Chapter 10- Old Stories
Pin finally finished the book. She sighed. "Well! There's no trace of Tejina here either! Only a few times when she was mentioned in a listing.", She said. "I should have guessed right away!" Said Jen, still eyeing the strand of white hair.
"It would have been too easy too, don't you think?" Added Morwan, "after all, it's a one-off ... and that in the whole world!" Jen and Pin nodded in agreement. Then Morwan got up. "Huh? Already so late! I suggest that we go to my house!", He said, "We have a small inn! But of course you can stay for free!" He marched off. Pin, Jen, and Ruphus, who found it difficult to let go of the shelves, followed him. Pin fell on that there were so many people on the street. And after all, after dusk. Crowds suddenly streamed towards them from everywhere, eyeing the outsiders Pin and Jen curiously."You don't even notice that you have wandering souls in them!" She whispered as softly as she could to Jen. Morwan, however, seemed to have heard. "This is because we live in an area free of wanderers. Everyone who has not yet been mastered lives here. The Wonseens have their own neighborhood marched towards an old farmhouse. It still appeared to be in pretty good shape. Flower boxes were hung everywhere, and the door was decorated with a brightly colored wreath. "Hey! I've been here before!" Shouted Jen, pointing to the house. Morwan smiled. "Yes, of course! I remember! Mona (see Chapter 1) took me with her once to trade a little in our goods!" At the word "goods", Pin heard a little sniff, because the goods Jen said were actually stolen goods. "But I didn't see you anywhere!" Jen said and peeked over at Morwan."Yes, that's because I only came here 2 years ago. My mother dragged me here," he sighed. "But I don't regret it! It's pretty nice, isn't it?" He climbed the small stairs and knocked on the door with a monster-looking door knocker. “Hey!” Jen quickly eyed the door knocker in surprise. "That's a hell demon!" He said, and pointed to the small iron figure. Morwan nodded proudly. "I melted it myself!"
"Looks shitty!" Jen snapped, and took a step back. Now Pin was curious. She had never seen a hell demon before. She stepped forward and eyed the (as Jen had said) damn ugly thing melted on a metal arc. She believed that Morwan had only guessed what a hell demon looked like, and made a rather unreal creature because of it. He had a wide, mean contorted face (Pin thought he had just fallen off Morwan, but he stubbornly denied it) Two clawed hands, and legs like a goat.Pin wrinkled his nose. It's an ugly thing! ", she snorted, and turned to the offended-looking Morwan.
Finally he unlocked the door (nobody had opened it) and let Pin and Jen enter. At first, Pin took her breath away. Not because of enthusiasm, but because the air got stuck in her throat. It was hot in the room. Damn hot to be exact. It seemed to Pin as if the owner had never aired the house as long as the house was there.
As beautiful and well-groomed as it looked on the outside, it looked ugly and dirty on the inside. Pin's pain limit was reached when she saw a big fat maggot rolling around on the floor. "W- We don't have to live here, do we?" She stuttered, wrinkling her nose in disgust. "Yes, yes!" Said Morwan, and looked around as if he didn't understand why Pin objected to it. Jen sighed. "Is it true or am I right in saying that your mother was extremely sloppy about 'cleaning up'?" "How you take it! ", grinned Morwan, and folded his hands." But the few Kouligans that have moved in here, more or less, don't matter anymore! "Pin stopped." What are Kouligans again? ", she asked puzzled." It's nothing but vermin! Eat up supplies, make houses ready for demolition within 10 hours! "said Morwan, and looked around." The only advantage I know of is that it can be used for building demolitions from the early 21st century. Back then, people weren't even aware that magicians existed! The smart people who knew about it were labeled crazy! ", he grumbled. Ruphus, who had been waiting madly to get a sign from Jen that it was allowed if he brought some order in here, scurried off at a wink from Jen, and dusted the shelves at the speed of light. and cleared the shelves. The speed of light wasn’t exaggerated though. He really darted around like a jet fighter, and in 10 seconds had the whole huge room dusted and tidied up.Pin looked at Ruphus, puzzled. "Well! Our old Ruphus!", Jen grinned, and put his hemp on Ruphus' shoulder, which was only made of bone. He seemed more comfortable now, and he was preparing dinner. Everyone sat at the table, smacking their lips, and Pin howled over old stories from Jen and Morwan.
"..... and that's where we came into the classroom!" yelled Morwan, gesturing wildly with his hands. "Suddenly one of the children was all over when it came out, and held onto Jens pants!" he said. "And you can guess the rest! Anyway, I'll tell you anyway. Well, anyway, the child, Jens tore off his pants and underwear! And he stood there like a glove! The whole class laughed! Of course! If someone like that "dangling freely", Morwan hooted, and clapped the palm of his hand on the table. Pin was almost laughing under the table. Jen, who didn't think it was that funny, sat bolt upright and blushed bright red."I didn't think you had to dig up the embarrassing story!" He snorted. "Oh, don't stand in front of Jennischitty! It's long gone!" Yelled Morwan, clapping the palm of his hand on his shoulder. "Oh yeah?" Jen grumbled "I remember it like it was yesterday!" He raised his hand in a flash. Suddenly a huge wave of heat blew past Pin, straight at Morwan. He couldn't duck anymore and got the full roar. As if he'd been sitting under a heat gun for two hours, his hair was at a perpendicular angle from his head. They hooted again. This time Jen hooted along.
