Fanfic: Der Kampf der Elemente 6
days of rain? And he should really have been God here once ?!"
Dende gave a short laugh and then shook his head. "No, he's not really that bad. If you know him better, he's a very nice guy. Being with God - that's more complicated, I think I'll tell you tomorrow! It would take a little longer."
But I still couldn't imagine, this curmudgeon should really have been God? Well, I couldn't care less.
"By the way - thank you very much. It is very kind of you to let us live here until everything is cleared up. June and I don't know where else we should go."
My face had become serious, probably more serious than I intended, for the smile on Dende's face disappeared for a moment as he looked at me.
"That goes without saying. We won't just let you down!" He announced before the smile returned to his face. I looked at him thankfully, and only now did I realize how lucky I was before ...
Blessing in disguise.
At that moment my friend reappeared in the doorway and grinned at us.
"There you are again," she greeted Dende and pointed invitingly to the free chair next to me. June, however, just shook her head and glanced in my direction.
My suspicions grew stronger. Something was wrong. Her usually warm smile seemed tense and forced at that moment, she really looked like she was going to burst into tears at any moment ...
But Dende didn't seem to notice, and so I began to doubt my observation. Maybe I was wrong and she was just tired.
"I would like to lie down. I don't want to appear ungrateful, but ..." she began, but Dende waved her off. "But no! Today was a long day, if you are tired I can understand that very well! Popo will take you to your room."
Relieved June nodded to God and was already taken by Popo's hand.
"I'll show you your room now. Please come with me," he said - that was the first thing I heard from him and I almost laughed when he talked to June! Thank God I could control myself because this time it was he who asked me a question.
"I overheard part of the conversation, but I don't know exactly what it is about. So there are new opponents on the way to us on earth?"
I hesitated for a moment before answering. The reason for this was that I wasn't sure what to do now. June had acted strangely, and I knew her too well not to worry. At first I wanted to ask Dende to reschedule the conversation until tomorrow, but on the other hand I didn't want him to be surprised. So for better or worse I had to wait until we were finished before I could see June ...
"Yes, they are powerful magicians and they are not to be trifled with! Exactly four in number, each magician is a master of an element. They shouldn't be messed with, but June and I got caught up in a really nasty business. After that everything went by itself. We had to flee, but Aguar, the magician of water damaged our capsules so that we lost sight of each other. Our king made common cause with these magicians, but they betrayed him. We found that out and when we were looking for evidence we got caught, "I explained and Dende's eyes darkened increasingly. He was worried, I could tell God on earth - and rightly so.
"And now they're after you? Do you think you're going to return?" He asked and I laughed bitterly. "No, they don't really expect that. But they are afraid of it, because our king is not exactly weak. He could really be a threat to them, but actually they are more concerned with the principle when hunting us: We have each other resists them and we must die for it."
Dende swallowed. The smile was almost completely wiped from his face now and he took a deep breath.
"That doesn't sound too good," he said then and I nodded, "But if they actually come - and I think I've already felt their energies, then we will have to fight them."
Startled, I shook my head and waved my hands! I would have expected from Dende in particular that he was more sensible than Vegeta and Piccolo! He ought to know that they shouldn't be underestimated!
"No, I've already told the others that too, but they don't want to listen to me! Please, it's really nice of you to want to help us, but you can't put the lives of so many people at risk! You can don't imagine how strong they are! "
"Vegeta and the others are strong too. You'll see. Maybe tomorrow, they wanted to come. Don't worry, they already know what they're doing."
I desperately tried to make him realize that they weren't allowed to fight, it was too big a risk, but Dende remained completely calm. His confidence in the capabilities of this Son Goku was really unshakable and it was maddening! Wasn't there a person here who was halfway sensible ?!
Sighing, I gave up. "I can't stop you from fighting, can I?" I asked dejectedly and Dende's silence confirmed my suspicions. "Just trust them. I know it's easy to say, but they'll make it! Son Goku is the strongest warrior in the entire universe!"
Dende's eyes lit up at these words and he looked like a little child who had just been given chocolate ...
"Dende ... that's what it's about!" I started and stood up to give more expression to my next words.
"Power alone doesn't help that much against these magicians! They are, as the name suggests, magicians, so only magic can do something against magic!Of course you could hit them with bare strength, but when they realize how strong this Son Goku and the others are, they just won't let them get their move! "I stared at the Namek, almost begging, and it was as if I had actually succeeded in unsettling him a bit. But the next moment he looked confident again.
"You should sleep in first. Tomorrow there is still time to think about it, don't you think so?" In the meantime, Dende had also got up. It was quite against the grain to just go to bed now while Aguar and the others were on the way here, but I also knew that Dende was right. I couldn't do anything now, maybe I should really wait until tomorrow and personally convince myself of the incredible power of Son Goku ...
Popo had taken me to my room after saying goodbye to Dende. Mine was right next to June's, as Popo explained to me and wished me good night before he disappeared again through one of the endless corridors of this palace.
Without even paying attention to my room, I approached June's door and knocked. At first timid, then louder.
"Come in!", It came from inside and I hoped that I hadn't woken my girlfriend. So I turned the handle and stepped into the room.
June stood with her back to me and looked out her window. Her hands were clasped behind her back and when she heard my footsteps on the tiled floor, which was only partially covered by carpet, she turned around.
"Hello Yin," she greeted me and at first her face seemed completely normal - she was dead tired, you could see that immediately, but only at second glance did I notice the slight despair in her eyes.
"Hey. How are you?" I asked carefully and took a few steps towards her.
"Well ... I'm just tired, that's all. Did God say anything else?"
"No."
Then there was silence between us.I examined her carefully and tried to read from her eyes and face what was bothering her, but I couldn't. After a while I gave up.
"You can't fool me, June. What's wrong? Is it about Aguar?"
Her blue eyes looked at me somewhat startled before she bowed her head and searched for words - which she couldn't find.
"You don't have to worry about that. Tomorrow these other people will come. Dende praises them in the highest tones, you could think they are something like superheroes on this planet!"
Although I was actually more pessimistic than smiling in the worst of situations, at that moment I just couldn't help myself. June looked so incredibly unhappy and I just wanted her to feel better.
In the many years that we had known each other, we had become like sisters. That meant that if she was bad, I felt the same way, and if she had worries, so were mine.
"It will be all right," I continued in a calm voice, trying to detect any change in her; a touch of smile, some relief ...
But there was nothing.
"I really hope so," she replied, but I felt that her thoughts were completely elsewhere and although I wanted so much to help her, I knew that there was nothing I could do for her. I couldn't force her to tell me the real reason for her state of mind, so I had no choice but to leave for now.
"I'll see you tomorrow!", I said and turned away, "And you know - if there is anything, let me know, okay June?" I smiled at her and was happy when she finally smiled again . "All right," she confirmed before I left her room and took the few steps to mine.
Well, there was still no fight here, but it's not too far away ...
