Fanfic: Son Gokus Tod (Kurzgeschichte)

Chapter: Son Goku's death (short story)

The cold breath of death touched him, or rather, it pierced him. A stabbing pain shot through his entire body, it spread in a circle from the point of impact until even the most remote corner of his body had learned that he was fatally wounded. Silence, absolute silence spread around him, even though the people around were anything but calm. His wound was big, no, it was huge. You could easily have slipped your hand through it. It was raining blood, at least on the places on the ground where he was. The face was smeared with sweat and covered with minor wounds and scratches. He still couldn't believe that he had been judged by this enemy.

"Son Goku!", Somewhere in the distance he heard a bloodcurdling cry of pain penetrate the eerie silence. He only took blurry outlines of the figures that came running to him. A comforting tiredness spread in him, against which one had no chance to fight against it, not even him as a warrior.Slowly his muscles began to quit. His breathing was visibly more restless, flickering and anything but steady. He sank to his knees because he could no longer carry his own weight. This drowsy feeling spread in his body, the pounding pain disappeared, more and more disappeared from him. His thoughts and deliberations became less and less important in these moments and were noticeably removed from his head. The only really disturbing thing was this unfamiliar silence, with it came the darkness. "Son Goku! Get up please!" He just noticed how someone was apparently grabbing his shoulder. Although he could hardly feel the pressure of the hands he knew so well, he felt secure in these seemingly endless moments. With the last of his strength reserves he raised his head again and looked up. His eyes, however, played illusions for him, blurred, changing again and again or they were showing something completely different from what was going on outside. But he knew who he was kneeling in front of, the most important person in the entire universe had been to him, and she would always be. His facial muscles managed one last smile until the strength subsided and his head fell down unchecked. As long as his brain still allowed him, he brought back the image of those people with whom he had spent practically his entire life, a very short life as you all thought. How much he loved you and still loved you. His love was unbroken and stronger than before. He was sorry that he had to say goodbye to them in this way, because he wasn't even allowed the time to say goodbye to them. But death is ruthless and very unreasonable in this regard. But the thought of seeing you again at some point gave him new strength for the long journey that he would soon embark on. The last seconds had come, his heart was only dragging out of time until ... silence.Suddenly he felt freed from all worries and fears that had accumulated in the course of his life. Many of them were small and incidental, but others were big and filling. He was now in perfect harmony with his surroundings. Defeated, his now lifeless body sank to the ground. "I'll never forgive you for what you did to him!" Roared a voice that was also so familiar to him next to his corpse, but he didn't care much anymore.
