Fanfic: Maiju- Hauptmänner und Kommandos [K.6] (nachbearbeitet)
increased the training effect. Not just for the hunted; the hunters also had to watch out for their surroundings to avoid collisions. And the best part was: it was fun! It spoke exactly to Maiju's young hunting instinct, and so she threw herself into the fray with joy. Of course, collisions were inevitable, but when she later compared with Ti'aLan, it turned out that he had bumped into someone thirteen times and had been involved in a pile-up, while she had only five accidents to report.
Maiju caught someone pretty soon, exactly the guy she'd won against in the morning. He looked as if he would have loved to have her rubbed, but refrained from doing that and instead, wordlessly, gave her the signal red strip of fabric that she tied around her wrist, identifying herself as the hunted. And before anyone could think of taking her off guard, she was gone. The hunters rushed after her.
She soon realized that she was fast, but definitely not the fastest.Although she was flying at tremendous speed, a few of the pursuers caught up more and more, then parted to form a semicircle behind her.
Aha! she thought, teamwork! In about a quarter of a minute it would be circled. She couldn't let that happen! Once encircled, it would have been damn hard to escape them again. In mid-flight, she suddenly changed direction, from straight ahead to steeply downhill, plunged into the dense canopy of leaves of the forest and now darted through the trees. Here she had to be more careful, but at the same time had a better chance of avoiding the hunters.
Behind her, she heard a loud rustling that told her The Hunters had followed her, then a scream and a loud crack and splinter. Maiju risked a quick look back and just saw a tree fall and bury smaller trees and undergrowth.
Trees don't give way! she thought gleefully.
The rest of the pursuers remained stubbornly on her heels, however. Not only that, they were well on their way to catching up with her again!
Holy shit! she cursed in her mind and suddenly hit a hook that made her pursuers zoom a good hundred yards past her.
Less than a minute later they were just behind her again.
What a nuisance! She hooked it again, now flew again in the direction from which they had originally come, did not care, darted around a tree like an inline skater around the famous street lamp and began a confused zigzag course. Gradually she made up ground again. The hunters fell behind.
Too late she realized where she was flying - exactly towards the cloud of slow hunters! No more time to hook or dive; Maiju fled forwards, accelerated, turned around one soldier, dived under the next, escaped the grip of the next by a hair's breadth, got another one out of the way with a ball of energy and rolled into the hunter with full force who had cut the tree earlier. He got hold of her and held her tight, although she fought fiercely. She didn't like the way he had his arms around her waist at all. The senior doctor had warned her against such a grip.
"Now stop fidgeting!" she heard her catcher say softly "You're trapped anyway!"
"I know that!" Maiju replied fiercely, "I'm not going to fly away! Still you should let go of me!"
He lowered his voice to a whisper, "Why? You're cute, little one!" And howled as her head smashed his nose.
"Therefore!" Maiju hissed and writhed out of his now loosened grip "Don't think I don't know what you were thinking about!"
He looked at her plaintively, but could not reply as the others were now within earshot. Without looking at him, she peeled the tape from her wrist and handed it to him. Nor did she look when he put it on and flew away, made no move to join the hunt.
"What was that?" she was asked by Ti'aLan, who had stayed with her.
"You can guess three times!"
Ti'aLan's pale blue skin turned even paler. "The villain wanted to turn you on ?!"
"You could call it that!"
He cursed, "That doesn't really exist! A child like you! I mean ... sorry!"
"The only girl!"
"Yeah ....... what a scoundrel! If I get that, then ..."
“Then what?” Maiju looked at him sharply. No Answer.
"Hey, Ti'aLan, don't do any nonsense! He'll pick you into pieces, you can't look that fast! Please leave the settlement of such questions to me. You have to train pretty hard before you can discuss this with him! "
"You're right. Come on now, otherwise we'll miss the hunt!"
"I would love to fly back, I don't feel like it anymore!"
"Explain that to Waat! Now come on!"
Reluctantly, Maiju rejoined the hunt. The idiot had thoroughly spoiled her mood!
He paid for it later, however, when Maiju "accidentally" crawled into him and broke a few ribs.
That evening Maiju was tired, but not nearly as exhausted as after the morning strength training session. And in a mood that would have been just right for her to have run into her three favorite enemies. But she didn't see any of the Saiyajins and was content with punching the oh-so-pretty face of a showy handsome guy.
As Maiju found out the next day, the all-day units inside were not that bad: strength in the morning, speed and endurance in the afternoon. And Waat was a trainer who always came up with something new so as not to give his soldiers a reason to mutiny.
The following year Maiju learned more, and became stronger and faster than ever at Trail - even if she didn't like that fact because of the trainer.During regular training, Ti'aLan never left her side, who gradually began to catch up and quickly got better and better.
On Saturday and Sunday afternoons she met with Jeice regularly in the forest - very carefully and very far away so that no one saw them together (not even Ti'aLan knew about it) - where they chatted, played or fought together.
Through the joint training, their fighting strength adjusted to each other.
More than once, despite all caution, they almost got caught, but they always just managed to avoid the danger. Which of course made the whole thing even more appealing.
Maiju acquired a double image: on the one hand cool, dismissive, aggressive, on the other hand happy, lively and always in the mood for nonsense. However, she only showed the latter page to her two friends. The others - and that concerned everyone under Freezer's command - they only got to know from their dangerous side.
The lower soldiers got a lot of respect for her. Considerable given the fact that she was still a child.
She was now six years old.
In the year leading up to her seventh birthday, which the doctors determined rather arbitrarily, not much happened. Apart from the fact that her fighting strength increased so rapidly that Waat almost got scary, and she lost Ti'aLan because she was placed under a stronger captain after she had defeated Waat in battle.
It didn't take long before she was assigned to a group with which she was to go on patrol from now on.
The four members of the command under Captain Turnus were all stronger than she was, and not exactly thrilled "to be allowed to take care of the girl as well".
Turnus informed her that from now on she no longer had to take part in the regular training, but should keep the training hours with her command. In addition, she should always be ready to fly into space if, for example, a sudden mission order came.
She finally got a tank like the one the trained elite warriors wore: black edition with shoulder wings and hip protectors, plus black wrist guards, specially made for her four fingers. As a sign of belonging
At his command, Turnus tied a blood-red ribbon around her right upper arm.
Many commanders had some special mark for the members of their command, although this was not originally intended.
Last but not least, Maiju finally got a scouter with a pale yellow disc. The captain explained the various functions to her, such as combat force meter and radio, distance meter and terrain overview.
After that, she had to fight him so that he could see for himself what her skills were. It turned out to be a short and somewhat embarrassing fight for Maiju, which she lost very seriously.
Ignoring the mocking comments of the rest of the command, she listened to Turnus' brief advice and, when he released her afterwards, immediately disappeared into the forest, where she hoped to meet Jeice.
In fact, he was there. Maiju told him that she was subordinate to Turnus - and learned from him that he had also been assigned to a command. Not that she hadn't guessed it already - his new white main battle tank told her enough. She thought he looked absolutely dashing in it.
They stayed outside until dark, then said goodbye after renewing their vow to remain friends forever.
