Fanfic: Die Spirits-Saga (2. Kapitel)

In the meantime, the fight between Son Goku and the stranger, although his aura could not be felt, had not gone unnoticed elsewhere either. Piccolo, who was traveling with Kuririn, had immediately sensed Goku's aura and there was no question that something was wrong. And when the aura suddenly became so weak and almost died out, Kuririn was also convinced of it. Until then he had believed that his friend had just got into another fight with Vegeta ... And he wasn't that wrong. The other members of Group Z had also sensed Goku's energy and were now on their way to him. In the meantime Vegeta had decided to follow the stranger. However, this turned out to be more difficult than he had thought. This guy was extremely fast, Vegeta could hardly keep up with him. And he was sure he wasn't flying so fast to leave him ... There was no question that the stranger knew that he was being followed. He had obviously already been able to feel the erased auras of his two observers, and Vegeta was now flying at full speed. No. He had a goal, and he wanted to get there as soon as possible. Finally the man in the red cloak stopped, thrust down like an eagle, and immediately came up again. Then he put something in a pocket, which it was, but Vegeta couldn't see it, and then ... Yes, what 'and then'? Nothing! The guy just disappeared! Where it had been floating a few moments ago there was only a fine mist to be seen, and this too was now quickly fading ... "Not with me!"Vegeta said to himself, and accelerated even further. It flew towards the fog, and finally into it ... Brrrr! That stuff was freezing! Then he felt like he was falling ...

Deep inside his great ship, the master sat in his private rooms ... Finally! It would finally happen! Soon he would be holding the time key from the Temple of Termina ... and destroying it! Then the gate to unlimited power was finally opened for him too. That old fool who tried to convince him that this gate would only open to someone with a pure heart ... laughable! By force it finally worked ... The time key ... An old artifact that separated the different time levels and dimensions from one another ... If it were destroyed, everything would merge seamlessly ... Then there was no longer any barrier that separated him from his goal! For more than five decades he had been looking for the fragments of the stone tablet that would open the temple for him ... And Zoa was just about to fetch and insert the last one!It was only a matter of time before he brought the time key ... After that, it was expendable. Like everyone else he'd made use of over the years ... One of the first was this Freezer. One of the splinters was on his home planet ... The way he got Freezer and his kin to serve him had been a real feat. Unfortunately it was not crowned with success ... This woman had put her object of desire together with her bellows in the capsule and shot it into space. That bitch! Well, he had it now ... And the one who was on earth he could have had long ago ... At this thought an unbelievable anger rose in him ... Tommra and Indra ... That had been the second time that his servants had failed in their search for the splinter on earth! The first time ... It was partly his own fault. He had underestimated the will and strength of the person he had chosen for it.But he never made that mistake again afterwards ... Because by doing so he had lost control of him after he had made it possible for him to manifest ... After he had separated from the disgustingly good and noble part of his personality .. .

Meanwhile his friends had finally found Goku ... At first they even suspected that Vegeta could be responsible for his condition, but Piccolo was sure that this could not be the case. Such a powerful attack and amount of energy could not possibly have come from Vegeta. The two were almost equally strong, a fight between them could last hours before either of them was battered like Goku is now ... So Vegeta couldn't be the culprit, where was he anyway? The two had started out together ... But this question now seemed irrelevant to everyone. Much more interesting was the spaceship that was still there. Apparently someone had landed, attacked Goku, and then disappeared, leaving their ship behind.Probably he would need it again sooner or later, they thought ... So he would come again too, that much was clear. Yamcha should bring Goku home first. Gohan knew that his father still had some magic beans and described to Yamcha exactly where he would find them. The rest of them wanted to search the area, maybe the attacker was still nearby ... and Vegeta had disappeared too. Pool, Oolong and Videl wanted or, in the latter case, should accompany Yamcha. Because if they really did run into this guy, it wouldn't be a Sunday stroll. Son-Goku was still unconscious, so couldn't explain anything to them ... If he had been able to say something, he would probably have warned his friends about the stranger and strongly advised them not to pursue him. This guy fought in a strange way ... and he had skills and powers none of them had ever known ...

While it was being decided who would do what and who would go where, Vegeta had finished his infinite fall. In reality, the whole thing hadn't lasted a second. His first thought was, where is this guy? And how did he do that ?! And in his anger Vegeta didn't even notice the strange surroundings ... At least the earth wasn't anymore. It was on a plain, and the only thing that grew on the light brown, dusty ground were these very strange plants ... If they were plants. They were white to light gray and looked like gas-filled balloons that floated on strings about a meter above the ground, usually several of them stood together in groups. And ... somehow these things moved. They rocked back and forth and seemed to pulsate like a heartbeat. But even when Vegeta finally became aware of the strange surroundings, he was not really interested in it. Much more interesting was the huge structure that towered into the sky some distance away.A gigantic pyramid, the golden exterior of which glistened in the sunlight ... Vegeta headed straight for it. If this guy was anywhere, it would be there. He cursed the fact that he couldn't feel its aura, otherwise it would have been easy to find! But his guess about the man's whereabouts was correct, and soon he would reach him. Incidentally, the young man was just about to take out the item he had stowed in his pocket. It was a flat, dark gray stone, one side of which seemed to have some symbols carved into it. Then he entered the entrance hall inside the pyramid. There he walked purposefully towards the back of the room, he went to a relief, but part of which was still missing ... The one he was holding in his hand! The last part ... it was done! How many times had he come here to insert one of the pieces ... The room was familiar to him by now.The deep black walls that swallowed every bit of light ... The equally black, though reflective floor ... And those strange lights that looked like stars against the black background and were the only source of light. Now he pushed the missing part into place ... Vegeta arrived just in time to witness the following spectacle. The relief began to shine, a huge, sun-like symbol was clearly visible in the middle and was surrounded by some characters ... Then the light went out again and you could see that the fragments had reassembled, not a crack was to be seen . Finally a crack appeared exactly in the middle, vertically from top to bottom ... Then the relief opened like a gate ... The heavy double doors swung open and revealed a brightly lit room. The stranger walked in without hesitation and Vegeta followed him, his first thought as he walked into the room was> Here it looks exactly like the space of spirit and time!

In the middle of the room there was a strange object on the floor, which the stranger was now approaching unerringly. It looked like a very exotic, golden hourglass filled with silvery sand and was no bigger than a soccer ball. The moment the stranger picked them up, Vegeta launched a strong ki attack ... He gave all he had and ignored the severe pain in his left hand. But it didn't hit the man, but the hourglass ... At the last moment the pain had got the upper hand and Vegeta had winced. The hourglass now burst with a bang and the sand splashed away in all directions. The man looked at him in amazement ... "Hm, you have even more energy than the guy before, but you have even less idea how to control it! If I had the time and you would be on my side, you would I'm trying to train you ... Anyway, you've just saved me and my master's work. Thank you, you fool! "Then he triggered a huge explosion, the pressure wave of which threw Vegeta against the wall, the impact was so hard that he even heard some of his bones break before everything went quiet again and he sank to the ground ... The guy was gone again! Only the fragments of the hourglass and the fine sand were still there ... Vegeta gasped, some broken ribs pressed against his lungs ... Shit ... He had never seen anything like it! He thought of all the opponents he had fought so far ... None of them could be compared to this one! There was simply no defense against his attacks ... Of course he had tried to block the blast from this explosion, but somehow it didn't work ... it just didn't work! The arm he was trying to block with wasn't even touched! The attack just passed it, or maybe even ran right through it ... I don't know. Vegeta had only felt the power of this
