Sidestory to "Encounters of Fate": Ginyu in Wonderland

Everything was so big and frighteningly colorful. The wildest animal cries echoed through the room and made the little frog assume that one of the dinosaurs was hungry again ... for frog legs. Thanks to his agility and his small size he hadn't managed to end up as a T-Rex's afternoon snack so far, but whether his luck would last any longer was questionable. The persistence of the gigantic reptiles suggested that Ginyu was a particularly tasty specimen of a delicacy. Had the situation been different, he might even have been pleased.

* Oh, if only the blonde would have left me on the side of the road, * thought Ginyu mentally whimpering. * To be trampled on by a passerby would have been a faster and more pleasant death than being hunted here as a living delicacy! *

The earth shook and Ginyu trembled like aspen leaves as the dinosaur alpha male - or as he called it because of its scale color and size: Vanilla Godzilla - walked through his territory.Hopping to safety, the little frog cursed being pretty much at the end of the food chain. Unfortunately, several other conspecifics had targeted the same hiding place, so that he could not find refuge. Menacing and unstoppable, the T-Rex trudged closer and pushed Ginyu into the corner.

"NO!" He wanted to scream, but only a croak escaped his mouth ... and an energy beam! With his eyes wide open, the former commander followed the beam as it flew towards T-Rex, unstoppable, towards the now stupidly blinking dinosaur.

*Revenge! *, Ginyu thought with anticipation. *REVENGE!! * Oh, how would he make his eternal tormentor suffer, get back at him before finally devouring him! A few more meters, and then ...

Then suddenly, out of nowhere, a fly hummed in, right in front of Godzilla's nose. The insect was of little interest to them, but in Ginyu it triggered an animal chain reaction.

There was a fly there.

Frogs ate flies.

He was a frog.

And before Ginyu's brain could switch back to "thinking", he had jumped in the direction of the fly, his tongue already in the starting position. Incredibly, the frog jumped faster than the energy beam, and when it reached the fly, the beam reached them both.

What had to come came: Ginyu and the flying insect exchanged bodies.

The T-Rex, with his snack practically jumped down its throat, took the chance and snapped. He then stomped on, smacking his lips satisfied.

Meanwhile, Ginyu had narrowly escaped death and was buzzing tiredly through the air.

Feeling the hungry glances of his former conspecifics - now he was really at the end of the food chain - he could only hope that he was the first to fall victim to a fly swatter.
