Chapter 5/1 - Victory!
Slowly one Z-fighter after the other stirred and got up exhausted.
"Man, that was an explosion," gasped Kuririn and rubbed his humming skull, while Tenchinhan and Yamcha helped the two children, who were sitting there with shaky legs and staring into space completely exhausted.
The strength that the two boys had put into their kamikaze ghost and killer squiggle attacks had been so enormous that the fusion phase lasted only a few moments until both fell exhausted to the ground and remained there. "Well? Are you okay?" Asked one of the warriors and carefully fixed his three eyes on the little ones, who managed nothing more than a pained smile.
"This explosion was gigantic," whispered Mirai Trunks and held out his hand to his father, who took it reluctantly and pulled himself up. "That was essentially more than we generated," Vegeta growled and looked up at the sky.
"But it seems to have worked," replied the Namecian and listened into the ether to find a trace of Cell's aura. After a moment, Piccolo smiled weakly and his body relaxed in relief. "It's over!"
"We won", Gohan uttered in astonishment and then screamed, confident of victory, "We are finally rid of Cell!"
Relieved sighs rang out from everyone and the friends caught up with each other and shook hands.
"We did it", Goten shouted and clapped little Trunks vigorously on the shoulder, but Trunks only stared at the sky and finally whispered sadly, "but the dragon is dead now too!"
Son-Goku's younger son followed the other child's gaze and there was also a trace of regret on his face. "You're right! He's gone too!"
"Shit like that," Chibi-Trunks swore, chewing his lower lip, a clear sign from the boy that he was very angry."He would have been such a great pet!"
"Do you really think that you would have tamed the dragon", Goten murmured suspiciously and called the huge creature back to memory. "I don't think a dragon like that listens to anyone!"
"This dragon listens to someone", Piccolo suddenly interfered in the conversation between the children and slapped both of them on the shoulders like a father. "But certainly not on you, or on one of us!"
"Hääää ???" Goten and Chibi-Trunks exchanged questioning glances and then stared at the Namecian expectantly. He grinned tightly and turned back to leave.
"And besides, the dragon is not dead!"
The children and the others looked in amazement after the green man, who was slowly moving away from the group.
"Why is that?" Muttered Kuririn and looked around. "Where did he go if he's not dead?"
"Where he came from" was the short and unsatisfactory answer for everyone.
"It's over," whispered Bulma and ran her hair through her blue hair in relief.
"You did it", Chi-Chi agreed in a thin voice and with a cry of joy the two mothers fell into each other's arms. Oolong and pool also joined the joyous rapture, while the young Videl stood a little to one side and looked overjoyed at the fights that had risen in the air and were now floating towards them. You did it again, Gohan, she thought to herself and smiled contentedly. You are simply unbeatable, my hero!
Lino sat there, his metal body trembling. He had watched everything from the plateau. How the huge silver dragon appeared and how it had disappeared again in this unimaginable explosion. But that can't be possible, the thoughts went through his artificial brain. How can that be? But that would mean that ...! The robot got up and waddled with its short legs to the edge of the plateau in order to look down over it.
Below them was a huge pile of rubble. The fine eyepieces zoomed in and suddenly he could see something. He screamed tinny and caught the attention of the men, who had now landed on the women and the two metamorphs. "DAAAAARKEN!"
Gohan and Mirai Trunks looked at the little robot, who suddenly just jumped and hopped over the cliff. Before any of the others could react, the two Saiyajin teenagers had also thrown themselves into the abyss.
A few meters before the robot could crash on the ground, it was caught by the son Goku.
The two boys landed on the bottom and looked in amazement at the little machine that wriggled in Gohan's hands and made only unintelligible noises.
The latter finally bent down and put Lino down with a frown. "What went into that?"
Mirai Trunks shrugged his shoulders and both looked in amazement after the robot, who ran screaming towards the pile of rubble and tried to climb it.
But then it went like lightning through the mind of Vegeta's son. "The girl!"
The Saiyajin quickly grabbed the other's wrist and pulled him behind him.
"Darken", Lino exclaimed tormented, while he cleared away small chunks that were lying on the lifeless body of his girlfriend. "Hold on! I'll help you!" But when his strength failed while trying to push a chunk of it that was the same size as him, he suddenly felt the stone, including himself, being lifted up. The eyepieces aligned in astonishment and spied the face of the young man who had saved him and the child from an attack by this nasty guy less than half an hour ago. The teenager nodded curtly, put the stone and the robot aside and whispered, "We'll help you!"
"It's no use," mumbled Gohan and tossed stone by stone aside, while he and his friend slowly exposed the girl's body."She's dead! Cell attacked her with a devil's spiral!"
Trunks stared at the debris in front of him, then replied monotonously, "She saved Trunks and Goten! Don't we owe it to her that she is at least dignifiedly buried?"
Gohan paused in his work and thought for a moment. "You're right!"
"Darken", Lino wailed and stepped from one foot to the other until the two teenagers stopped in their work in surprise. As fast as his little legs could carry him, the little robot scurried past the other two and to the side of his friend, whose battered body was almost completely exposed. The eyepieces zoomed in on the girl and stopped in the middle of her chest where the devastating beam had hit her. The red sweater she was wearing was tattered and burned and revealed a very insightful look at Darken's not yet fully developed bust, where a large, heavily bleeding wound gaped. But to the amazement of the three people present one could see a slight tremor of the chest.
Trunks opened his eyes in horror and immediately leaned down to the girl. "She's still alive!"
Gohan did the same and carefully he helped his friend to heave the limp body in front of them into the arms of the other. “The only question is how much longer!” And his gaze fixed on the gaping wound. "If she can take it by then, Dende can help her!"
The two teenagers nodded to each other and knew what to do next. Trunks rose into the air and headed as fast as he could to the palace of God, where Dende, the newly chosen earth god, had already started his service a few days ago. Gohan, on the other hand, turned to his friends and family, who eventually made their way to God's palace.
"I'm curious what you will do now," Dayron cooed and snuggled up to his brother when they saw the fighters withdraw from the now decommissioned battlefield.A cold wind blew over the now deserted wasteland and tore at the thick black hair of the two young people.
Vejita's eyebrow rose and he stared into space. “I think they won't do anything different than what happened back then.” And his arms wrapped protectively around his sister's shoulders.
"I would love to watch her," Dayron whispered softly and an inconspicuous smile stole onto her face, which however immediately disappeared when the young man eyed her. The woman took a deep breath and ran a hand through her long black hair, embarrassed. "We have to know where their real strengths and weaknesses are if we have to wipe them out!"
The young man snorted disparagingly and rolled his eyes with an arrogant expression. "Pah! What strengths? We know them well enough. And besides ..." Vejita paused for a moment and his steel blue eyes seemed to pierce the woman."As if they even had a chance against us."
"We shouldn't underestimate her," the young woman suddenly countered icily and pulled herself out of the man's arm. "We have never been able to find out which increases really hid their potential!"
"I'll only worry about that when the argument comes up," the brother growled back just as hard. “Before that, that would be wasted ideas!” And after a brief moment of silence he finally added, “Besides, we have to go back! Our time is almost up.”
Dayron nodded curtly and suddenly the young people's bodies shone in a blue and white glow as they simply disappeared without leaving a trace.
