Fanfic: Vergessene Erinnerung, Teil 2
was lucky because the news was on again, so he sat down with them. Excitedly, he told Jack about the things he'd learned about Namek and this planet last night, but Jack, as always, only listened with half an ear.
After a while, Sam came back too. She had been doing research alone in the lab since that afternoon when Bulma had lost interest.
"Colonel, I'm afraid it will be weeks before the gate is functional again." Sam looked to the side, depressed.
Bulma had now joined them too. "You can stay here as long as you like. I had some things brought to your room. You can't walk around in these clothes all the time." Jack nodded his thanks and then turned to his major.
"Carter, you're taking a break tomorrow. One day more or less doesn't matter."
Sam wanted to protest, but Jack got ahead of her: "Do I have to make an order of this, Major?"
“No sir!” Sam looked at the floor.
The next morning
Jack was up early as usual. That morning he met Bra in the kitchen, otherwise there was no one to be seen.
"Morning, Bra!" he greeted her in a good mood. She grinned back. "Tell me, where is your father all day?"
Bra continued to grin happily. "He's in the GR to train."
Sam had just come down the stairs and overheard the last words. She wore jeans and a white shirt, just like Jack.
"In the GR? What's that?"
"That is called gravitational space. Dad always trains there with increased gravity."
"You can create an artificial gravity? How?"
"Oh Carter, please! You should take some time off today!" Jack looked at her annoyed.
Bra answered her anyway: "I don't know. You have to ask my mom!"
"And where is this GR?", Jack wanted to know now.
"Well in the spaceship. Outside in the garden."
Jack and Sam exchanged a quick look, then satanded up at the same time and made their way outside.
Daniel had skipped his breakfast today. Yesterday he hadn't achieved his desired goal, so he had to make up for it today.By noon he finally had the first table ready. It didn't say very much, just what he'd already suspected. They had been brought here by the Goa'uld. However, they did not write of any. Their arrival was 3000 years ago. There was probably a similar uprising here as on Earth. But to find out, he first had to finish translating the tables.
Teal`c had finally ended his forays through the CC and the city in which it was located. There was nothing out of the ordinary here, so he decided to help Daniel translate the tablets.
Sam and Jack had arrived in the garden. But they did not get the expected impression. What they found was a round shape that at first glance didn't exactly look like a spaceship. Knowing that Vegeta was training there and that he wasn't exactly a pleasant person to talk to, they made it a little round to take a look at it.As long as there was increased gravity in there, they couldn't enter the spaceship anyway.
They were about to leave when Goku and Goten landed in front of them. Sam looked up in surprise. She turned suspiciously pale again.
"You can fly?" She gasped out breathlessly.
"Sure. Shall I teach you?" Goten looked challengingly at Sam. She looked shocked at the Colonel, then at Goku and back at Goten. In the end, however, her curiosity was greater than her fear. She looked questioningly at Jack, who then nodded in agreement.
"I've always wanted to take real flying lessons."
"Fine, son. I'm going to train with Vegeta." Goku walked towards the spaceship beaming with joy.
Towards evening everyone met in the kitchen for dinner together. The table was full to bursting, but Vegeta and Trunks alone would eat half of it. And then Goku and Goten stayed there too ...
After dinner, Daniel shared his latest discoveries. With Teal'c's help, he was able to translate three of the twenty tables. So far, however, he had not made significant progress with the content. The texts still described the enslavement of this people. Jack and Sam kept their little secret from flying lessons. They had not made any particular progress either. Goten had tried to explain to them how to find their aura. However, it had taken Sam twice as long as Videl and Jack had only made it with Sam's help. After a few hours, they had given up trying to levitate. They were just too exhausted. For the next day they had canceled the flight lessons ...
Sam had planned to continue working on the gate anyway, and Goku had made a great suggestion to Jack: he wanted to go fishing.
Sam spent the next day in the laboratory again. Daniel and Teal'c continued to work on the translation while Jack went fishing with Goku.
First they teleported back to Goku's house and then flew a little bit over the mountains. They landed at a waterfall that ended in a small lake. They unpacked their fishing gear and talked about their different worlds.
After only half an hour, a fish took a bite from Jack. When he pulled it out, it was his greatest fishing success - if you ignore the fact that he always fished in a lake where there were no fish. Jack proudly held up his fish, but Goku only shook his head briefly.
"What is it?"
"But you weren't particularly lucky. It's still too small."
Jack looked at him confused.
"What do you mean: 'It's still too small'? Hey, I would have set a record with us! It weighs at least 15 kilos!"
"Then you should see our fish!"
With that, Goku got up, took off his combat suit and jumped into the water. After a few seconds he reappeared fighting a monstrous fish.
Jack's jaw dropped. It almost looked like Goku was wrestling with the great white shark himself.
But the fight didn't last long. After a short time Goku flew back with the fish and put it on the bank. Then he formed his hands into a ball in which a blue glow began. Still stunned, he watched the energy ball grow and Goku finally fired it at the fish.
"Do you want to have lunch?" He asks after turning to Jack.
“How did you do that?” Jack stared at the fish. Nothing should surprise him anymore with these people.
Goku looked at him. "Have you already found your fluid?" Jack nodded. "Then I can teach you if you want." Jack nodded again.
"But not until tomorrow. Today I still have to recover from this horror."
Daniel had meanwhile translated the fifth tablet. Exhausted, he leaned back. So far he still hadn't found any precise information that might help them repair the gate.He just hoped Sam was doing better than him.
Bulma looked at Sam doubtfully. They hadn't found anything in the past three days. Why should they find something today? Annoyed, she asked Sam, but she didn't know the answer either. "Then we can put our feet up and wait for Daniel to finish translating the text."
Sam had no objection to this, so they left the laboratory and went into the kitchen to have a little more conversation.
