Chapter 1: The Thief

It was one of those damn evenings she wanted to give up on her job again. It was already after 2 a.m. and in the small bar, where she worked from Monday to Thursday, there were still a number of guests who didn't look as if they wanted to leave any moment. Among them were three men who had already had plenty to drink and who would certainly cause problems if they were to be shown outside. It was Monday, a day when it was never really busy. For this reason, she always worked alone on Mondays.

She had an 8am lecture the next morning that she definitely didn't want to miss. Ecology was coming up, the only subject she wasn't interested in, and the exams were not far off.

Finally the larger group - they made more than half of their guests - decided to pay and leave. These people really made a nice impression, they had already started a casual conversation with her when she placed the order.Unfortunately, that was canceled because one of those drunkards who was sitting at the bar wanted another vodka and complained loudly that she wasn't standing behind the counter where she belonged. Anyway, everything was paid for by one and the same person, a woman in her mid-40s with a strange hair color, it should be light blue. She paid the bill, which was limited to about a month's salary for the bartender, and added a hefty tip with a friendly smile. Strangely enough, everyone shook hands with her as she parted. 'They are nice people!' Diana thought and her cheeks turned red with embarrassment. Last was an old man's turn. He was maybe two heads shorter than Diana and came very close to her. A mindless grin crept over his lips and in the next moment he had caught a hearty slap in the face. But not from Diana, but from the woman with the light blue hair, who then smiled apologetically and added a "Don't pay any attention to him!" spawned.

The group was just about to leave the bar when an angry "Wo bischdudenn ??? I want another drink! But dalli!" came. The author of these "words" could hardly stay on his stool and swayed dangerously as he looked around for her. Diana made her way back to the counter. "It is better if you pay now Mr." she said to him 'I don't want you to puke up my counter! '.

"Videl, is it okay if we stay here? I don't think she can do it on her own!" "It's okay, but you'll have to fly me home for that, because I'm actually much too tired! " replied the addressed and whispered: "You can stay with me then!" The young man flew a big grin on his face. Then he gave the others to understand that they wanted to stay.

Meanwhile Diana had started a heated discussion with the drunkard, who stubbornly maintained that he was not drunk and that he could take at least 30 more drinks.

The young man and the girl - Videl - approached the counter. Once there, he tapped the drunkard and gave him with increased pressure on his shoulder to understand that he should please pay. Suddenly the man was very meek and quickly put a hundred on the counter and before Diana could give him the change he had disappeared from the shop.

"Thank you! I really couldn't have done that!" said the young bartender to her helper and smiled at him in relief. "I was happy to do that! By the way, my name is Som Gohan and this is Videl, my fiancée." Videl blushed a bit and gave Gohan a less friendly look. But she immediately remembered and smiled encouragingly at Diana. "My name is Diana, nice to meet you!"

A casual conversation began again in which Diana said that she had been studying biology for 4 years and grew up in a small village far south of Satan City. They were only briefly interrupted a few times when the rest of the guests wanted to pay. At around 2:45 the bar was empty except for her, Videl and Son Gohan and they said goodbye to each other. "Honor me again!" Diana called before locking the door from the inside. Then she started cleaning the shop and 20 minutes later, exhausted, she left the place and made her way home.

The streets were deserted, as always when she walked home from the late shift. But this time it shouldn't be like it always was. Suddenly she felt a knife on her throat and a rough hand covering her mouth.

"If you do what I tell you," the man to whom this deep voice belonged paused meaningfully, "then nothing will happen to you!" Diana broke free from the shock caused by the numbness and nodded barely noticeably. “First of all, I want you to give me your valuables!” She took her wallet, which only contained today's tip, out of her pocket and held it up.He took it and removed his hand from her mouth in return. “Aren't you wearing jewelry?” She took off her ring and gave it to him. It was made of silver and she had got it from a friend before leaving her village. 'What a shame, forgive me Hikari! I hope he doesn't discover the chain, then everything would be over ...! 'But it was already too late. The guy pushed her hair forward over her shoulder and she could feel his irregular breath on the back of her neck, and how it was suddenly drawn in sharply. 'Oh no!!! '"And what is this here?" he asked angrily, pulling the wide solid silver chain out of her shirt. It widened towards the front and had a flat green stone in the middle that was worked into the silver. "Take it off or something will happen!" he growled dangerously low. "A .. but that doesn't work, it has no lock!" she replied scared. "Are you kidding me? I wouldn't advise that! Then I'll do it myself! "And with that he began to search the chain for a clasp. But he couldn't find one. Out of panic and anger he began to pull like wild animals on the chain. It didn't fit over his head, it was too tight for that. as if it was getting tighter. Diana meanwhile also pulled on the chain in order not to suffocate. Suddenly the thief pulled his knife from her neck and began to work the setting of the stone. He did not even notice that the chain and the Stone started to glow. The street shook suddenly and tore open in the middle. Exactly where the thief had stood was now a huge gap and gravity let him sink in and with a silent scream and the sheer horror on his face he disappeared in the endless darkness. A second jolt shook the road and the gap closed again. When the quake had subsided, nothing more was to be seen of the gap and the thief. On the road there was only a ring a us silver and a wallet. After Diana had recovered from her horror, she picked up her things and shook her head in resignation. "Poor guy ..." she sighed. "Fortunately nobody saw that, otherwise I would have a problem now!"

How should she know that someone was watching her ...

Chapter 2:

Piccolo was still floating outside the palace. It's been 10 hours now. He had declined Gohan's invitation and decided to continue training. What should he do there too. He was a loner and had absolutely no desire to gossip about the past with the others. He knew his past well enough, as did his the others. So why should you waste your time with such nonsense? He was very much like Vegeta for that matter. He also refused to go with me. Gohan had told him that, probably to make the whole thing more palatable, but it hadn't done any good. He preferred to meditate. He was sitting cross-legged in the air, his eyes closed as always, when suddenly something completely threw him out of his concentration. He opened his eyes wide and in the next moment he was already on the edge of the platform and stared into the depths. 'Where did that damn energy come from ?! 'Yeah, that's where it came from and it was still there. He had never felt such strong magical energy. It was just gigantic. He saw the ground tear open in this street and a man disappear into it. And he also saw Diana, her hand around her necklace, watching the whole thing and finally, as if nothing had happened, ran home. "Fascinating!" he said aloud and did not even notice how Dende approached from behind and stood next to him. "Piccolo, what was that ???" - "I don't know, but I'll find out!" with these words he ran into the palace and left behind a completely stunned young god.
