Fanfic: Der Kampf der Elemente 10
my jaw flew up and I bit my tongue. The heavy iron-like taste immediately settled on my tongue and in the next moment we fell into the sand, which slowed down the speed at least a bit ...
I groaned and lifted my head. June rolled off me and looked at me worriedly.
"Everything ok ?!", she asked excitedly and threw a quick look over her shoulder in the direction of the magician.
"Yeah ... all right," I managed to spit out some blood that had collected in my mouth. My best friend stared at me in horror.
"Oh no! Are you hurt?", She blurted out and panic spread across her face.
"I bit my tongue ... it's okay," I replied, and forced a slight smile. June reached out a hand in relief and pulled me up. A few red spots in the shape of fingers had formed on her left arm. I glared at Aguar, who looked at us condescendingly.
"When I'm done with you, these will be your smallest injuries!" He called out to us. He was standing on a little hill, only a few meters away from us.Its contours were slowly becoming indistinct, the fading light was no longer strong enough. Great, then we were allowed to fight in the dark too!
June had since given up brushing behind her ear the long strands of hair that kept flying into her face. Her long hair was blowing in the wind and suddenly she turned to me.
"Yin?" She started and I looked away from Aguar. June looked sad and somehow desperate.
"Yes?"
".... You know what's coming, right?"
I swallowed hard and nodded my head. Piccolo's words came back to me. Well, now I had the opportunity to "make myself useful". That would be the last thing I did, too.
"We join forces. Maybe ... maybe we can defeat him," she continued, her face lighting up a little.
I smiled weakly too. Your optimism was just incredible. This was probably the most hopeless and dangerous situation we had ever been in, and yet she still believed that she could turn everything around for the better.
But joining our powers also meant that I had to use my magic. And that in turn meant conjuring up the fire in me ... But - no, I couldn't!
Doubt came to my eyes and June immediately knew what it was about. "You can do it. I'll help you, all right? You'll see, you can do it!"
I swallowed again and my eyes got wet. I had always admired June. Her ability to use elemental magic had always been greater than mine. She was in control of her element, unlike me. The last time I started the fire ... the last time there was a disaster ... I had never used the fire since then.
I see myself standing in the middle of the forest as if it were yesterday. I still smell the trees - the trees on fire.
It was 5 years ago. I wanted to do some training, because the lessons with the magician in our city weren't enough for me.I was much younger and more unreasonable than I was today. So I just went into the forest to try my magic there. At first everything had worked out well, I had conjured up the hot fire in me, it had literally oozed out of me! I felt incredibly powerful, but it wasn't until too late that I realized what I'd done:
It started with a small fire, but it quickly spread to other trees and soon the entire forest was on fire ... but that wasn't enough. If it had been just the trees, the damage wouldn't have been so great, but there was more ... something I will never forgive myself.
The screams were only muffled to my ear, they had been swallowed up by the roaring hell of fire that I had created, but nevertheless I would probably never forget the panic and fear of death that resonated in those screams!
Although I had tried to help, I was still at the very beginning and could only float very slowly and unsteadily, but it was no use!Any help came too late for Corsa, the son of a rich farmer.
And it was all my fault!
A lonely tear made its way down my face and dripped from my chin to the floor. Looking down, I inhaled sharply, then nodded. I had no other choice. I would now finally have to overcome this fear, whatever the cost!
I felt a light touch on my shoulder and looked up. June smiled encouragingly at me, the wind playing with her long hair. "Together we can do it," she said softly and imploringly and her smile widened, "If we stick together, no one can defeat us!"
That's it for today. We would be very happy about Kommies!
see you soon!
