eyes, I feel helpless, exposed, defenseless. The fear turns into panic and every time it doesn't get better but worse.

So don't sleep. Good as well. I am still trying to penetrate the darkness with my eyes. All my senses are tense to the point of breaking. I hear my panting breath and my heart pounding wildly.I can even hear the rush of my blood and something else. It sounds strangely familiar, like ... like a quiet breath! Is there anyone else here?
