Chapter: Animus viam monstrat 21

Hiiiii our cuties !!!

Sorry that this part is only coming now! But we had a lot of stress !! School, hobbies, friends, and, and, and! You know that! (Isn't it Benni? ^^)

So and now let's say something to your clerks: You are all firmly convinced that these are angels! I (Nini) have dealt with this topic very intensively because I gave a lecture on it. I would say that by reading up on this topic, I know a little bit about it. But to be honest, I've never heard of Abraxas. Nor does it appear in angology. Raphael is not a fallen angel! He is one of the four archangels. He is closest to God with the other three! Lucifer was once an angel too. But enough of the theory! If you want, I'll be happy to send you the presentation. Is no problem! Just write a mail to Kathas and my common Mailaddi: NiniundKerstin@gmx.at.I really enjoy doing this! Is no problem!

But who says they are really angels? And who says it's a fight? Everyone has a different conception of good and bad. Everyone has a different opinion about it! What appears to be good to one person may appear bad to another. And that's exactly what we want to represent in our FF.

And anyway, what about the "? -View", the "?? -view" and the "??? -view"? And what about the four pieces of jewelry now? Do they still have a meaning? Question after question. But we don't want to reveal too much just yet!

Now we hope you enjoy reading it! We meet next week! * cuddles * Katha and Nini

(? -View)

"Have you already heard that people now know our real appearance?" I ask one of my societas (comrade)
"Yes, I have! And you will visit our Municipium tomorrow!" She replies. Now I'm flabbergasted: "Will you visit us tomorrow?" And I thought I was well informed! But Resa already knows all the news. Yes, even her name is derived from it! I just can't fight them! But talking to her like that is really informative! How does she know all this? Definitely from her husband! He's an officer in the Regia ("castle")

"Yes, they will! But the Seneci (" old people ") only have two people!" Says Resa.

"Only two? But there are four, aren't there? What do we do now? What happened to the others?"

"The others were snatched from under their noses! I don't see how they could let that happen! Now only the higher ones are being improved! And the lower ones have to go into battle normally!" She is so angry that she gets louder.

"Be quiet! You know that we shouldn't criticize! In war you have to put up with everything!"I say insistently. I don't believe in it myself, but it's just so drummed into us.

Resa sighs: "Yes, the war. Why did the contract have to expire? I don't understand why they didn't renew it! But we're just the people. We don't understand that! Have you heard that the troops the Atris ("blacks") is only two municipalities away? Hopefully our troops hold out! I don't understand anything at the moment anyway! Why are people coming to our village? It's totally endangered! "

I can only agree with her! The whole current situation is incomprehensible! Or just because we don't know the background? Nobody informs us. Only the conversations with the other societae (comrades) bring some information. We'll see what happens.

"Quod deus bene vertat (may God turn it for the better). Dum spiro spero (As long as I breathe, I hope)!" I say. Yes, now only hope and pray will help!

(Kai's point of view)

The first rays of the sun that fall into our room wake me up. Since the sun has just risen behind the horizon, it is still early in the morning. Although I slept restlessly, I am rested. But that's normal for me. Although I sleep poorly and have nightmares, I am reasonably rested the next morning. It is a miracle that my body can withstand all these stresses and so little sleep.

My gaze wanders to the left. Nini lies there and sleeps peacefully. All of your facial muscles are relaxed. A strand fell on her face. I get up quietly and rub it off her face. I sit carefully on the edge of the bed and just look at her. Try to memorize every piece of her face on me. Because even if I don't want to admit it: At some point we have to go back to our worlds! And then I'll lose her! To lose? No! Because she will always be with me!Always be in my heart! But will their features also fade over time? Will I still be able to remember her face exactly? I shake my head to get rid of the annoying thoughts. No, now I don't want to mop up! I just want to enjoy this beautiful morning!

The mere sight of Nini puts a smile on my face. I could look at them for hours, but it's time to take a shower. I kiss her forehead carefully and then disappear into the bathroom.

"Today we want to bring you to a Municipium! You should see how we live!" Says Gabriel. What is a Municipium? I quickly swallow the bite to be able to ask, since Nini came to me before.

Gabriel thinks: "Well, in your language that means something like: community. There are just a lot of collections of houses and many people live there."

"So probably something like cities!" Says Nini.

"Exactly! You could also call it Urbs (city)! And yet it is a little different! But you will see it soon enough!"

We are standing on a kind of marketplace. There are large buildings around us. But the most impressive thing is that in the middle of the square. It looks like a huge church. Michael followed my gaze and said: "This is the cathedral. It is our pride and joy! Let's go inside!"

We enter through a large wooden door. I catch my breath. This is even more magnificent than the tea house in the park. The ceiling is approximately 17 meters away. It is painted with colorful pictures. Most of the time people can be seen on it. Or is it the lights? A large rainbow is painted from one side of the ceiling to the other. A light sits on him. What is striking, however, is that this light is being pulled down by something black. But it remains on the rainbow as if held by an invisible force. But that is only a small part of this great structure. The floor is made of marble. There are no benches or chairs, just large cushions. The windows are made of different colored glass. There, too, various situations are described. Only in one window above the front door is a Latin sentence: Hoc loco habitat fortuna means quiesiit cor.

"Translated, this means: happiness lives in this place, here the heart finds peace" Michael steps up next to me. I just nod and keep looking around. There is no sanctuary here. Only small sections with candles, special sayings and paintings.

"How can we come here again afterwards! Then it is also prayer time and there are more people here!" Says Gabriel. Nini and I just nod silently. We try too hard to memorize everything.

We have been on the road for a long time now. The lights showed us a lot in the city. It is very similar to those in our world. And yet also very different. But also the other 'lights' are like normal people!

Suddenly something rushes over our heads and in the next moment a loud bang can be heard. I am knocked to the ground by a shock wave. Then many small stones patter down on me. One of them scrapes past my cheek at a tremendous speed. But the others are not exactly pleasant either.

When I carefully lift my head, I literally see red. Some buildings are on fire. Something rushes over my head again, but hits further away. And yet a small pressure wave reaches me. Screams reach my ear. I see 'lights' running desperately across the streets. These bullets are still coming. But all my attention is on Nini. She too is lying on the floor. Did something happen to her? Hopefully not! Fear, no panic creeps up on me.

“Nini, did something happen to you?” I kneel next to her on the floor and shake her slightly.Groaning, she slowly stands up. She looks around confused. Your eyes express fear, but also incomprehension.

And then suddenly the whistling of the projectiles is over. But there is no silence! Most of the houses are destroyed or on fire.

"You have half destroyed the cathedral!" Gabriel suddenly stands next to us: "Unfortunately we have to leave you alone to take care of the injured!" Then he has also disappeared.

"Let's help too!" Says Nini in a weak voice. I just nod. Who is so cruel? Who just kills civilians like that? Was that the dark lights? Gabriel's words come back to me: 'Then it is also time for prayer and there are more people here! 'Are they buried under the rubble of the cathedral? The only thing I can think of is where we could help.

"Maybe some are buried in the cathedral!" I call out to Nini and start walking. It is not far away! There, behind the next building, no, more like the next ruin of a house, there should be the space!

Shocked, I stop and Nini runs right into me. But I don't even register it. The place is a huge heap of rubble. All that remains of the cathedral are stones and smoke. Carefully, almost in a trance, I walk on, climbing over huge heaps of rubble.

And then I see him. A little boy is sitting in the middle of the square. He is holding a woman in his arms. His face is smeared with dirt and blood, and most of his clothes are torn. Tears run down his cheeks. Desperate he screams, shaking the woman again and again: "Mom! Wake up! Come on, wake up!"

Tears well up in my eyes. I want to run to him, comfort him, but my legs don't move. You are cold, paralyzed. And this cold slowly creeps higher. And with the cold something else rises inside me. I try to hold it back, but
