Chapter: Fog nights part 1

Hello you. I have decided to finally put my FF "foggy nights" in! Some may remember that a very long time ago I said that I was going to write a story with that name. And now the time has come!

Something else about the story: It's a dark FF, but just read it for yourself!

Foggy nights

Part 1 prehistory

I stepped out onto the tiny terrace of the little wooden house. With every step there was a faint creak under my feet. A light wind came up and blew a fine scent of pine needles over it. I took a deep breath. The narrow crescent moon above the night-black conifers shone in a dull gray. A few damp patches of mist between the tall trees clouded the view.

My right hand carefully felt for the railing of the terrace. You could hardly see anything ... despite the moonlight. I didn't know this place and yet it was so strangely familiar to me!

A cool breeze blew over my arms. Shivering, I shrugged my shoulders and turned to the door of the wooden house. But it was locked! Confused, I let go of the grip and took a small step backwards. Another cool breeze brushed my skin. At the same moment the fine wisps of mist seemed to thicken. An opaque, cloudy mass. So close that I could barely see the house in front of me. I felt uncomfortable. Irritated, I took another step back and felt behind my back with one hand. The railing had to be there somewhere. I needed a stop! Something to hold on to in order to push back the emerging uncertainty. Searching my fingers ran through the damp air. I felt tiny droplets of water collecting on my skin. Where was this railing ??? Real fear slowly rose in me!

There! ... my fingers touched something!Immediately I felt a little better. Protected! I quickly grabbed the railing that I had longed for. An icy shiver ran down my spine and made me shudder. What I felt there wasn't the hard wood of a terrace railing!

It was soft!

I withdrew my hand in horror and pressed it to my mouth. Slowly, as if in slow motion, I turned around ... With wide, frightened eyes I stared at the tall figure directly in front of me. The black cloak wafted around the person, with every breath of wind, with a slight rustle. A large hood covered the entire face. Only two pale hands protruded from the huge sleeves of the jet black cloak. With a horrified cry, I backed away from the dark figure, but immediately it followed me. Floating! The long cloak slid over the floor, crackling softly. Shivering, I bumped my back against the locked door of the house. The thud was the only sound on that unbearably noiseless night.A cold hand came under my chin. "The best thing is always the indescribable fear in your eyes." I heard a rough, scratchy voice say from the dark hood.

Panicked, I pushed the figure's hand back and slipped under her arm to flee into the forest.

"And THAT is the second most beautiful." said the person close behind me.

An unbelievable panic seized me and I ran as fast as I could into the mist-shrouded forest. Branches cracked under every step I took. In my ears it was the volume of an explosion. I wanted to look behind me, but I didn't dare! Was he ... still behind me ???

Next to me, more and more black contours, tall fir trees, appeared. I stopped quickly and leaned, breathing heavily, behind a wide tree trunk. My heart was pounding wildly on my chest! Shivering, I pressed my hands over the loudly beating organ and tried to take deep, regular breaths.I felt slightly dizzy when I closed my eyes for a brief moment. I listened ... silence. With a slight sigh of relief, I lifted my eyelids again. Everywhere the dark shadows of the conifers stood out in the thick fog fields. A slight rustling. From the direction of the forest I came from! The rustling stopped for a brief moment. My fingernails bored painfully into the sweaty palms and I bit my entire lower lip from tension. It wasn't until I tasted the salty, oozing blood that I noticed the small wound. And then some vital juice dripped down. I followed the tiny, bright red point with my eyes until it reached the ground and hit the floor without a sound. But at exactly the same moment the rustling got faster ... came right at me! I was unable to move. My legs no longer obeyed me and stood frozen in place. The faint rustling, it was the rustling of a cloak that slid unbelievably quickly over the floor, had almost reached me!I squeezed my eyes tight.

Then it stopped right next to the tree trunk I was hiding behind. A dry, furry feeling spread in my mouth, as if I had been eating dust. Small rivulets oozed out from between my eyelashes. I tried to fight the tears, but this terrible fear drove me to the edge of my strength. ... silence ...

"You can't escape me ... won't escape me ... never!" hissed a rough voice, from behind my left ear.

I couldn't turn around. Didn't want to see this figure! Better to fall into a deep, deep hole!

I started up in bed with a loud scream. The white silk nightgown stuck to my body, dripping with sweat. A few long strands of auburn hair hung wildly in front of my face.

Panting, I felt for my alarm clock, which rang like a bicycle bell gone mad. I turned it off with a simple push of a button, carefully got out of bed and swayed towards the bathroom.

I splashed the ice-cold crane water on my face with both hands. Then I propped myself up on the edge of the sink and blankly watched the transparent liquid that disappeared in a circular spiral motion into the black hole of the drain pipe.

"What was that nightmare ?! So ... Realistic!" I whispered softly and slowly raised my head. A pale face with dark-rimmed eyes looked at me in the mirror. My face! But ... what was that?

I touched a brown, crusty wound on my lower lip with trembling fingers. Fresh blood immediately gushed out.

With a shudder, I saw a small, bright red drop that fell on the white porcelain of the sink.

It was all just a dream! ...Or?

Shivering, I took my eyes off the drop of blood and looked back into the mirror. He was fogged up! As if you had showered too long! But there was something else! In the middle there were lines that let the shiny silver glass shine through. No, no lines ... words!

You can't escape me

will not escape me

NO WAY!!!

Well, I admit that this part had nothing to do with DBZ! But, I can reassure you ... In the next part there is a little more of that! ;)
