages with her on her cell phone. There were a lot of parties in Hanover and Frank had a lot of fun, but he wanted so much to see Janina again to see whether something might have changed in her feelings. Then he drove back to Ratingen and saw everyone again.

Frank wrote a letter to Janina every day in Hanover about what he was doing there and how he thinks. When she read the letter, she laughed and said "Well, you probably had a lot of fun in Hanover at the many parties".Frank looked at her and said "Yes, actually, but if you had been there I would have had more fun". Then the two ended their conversation.

Now Viktor and Nino came back from Hungary too. The two told a lot about the vacation they had experienced. But Viktor laughed at Frank about the matter with Janina, since Kosta had told him everything.

Frank once told Janina about a story where someone falls in love and then dies. Janina really wanted to read this story, but she didn't know that Frank had written this story himself. A few days later Frank gave Janina the story and read it. She started crying over a suicide note that was at the end of the story. After a few minutes Frank told her that he had written the story himself, at first she didn't believe it, but then she started to believe him when she read the story a second time. She asked him to write another story on the same subject.Frank did that too, of course. This story didn't turn out as good as Janina had hoped. Frank wrote many farewell letters to Janina afterwards. After a while she got upset about it, believing that Frank would also have an illness or something like that. She asked Frank "Why do you always write farewell letters and why do you talk so much about the subject dead, and why have you been in such a bad mood lately? Do you have any illness"? Frank looked at her and didn't even know what to say "No, I haven't, how do you get it, if I had something like that then I would tell someone, right?" said Frank after a minute of silence. "You wouldn't do that for I know you too well, you wouldn't tell anyone you would write a suicide note just like the guy in your story, and that's how you'd explain it to everyone you loved". Frank calmed down a bit and just said "if you think so, believe what you want to believe, I can't change anything".Then he just walked away and thought for himself. A few days later Janina came back to him. Again he didn't know what to say, so he said, "In the end I often think of death because I have a lot of problems at home, I think of suicide, what should I still live for, I've already thrown my life away . I really don't know what to do anymore, familiar life, such nonsense there is no life that can be familiar to me ". "Frank, why do you say something like that, never think of suicide, live your life, it will be fine". Inwardly, Frank knew exactly what he was saying, but what he was saying wasn't the truth, he wanted to tell Janina the truth about everything at some point, but he still needed some time, he didn't know whether he had found the person he could tell it.

Later Janina came back to Frank and wanted to know what was going on. Frank thought this is the right one, I'll tell her, I can trust her."Janina, I have to tell you the truth about everything now, I went to the doctor in September 1999, they found out that I had lung cancer. I knew the doctor's son and therefore the doctor promised me that he would not tell my parents He said I still have 3 - 4 years to live, since my lung cancer was inherited, it cannot be cured. "Janina looked at him and said nothing, she had already thought that it would be something like that. In the next few days the two talked a lot about this subject only when they were alone. Frank knew that Janina wouldn't tell any further, he trusted her.

But one day Janina came to him and said "I don't believe you any more"! Frank didn't even know what was going on, not what to say, so he said "Janina, I have to confess something to you, I won't die because I have no illness at all"! Janina played completely crazy, she said "I will never trust you again, you don't even know how often I thought of you because of that and what I thought you are an asshole"!Who could blame Janina for reacting like this, her trust was being exploited and everything that formed their friendship was built on trust. Janina just went away and left Frank there alone. Over the next few days Frank apologized a thousand times but nothing seemed to help. He himself thought that the friendship between the two was gone, but how should he rebuild it since he had lied to her so much.

Time made us forget everything, the two were good friends again after a few weeks. But other friends also came. Everything went on as before, there was a lot of talking and a lot of laughing, even Frank's love for Janina remained. But a year later everything fell apart, everyone started to work and no one had time for any more. So many friendships were simply pushed out of everyday life and new ones were created. Sometimes they all met again and talked about old times. But after another two years, Frank never came to a meeting, no one knew what was happening with him, some had forgotten him, some not quite but almost, even Janina no longer thought of him.

Frank was in the hospital and struggled with his illness, namely, he had lung cancer, what he said to Janina, but she didn't believe him, at that time he already had the disease but then he said to Janina I'm not sick because he had it could not prove.

While dying he wrote a long farewell letter to Janina:

"Dear Janina,

When you receive this letter, I will have died of the disease that I would not believe in. When I told you back then that I wasn't sick after all, I only did that because you had never believed me. For me it was hard to see that you didn't believe me because I trusted you very much and I had thought that you would take it seriously, but you thought it wouldn't work because the doctor had a duty to say it, but he did to me. Now you have to believe me. You don't even know how much I miss you in my last days or hours! I'm lying here in bed and writing you this letter hoping that you will at least come to my funeral. We haven't seen each other for a long time, maybe you're sad about my death, but probably not, we don't really know each other anymore. But if you feel sad, please don't! You used to know me pretty well, and you knew that I could never bear pity and sadness, but I could bear them no. Do you still remember that one summer day? When we kissed for the first and last time? It was the best moment in my life and it has stayed that way! Whenever I looked at the sky afterwards and saw the moon I thought of you as you were, in the night you brightened my life,
