Chapter 12: Results

Dune was just gone head over heels. She had run as fast as she could, even though she knew he wouldn't follow her. Injured, yes, she was deeply hurt. He had insulted her so often, but she had always known he didn't mean it that way. But this time it was different. She had seen in his eyes the hatred she had felt the first time they met. This deep hatred was for her, she was sure of it.

Over the past week she had started to like this curmudgeonly stubborn head. She thought it was especially cute when he was angry. But this time he was anything but cute ...

After approx. 30 min.She finally arrived at the train station with a continuous sprint. She bought a ticket and drove home. Only home now, those were her thoughts. , then everything would be the same as before. She would forget everything and be the simple girl Diana again. Nobody who expected anything from her, nobody who forced her to do something and nobody who hurt her like that.

When she arrived at her apartment, she threw herself on the bed and began to cry bitterly. She felt so useless, so inferior. Again and again Piccolo's words were buzzing around in her head and each time they were just as hurtful as before.

'Just why? Do you hate me so much I dismissed the hatred in you, but I thought ... why only? '

Even a hot bath didn't help.

In the middle of the night she finally fell asleep.

The next morning she got up early. The first thing she thought was the last thing she'd thought about before going to sleep, Piccolo.

She had made a strong coffee and sat down on the balcony with it. The sun was shining down on her and she felt something like warmth. Outwardly only. It was freezing inside her. There were no more feelings. She had decided to put everything aside. Anger was the best way out of grief, or so she thought. When she looked up at the sky it occurred to her that the others must have been very surprised that she had just run away. So she called Bulma and apologized for her abrupt disappearance.

"Certainly Piccolo didn't scold us for no reason, but what he said was pretty ... well, blatantly it hits best. But tell me, how did you get home? That was surely a very long walk ... "

Dune told her about her train trip.

"Oh dear! You know what? I'll bring you a glider. We've had enough of it anyway. Do you have time today at 2 pm? I'll come over to you!"

Dune had declined and thanked him, but Bulma did not tolerate any contradiction.

By 2 p.m. Dune had buried himself in her books and even managed to get Piccolo out of her head for a few minutes. Bulma brought her the glider and quickly explained the operation until her cell phone beeped and Vegeta could be heard shouting that the GR was broken.

He had of course noticed that Dune was losing her strength and had initially toyed with the idea of revenge. But in the end he had developed a sense of honor and thought it was punishment enough that she had lost her strength. He would have been devastated if for some reason he couldn't fight anymore. Fortunately, he didn't know Dune very well, otherwise he would have known that of all things she didn't care. He had found Piccolo's "outbreak" extremely amusing. He didn't think it was great that he couldn't take revenge on her personally, but with his comment he finally crushed the second fly, Piccolo. However, if he should meet Dune again one day, he would still "lend a hand" to her, whether verbally or directly.

For the next few days Dune went back to her lectures and buried herself in her books. She hardly slept anymore because when she did she dreamed of Piccolo's hateful look. It didn’t help to suppress everything. In her dreams he was back after all. She had completely lost her appetite. She only ate something so as not to completely lose control of her body. She forced herself to eat something, after all, she needed the energy for her exams.

At the end of the week she had passed all the exams and the semester break was approaching. On Friday evening she called Videl to keep her promise. This had eagerly agreed and immediately informed Gohan.

The evening had been quite nice. The trio had avoided the piccolo and barbecue and after a few drinks Dune felt really good. She was brought home by the two of them around 4 and slept through the first night, not least because of the alcohol.

In spite of Dune's increased desire for the intoxicating drinks, Videl had had the impression that none of this bothered her so much. However, Gohan had seen how sad she was, even if she kept smiling. But he didn't tell Videl about it. He didn't want to interfere either. It was a matter between Dune and Piccolo and he had no need to stand between the fronts. He liked them both, after all.

Piccolo had stared in disbelief for a few more seconds in the direction Dune had disappeared into. Then he got up and flew towards the desert to let his anger run free. He was angry with her because she had given up, because she had sealed her powers forever because of him, because she had banished him from her life. But most of all he was angry with himself for making her do it, for not being able to stop her, and most of all because he was sorry she wasn't there anymore.

He'd enjoyed their arguments, and even been proud of them for making so much progress.

He just wanted to teach her a lesson ... 'Why did she have to run away? It is just weak. Damn it, why do I keep thinking about it? '

Dende was starting to worry about Piccolo. He was no longer angry with him, after all, there was no telling that Dune would react that way, or that she was so hurt by it. 'She really liked him. This is the only way I can explain everything to myself. Almost everything at least. I still don't understand Piccolo's reaction. It only suggests that he ... no, that can't be. Or is it? '

He had erased his aura since he disappeared and that was a week ago. Of course it would take time.'He's probably floating in the desert and meditating ... and bucking!'

"Piccolo will come when problems are cleared up.", Popo smiled knowingly at the little one. He immediately felt much more relieved and went back to the palace.

-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------

Piccolo was actually floating in the desert. For 2 days without a break. He tried to meditate, but his concentration was always short-lived. Again and again he thought of her eyes when she had put the seal back on. So sad. So hurt. And so determined.

Even if he didn't admit it, he was sorry for his words now. He'd clearly gone too far and ... yes, he'd screwed everything up.

Again he saw her sad face in front of him but then all of a sudden his eyes opened wide. He could feel something. An aura. It was very far away, but so strong that he could already feel it."What the hell ...?" he raised his head and stared at the sky. 'So strong ...! And so dark ... just the opposite of ... by Dune! 'Shocked, he wiped the newly formed beads of sweat from his forehead. 'The prophecy is true! I screwed everything up, we are lost! ' he stated with wide eyes.

'I can't fight this magical power! I have to find her and try again. '

He had already set off with this thought.

Chapter 13:

Dune didn't get up until noon. She had sat down on the balcony again with her coffee and thought. 'I should take advantage of the nice weather. I have a lot of time. Bathing would be nice. But today all beaches are certainly full. I'm not in the mood for it. I've had enough of guys for now ... '

After her breakfast she had put on her bikini and only put on a short dark blue summer dress. Then she packed everything she needed in a bag and got into the glider that Bulma had "donated" to her. She was really happy about it, even if it was all more than uncomfortable. But it was nice to know that someone cared about her and that not everyone cared about her as much as Piccolo.

Now she flew over the forest in which she was always jogging and lo and behold, she had already discovered a huge clearing in the middle, in which there was a large lake.

'How beautiful it is here, and so lonely ... that's what I need now. Sun on my skin is my favorite music in my ear and calm. '

With a deep sigh, she dropped onto her blanket and took off her dress. She had already put on the cream at home.

'It's a shame I didn't discover this place earlier. 'She stretched out and put the plugs of her discman in her ears. The music was turned down very low and after 10 minutes she was nodded off.

-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- -

Piccolo had located her aura by now. He had flown over Satan City for half an hour and could not find it. Finally it occurred to him to look for her in the forest. He wasn't sure why he was thinking that. What should she want there too?

He had been quite surprised to find her there. Did she love solitude like him?

He landed silently on a branch in the surrounding trees. He was about 10 m away from her and could see her well. She wouldn't see him, however. The thick foliage protected him. And with the loss of her strength, her senses were dulled again.

He just sat there and watched her.

She was so
