A huge black hole opens below me. Slowly, very slowly, I'm falling in. Can't defend myself, nowhere to hold on. I am enveloped and drawn into blackness. My chest is about to burst and yet I cannot breathe. The cold constricts my throat, doesn't let me suck in the air I need. Everything revolves around me. So the pain has taken over. Once again! I thought I was strong, I would stand firmly on the ground. But a single little breath of wind blows me over. Just a little spark and I'll ignite. My pain ignites. I will probably never be able to defeat them.



My last stand is dying. Willlessly I let myself be pulled into the hole. But suddenly I stop. Something is holding me tight Don't let go of me, don't let me disappear into this black hole in my soul. Warmth spreads inside me.Makes my blood pulsate Oxygen is finally flowing into my lungs again. A soothing voice reaches my ear. Everything is slowly starting to work normally again. I don't want to open my eyes, don't want to see the boy, but I have to. I can't walk through this world blindly.

Sunlight strokes my cheek and gently wakes me up. Yawning, I straighten up and blink at the sun. I rub my eyes and swing my legs out of bed. I go to the closet and get dressed.

"Good Morning!" Kai whispers in my ear and lays his head on my shoulder. I turn to him and look him in the eye. "Good Morning!" I mean and kiss him.



"Today we want to bring you to a Municipium!You should see how we live! "says Gabriel.

"What is a Municipium?" I ask and look at Gabriel questioningly.

Gabriel thinks: "Well, in your language that means something like: community. There are just a lot of collections of houses and many people live there."

"So probably something like cities!" I mean.

"Exactly! You could also call it Urbs (city)! And yet it is a little different! But you will see it soon enough!"



When Kai and have finished breakfast, Gabriel and Michael bring us into town or into the village. We are standing in the middle of a large square. There is hustle and bustle around us. Living beings cavort, laugh, talk and sell their things. I don't want to tell people. 'Cause I know it's these lights You have only assumed human form. I let my gaze wander over the square. Suddenly my eyes widen. A huge building rises in front of us. White pigeons sit on the pointed tower roofs and the battlements glisten like gold in the morning sun.I am enchanted by the sight of the building. It looks like a church.

"This is the cathedral. It is our pride and joy! Let's go inside!" says Michael and looks proudly at the magnificent church. Kai takes my hand and together we follow Gabriel and Michael.



As we step inside the cathedral, I gasp desperately. The sight that is presented to me is breathtaking. This cathedral is almost even more beautiful than St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. Perhaps this cathedral is even bigger than the Pope's seat. There are wonderful drawings on the ceiling. I look at the pictures with my eyes wide open. People are shown, mythical creatures and nature. But I am missing something in these pictures. Something is different from the churches at home. I stand there, looking up at the ceiling, pondering. But I don't get it. Then I turn my gaze back to the front. In the back of the church there is no altar as I am used to.Only here and there are some stands with small red candles burning. And there are large seat cushions everywhere on the marble floor. This place exudes calm and contentment. I feel very comfortable here. The calm carries over to me and I relax.

"How can we come here again afterwards! Then it is also time for prayer and there are more people here!" Says Gabriel and turns to go. I stop for a few moments and try to memorize everything. I don't want to leave here yet. I would love to stay here forever. I take Kai's hand and together we follow Gabriel and Michael.



We step out of the cathedral again and follow Gabriel and Michael. This city reminds me a lot of my own hometown. Many things are the same here. And yet it is different. I brood all the time and try to find what I am missing in this city. We have been walking through this wonderful city for some time now.I am bewitched by her. I stand next to Kai and let my gaze slide over my surroundings again.



But suddenly there is a loud bang in my ear and I am thrown to the ground. Kai lets go of my hand and I hit the ground hard. Stones rain down on me and hurt my body. But I don't care. I jump up, first look at Kai who is lying on the ground and then at the sky. My eyes widen and protrude, my pupils become small and the blood rushes in my ears.



I can not believe it. I can not believe it! That can not be true!!!!! I stand there as if frozen to stone and look at the sky. But suddenly something hard hits my head and I sink to the ground. My eyes go black for a short time.

"Nini, did something happen to you?" A voice brings me back from the deep blackness.

I groan and lift my head and look at Kai. I can see fear and incomprehension in his eyes.Kai helps me on my feet. I lean against him slightly and look around. Houses around us are on fire or have been totally destroyed. Suddenly anger and hatred rise up in me. I know who did that. And I know who helped them.



“You have half destroyed the cathedral!” Gabriel suddenly stands next to us: “Unfortunately we have to leave you alone to take care of the injured!” I look at Gabriel and notice how badly he is. But before I can say anything, he's gone.

"Let's help too!" I mean. My voice is weak and quiet. But only my voice is weak. I feel how hatred, anger and sadness take possession of my body.

"Maybe some are buried in the cathedral!" calls Kai and starts walking. I also set off and run after him. Again and again I throw sideways glances next to me. The smoke from the fire burns and brings tears to my eyes. I run my forearm over my face and wipe away the tears.And suddenly I hit Kai. With a pained face I stand next to him and follow his gaze. A little boy is sitting in the middle of the rubble, holding a woman with long brown hair in his arms. The woman's face is hidden by her hair. The boy tries to wake up his mother but it is in vain. Tears run down his cheeks, smeared with blood and dirt, and his small body trembles. I turn my gaze to Kai and get frightened. He stands motionless and looks blankly at the boy. I know that Kai sees himself in the boy. He told me about his past. Without thinking twice, I wrap my arms around him and whisper words in his ear. I notice how Kai relaxes a little and his gaze is no longer empty.



He looks at me and I can see tears in his brown eyes.

"Come on. We have to help!" says Kai, takes me by the hand and together we climb over the rubble.



I see Gabriel pulling boulders away in a corner and Michael laying injured people on stretchers. Many "lights" are here to help.



"Kai, I look around the place, you help me here!" I mean and let go of his hand.

"What's your name?" I ask the girl while we are going to the cathedral.

"My name is Kira Angeli. I'm 16 years old." The brown-haired girl answers me and begins to cough.
