and performed dances of joy.

Maiju closed her eyes, apparently devoted to her fate. Your opponent's hand went down.

She opened her eyes, her tail wrapped around his legs, she jumped up and suddenly he was hanging upside down in the air, Maiju kicked and let go at the same time and the bird creature slammed against the wall, where it left an imprint.

With an effort it tried to get up again, but couldn't and stayed where it was.

"You're not going to want to tell me that's it?" sneered Maiju, strolling towards him. There was a startled silence around them. She crouched in front of the one lying on the floor and forced his beak up with her forefinger. "Well tell me! Was I too strong for you after all? You know what, I'll give you a second chance. Show me the other caves in the area and I'll let you live and maybe your clan as well.If you refuse, you'll be dead for a hundred percent. How's it going? "

The Chiritaki looked at her with a contorted face, it took a while before he could get something out: "Never ... never! I b..i..n..n no traitor ... traitor! I com. . Keep pinging-against-you! I will ... defend my clan ... to the end! "

His strength seemed to be returning visibly as his voice became firmer and he even managed to get up. Blood ran from his beak. Maiju also stood up "Why are you all so damn stubborn! You can't win, see it!"

"Then at least I tried!"

Maiju looked at him blankly. Why did he want to fight so badly when he knew very well that he had no chance?

And why didn't the others just disappear? They would have had enough time to run away earlier, but they were all still there. Maybe they were just plain stupid. Or...?

Maiju didn't have a name for what she felt here, a kind of cohesion that Freezer's troops didn't even have between friends.

Does not matter! If they absolutely want to die all together, then let them!

Maiju straightened up and took a position ready to fight. Your opponent did the same. This time he didn't try to lull her but went straight to the attack, missed when she turned millimeters to the side, pounding the air.

Maiju handed it.

Shifting her weight on one paw, she kicked the other and smashed the Chiritaki's chest.

A piercing cry from his clan as he fell to the ground with a soft "ploff".

But they didn't attack. They stayed where they were. Small, rigid beings that huddled against the ground and desperately hoped to be overlooked.

"Cowards!" Maiju shouted "Trouser shit, everyone!" She pushed herself off, raced through the thick layer of earth to the surface and in a very short time transformed the surrounding area into a lunar landscape.

When she finally paused, panting, her scouter beeped. A series of numbers and the sign for another scouter appeared on the disk. One of their command. And he moved towards her. Maiju wondered if she should fly away. No better not. Whoever was coming would find her anyway and then possibly think she had something to hide. So wait.

It didn't take long before he came into view and now she recognized him. It was Loé. It flew towards her and stopped so close that she flinched.

"What is that, Maiju, afraid of me?" he mocked.

"I only had doubts whether you would slow it down!"

He didn't respond. “Tell me, is that your work?” Loé pointed to the crater below them.

"Yes. You wouldn't have trusted me, huh?"

"No, of course not, weakling!"

Maiju hissed "I have definitely smoked more caves than you, you great warrior! How many have you destroyed?"

He didn't answer and looked past her as if he had just discovered something terribly interesting behind her.

"No what?" she grinned cheekily "Come on, admit it!" Immediately afterwards she had to duck her head, his blow went over her.

“Ätsch, beside it!” His knee shot up, but she fought it off, avoided a badly aimed hook and kicked his chest with both legs, which at the same time brought herself out of reach.

"Meeting is an art, isn't it?"

"Don't imagine anything! I held back!"

"Oh, how noble of you!"

Loé shook his head "No, Freezer just wouldn't be very excited if you died!"

"How is that? I always thought he didn't care about the life of his soldiers as much as anything could be!"

"Usually it is. Only with you it is probably different."

Maiju guessed why. But she didn't let it show through. Something told her it was better not to know that the secret was no longer a secret. So she shrugged and pretended to be clueless.

Loé scowled at her. Did he smell something?

But their concern was unfounded; he said, "So, you prodigy, don't you want to show me how to find those fucking caves? We're a team, after all!"

She would have loved to say: "No, I don't want to!" and would have hissed off, but she preferred to stay that way.

"All right, come with me!"

They flew a bit, then Maiju went down and Loé followed her. Not without asking: "What are we landing for?"

"It's impossible to find the cave entrances from the air. And locating the inhabitants doesn't work either, unless someone happens to be outside. And now be quiet, the Chiritaki are shy for two!"

"Chiritaki?"

"That's what they call themselves."

Maiju had to look for a long time. Just as Loé was starting to get impatient, she found the first traces and showed them to him: young trees planted at certain intervals, which probably served as area markers. She also made him aware of the typical smell.

Behind the marking line ran a close-knit network of paths so cleverly laid out that they were hardly to be found, and even if you found them, they never led you to the hiding place but always ran past the entrances. The smell was of no use in the station either, because it was everywhere here.

Maiju took the first possible way and crept along it, carefully examining the surroundings so that she didn't miss anything.

Loé strolled after her and she had to pull up at him several times until he deigned to go quietly.

She followed the paths she assumed led to the interior of the district. It was as quiet as it was not even at night on Freezer's planet, every slight rustling made Maiju immediately freeze to motionlessness until she realized that it was unimportant.

Then, finally, she heard something that immediately puzzled her: footsteps. Fast steps of two-legged beings. When she listened more carefully, she noticed a faint rustling and chirping laughter.

She took one or two cautious steps back, pulled Loé's head down by his ear and whispered to him: "Now be as quiet as possible! There are some in front!"

He looked at her. As if it weren't quite tight: "How do you want to know?"

"I hear it! And if you were to pay attention a little, you would notice it too!"

Loé listened. Meanwhile, Maiju crept in the direction from which the noises came, slipped into the bushes and moved cautiously, almost on all fours.

The laughter grew louder. Now through the foliage she could see several white-feathered figures playing catch in a clearing. Chiritaki children.

Maiju smiled maliciously. That was easy! She just had to scare the children, then they would be guaranteed to run to her cave and she would just follow them.Unnoticed, of course, otherwise they would lead her everywhere except where she was hiding.

However, their plan was suddenly thwarted by the arrival of an unexpected guest.

Maiju was just getting ready to jump when a sudden gust of wind swept across the clearing, which made Chiritaki freeze at the movement and look up with wide open eyes. Maiju also looked up, saw a swirling pile of feathers coming towards her, when suddenly a hard wing thrashed at her and threw her to the ground. Her scouter beeped, indicating impossible combat strength. Now Maiju opened her eyes for her part. She made sure to get out of reach of the wings.

From behind a tree she took a closer look at the intruder. The creature gave the impression that Freezer had powdered it with a vulture and was so big that Maiju wondered how she could have overlooked it. And then this fighting power ... the scouter should have registered it!

But he didn't! Maybe he had a bad contact.

However, she did not have any further considerations, because at that moment Loé appeared at the other end of the clearing. He stopped in amazement when he saw the monster in its full size, but then rose into the air and - Maiju couldn't believe her eyes - launched an attack. He actually attacked the giant cattle! Didn't he see what his scouter was reading? He must have turned it off, that was the only explanation. Crazy enough to attack a beast with such fighting power wasn't even he!

Maiju watched from the relative safety of the tree as Loé landed a first blow, spun the monster around and hit him with his beak full of beak. It hit a crater on impact.

Should she help him? Alone he was lost. With their help, too, probably. But with that of the whole command?

Maiju set the scouter on Turnus' frequency, hoped that she would get him and radioed.

"T1 here, what's up?" came the captain's voice over the loudspeaker.

"This is T6." Maiju replied, "Captain, we need your help! We came across an unexpectedly strong animal. Loé is currently fighting with him, but" she looked again at the row of numbers that the scouter was still showing, "the fighting strength of this animal is 99000! "

"Shit too!" she heard Turnus mutter. Then he asked: "T6, where are you?"

"I don't know exactly. Follow my signal!"

There was no answer. Hopefully they came in time! The bird
