Chapter: Vegeta: Where he belongs to 48
Hi all!
Sorry, it took so long again! But here is the next part!
Thanks to my loyal readers:
Anaconda, Silver Star, princessnichan, Sami and Saniko! What would I be without you guys ?! * cuddly *
Now comes part 48 at last.
To her surprise, the time flew by in the hours that followed. In the last few weeks she had always had the feeling that the hours were only creeping by on purpose to make her life even more miserable. But she did it and maybe soon everything would turn out fine ...
Still, she was scared. Bulma found herself directing her thoughts in a different direction as soon as the search - because that was the real problem - occurred to her. For she had no faint haze as to how she should get all seven spheres. Would these Namekians that Master Kaio had spoken of would help her?Or were they all devils ?!
She quickly shook her head, that was nonsense! Master Kaio wasn't just anyone, if he said these people were friendly, then so were they! Topic finished.
With a slight smile on her face she noticed that Tito had fallen asleep. She was really lucky to have met him. Without him she would never have come this far.
With a quick look over her shoulder, she made sure that Khelan was sound asleep and then pulled something out of the pocket of her robe. She looked at the palm-sized device with satisfaction for a while. Without this radar it would be impossible to find the Dragonballs, this was probably their only trump card in the race against the Sayajins. The good thing was that it was actually more of a race than a fight, whoever found the bullets faster had won and she and Tito had a huge advantage! A slight smile crept onto her face and she carefully stowed the dragon radar back in the spacious bag.
What kind of device was that? It looked like a watch ... such a big watch ?! Wasn't Bulma able to build something smaller than such a huge thing? Well, maybe he was wrong, and it was something completely different. But he couldn't open his eyes any further, the danger that Bulma would suddenly turn her head in his direction and look at him was much too big ... but what was going to happen? By the time she suspected he was immortal and the most powerful being in the universe!
On the other hand, he was surprised that she had never said anything about this part - didn't she trust him so completely, did she? There had to be some reason!
A bit sourly, Tito closed his eyes completely again and heard how the fabric of her robe crackled, she probably transported this little something back again. He'd find out what it was ...
It remained quiet for the next few hours and even after two days. The destination, Namek, was now only a few hours away and the atmosphere on board the ship became increasingly tense.
Khelan's patience was broken and he left the control room with a growl to see how "the injured bottles" were doing.
Bulma's heart pounded when the on-board computer indicated that they would have reached their destination in the next two hours. It was faster than expected, only three and a half days had passed and yet they would be there in a few hours ...
"Tito! Look here ... another two hours!", She said and pointed excitedly at the monitor.
The person addressed rose from his chair and stood behind her. His face brightened. "About time!", He smiled.
Bulma didn't know if she should be happy. Actually yes, she had got further than she would have ever thought possible, but now she was faced with another big problem:
They had to get all seven Dragon Balls and if they couldn't do that, then at least one, so that the Sayajins couldn't get their hands on them all, because then the fate of the universe would be sealed once and for all.
She took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a moment. Then she got up and turned towards the door.
"Where are you going?" Asked Tito.
"Let the Sayajins know. Otherwise Vegeta will get a screaming fit again ...", she replied, but then Bulma hesitated. This was maybe the last chance to talk to Tito alone - and they still had quite a bit to talk about.
"We should now slowly come up with something like a plan. Who knows if we will be separated or something."
Tito nodded and Bulma continued:
"I thought it like this: If Vegeta gets his hands on all the bullets, we can wrap up. We have to prevent that under all circumstances! If we could get hold of a single bullet, if the Sayajins can find that many, the remaining six would be useless. That means, if we don't get them all, we just have to watch that the others also go away empty-handed ... and possibly even destroy a dragon ball. "
Bulma looked down and thought hard. There was so much that could go wrong. She could lose everything or she could win everything. If she backed down now, she was 100% sure to lose, but if she tried, she had a small chance. Besides, it wasn't her way to give up so close to the finish line!
“And how do we find the bullets?” Tito's worried voice tore her from her thoughts.
"There are several possibilities ... But Master Kaio said that the namesake people are peaceful, if we explain to them what we need the bullets for, they will surely help us," said Bulma.
"And what is the other option?", Tito asked.
Bulma hesitated a moment. Now they were back to the topic of Dragon Radar and she hadn't told her boyfriend a word about it yet.
Why not? She didn't know herself.
"There is actually a second option ... and that should be the more convenient option." She made sure that no one had opened the door behind her unnoticed and then reached into her pocket. She fished out the little device that would be an indispensable aid in her search for the bullets and held it up.
Tito played the surprised one. He had seen this thing some time ago, it was this machine that looked like an oversized clock.
At least she finally told him something about it voluntarily, which saved him a lot of effort and time.
"This is a radar," Bulma announced proudly.
"A radar?" He echoed. If that was really what he now suspected ...
"But no ordinary radar. With this little thing we can locate Dragonballs!" Her eyes shone and she stared in love at the little something in her hand.
Tito could hardly suppress his joy, but that wasn’t necessary either. He started to grin and Bulma of course misinterpreted that.
"Crazy! And that works ?!", he asked. It would all be easier than he had thought! There was actually a machine that could locate these dragon balls, it would be a breeze!
Suddenly the door opened behind Bulma and she quickly stuffed the radar back into her robe. As if stung by the tarantula, she turned around and was now standing directly in front of a large sayajin.
"Khelan!" She exclaimed in surprise. She paid no attention to him. He only gave Tito a hostile look and then grumbled: "What are you standing around here? You'd better check whether the course is right instead of having a coffee party here!"
Bulma's face darkened. Stupid curmudgeon!
"We'll be there in two hours. Please tell Prince Vegeta and the others. I was just about to let me know," she defended herself and then turned on her heel. She slowly stepped back to her chair and dropped onto it.
The room was silent for a few seconds. Nobody said a word, not even the sayajin. Then Bulma heard steps and Tito also sat down again.
A few moments later, Khelan left again without giving any insult or comment.
It wasn't particularly informative, but there will be something new in the next part:
Namek!
See you then!
Buek!
