Chapter: Foggy nights
SORRY, I don't have the time to thank each of you individually for the clerks * sniff *.
So I say a big: THANK YOU !!! from which everyone can cut a piece!
I'm just putting in the next part very quickly and I'm gone again ...
Part 6
Startled, I opened my eyes. People, faces ... they blurred in my eyes. A warm hand gently touched my arm.
"Maybe it works now!" someone said in a low voice.
Before I knew what was happening to me, pleasant waves of light entered my body. It was an unforgettable feeling!
All the pain that still raged in my body lost its excruciating power. The light mist in front of my eyes dissolved into nothing! I turned my head to one side, questioningly. The smaller, green-skinned man knelt next to me and at the same moment withdrew his two hands, which he had just held over me.I understood! He had some magical powers that he could use to heal people!
"Oh man, how afraid I was for you and Piccolo!" I heard Gohan's relieved voice penetrate my ear. The young man who appeared to be standing behind me leaned down quickly. A strong hand closed on my right upper arm and pulled me off the floor.
"That was really disgusting when all of a sudden the skin of your forehead burst open up here, your bones cracked and your hand became so ... different ...! And then not even Dende's healing powers worked !!! But luckily you are now awake again and patched up together! " the black-haired young man gushed out like an overflowing waterfall.
Although I heard his words, my searching gaze stayed on another person: Piccolo!
Apparently he had succeeded in returning to this world with me. So he could only leave my dream when I was awakened from "outside", but not when I suddenly woke up myself.I slowly understood the system of dreams.
The tall green man was standing a little to one side, with Uranai Baba, and was deep in a lively discussion. His serious, hard expression did not bode well!
And then, as if he had sensed my questioning look, he turned his head and looked me straight in the eye. A slight shiver ran through me, right up to my scalp. It was a strange feeling to be looked at so intensely, but now it didn't seem so threatening to me! Rather reassuring. After all, he had helped me survive!
Slowly, with his cloak billowing, Piccolo came up to us, stopped right in front of me.
"Uranai Baba has yet to make a new crystal! It will take about a day, maybe more, maybe less. Make sure you don't fall asleep during this time!" he just growled.
Without paying any further attention to me or the other bystanders, he turned away from us. I looked after the big man thoughtfully. You could see it clearly: it gnawed at him that he had not been able to kill this creature!
The rest of the evening I sat outside on the platform with my legs drawn up. Thousands of thoughts swirled through my head, leaving just as many unanswered questions. So much had happened that I had to digest and still couldn't really believe! My life had changed so suddenly. In a direction completely unknown to me!
With empty eyes I looked at Piccolo, who was sitting at the other end of the white tile floor and meditating, lost in complete concentration.
He was probably preparing himself for the next encounter with the dream guardian. I didn't think he was doing all of this to help me with this ... but I gave him credit for risking his own life to hunt down the dark creature!
Sighing, I got up from my seat, looked briefly into the orange-gold sun on the distant horizon. The incomparable beauty of this single moment somehow made me sad! I couldn't say exactly why either. The feeling was just there.
Almost in a hurry I took my eyes off the glowing ball of fire ... let it wander over the platform. For a split second, my eyes stayed on the meditating Piccolo before I turned and walked over to the palace entrance. Slowly I stepped through the large arched doorway of this white building into the interior of the cool hallway. At exactly the same moment I almost bumped into Dende, who was apparently on his way outside. I smiled at the green man, embarrassed. Gohan had told me that Dende was the god of the earth, but somehow it was very difficult for me to believe this!
"Uh ... is there a bathroom around here somewhere?" I stuttered nervously and looked down on the floor. "Naturally!" answered my counterpart in a calm voice.
I had to admit that he had an unearthly "charisma", but I was just as certain that I would never pray to "God" again! Could he actually hear all the prayers? ... Embarrassing !!!
Fortunately, Dende turned away from me at that moment, so that he no longer noticed the rising blush of my cheeks. With a small "safety margin" I crept after the green-skinned man who was headed for a large white door at the end of the hallway.
While my mind revolved around various prayers from some early puberty, Dende reached the bathroom door and opened it with a friendly smile. I quickly entered the bright, clean room. Here I turned once more to the young god: "Thank you! And ... can you really hear all the prayers of the people?"
A slight grin twitched in the corners of the mouth of my counterpart, which only irritated me even more.
"Who knows ..." replied Dende. A cold shiver crept through me. Or was I just being kidnapped ?!
Smiling, I gave the young god a slightly disbelieving look and quickly locked the bathroom door behind me! What a day!
As I let my gaze wander through the white-tiled room, my attention was drawn to a large shower in the far corner of the room. That would be just right now!
Without thinking about it for a long time, I stripped off all of my clothes and carefully stepped into the shiny china sink. With a steady movement of the hand, I turned first the right and then the left faucet. A sudden ice-cold surge that rained down on me made me shrink back in horror, but immediately afterwards the splashing liquid assumed a very pleasant temperature! I enjoyed the feeling of the falling drops on my bare skin.Sighing, I brushed a few long strands of hair out of my face. My right hand felt searchingly over a stone shelf. Her grip was tight on a slippery bar of soap. But just as I was about to clean myself with it, it slipped out of my wet fingers. No matter!
It took a while before I could decide to turn off the warm running water again. The cold air covered my damp skin like a delicate veil.
I stepped carefully out of the shower, grabbed the big fluffy bathrobe on the wall and snuggled into it. With a slight smile, I noticed that the white fabric was way too long for me. I could have wiped the floor dry with it!
Smiling, I took a small step towards my crumpled pile of clothes. Something slippery under my left foot suddenly slipped away. The soap!
It all happened so quickly that I didn't even have the time to notice my fall!
It wasn't until the impact came that I realized what had happened to me. And I felt a terrible panic rise in me when my head, with a thud, hit the edge of the porcelain sink! For a brief, last moment, I heard the loud crack of my jaw as my teeth were pressed against each other under immense pressure. Then a black veil fell over my eyes.
No. I did not want to! Not here! Not now ...
But a relentless, thick wall of fog pulled me further and further ... deeper into this dark world of shadows. Into the world of horror.
... The world without escape ...
Oh yes ... let's see how I keep writing it * nasty grin *
