"You don't have the strength to continue flying with us. Turn back, I ask you!" Said Gohan when he saw that Videl was slowing down.
"But Gohan ...", she tried to contradict, but he cut her off. He floated back a few meters to her.
"No Videl! Please, turn around!" He said and there was concern in his voice. The young woman looked at him. Then she nodded. Gohan nodded as well and started to fly on so that he could catch up with the others in time.
"Take care!", She called after him. She could still hear him shouting back to her: "Always!" Then it was gone on the horizon.

Boo was defeated, the earth saved, everyone had returned, even Vegeta was allowed to go on living. Bulma, in her first delight, had simply fallen on his neck, even though she knew how much he hated it when she did that in public.
Chichi clung to Son Goku as if she would never let go of him again.
"Don't do that again anytime soon, promise me!Promise me you won't die for the third time in the next ten years! ", she laughed and cried at the same time and pressed herself against him again.
"I promise, Chi, I promise!" He said and took her face in his hands.
Meanwhile, a little apart from the others, stood a young man, together with a young woman who glared at him angrily.
"You damn bastard! I was worried about you!" She yelled at him, but began to howl at the same time.
"But Videl, I'm fine!" He said in his slightly naive way and scratched the back of his head with one hand. At this sight even the young woman couldn't be angry anymore and laughed off. As she did so, she wiped the tears from her cheeks.
"Come on, I'll accompany you home!" He offered her. Videl thanked him and they went to the others. Turning to his parents, he only said that he would accompany Videl home quickly, but he would be back for dinner. Chichi nodded understandingly, Son Goku didn't know his way around, after all Videl had only met him once or twice briefly before and Son Goten laughed out loud."Ha ha, Gohan has a girlfriend!" He shouted, as seven-year-olds (-> Is Goten only seven or older at this time?) Like to do.
"Goten!" Came from his mother and father at the same time and the boy was immediately silent. Chichi wished them a lot of fun, winked at her son, which neither he nor his father understood and then turned away from the two young people again.
Videl had to keep from laughing, especially over Son Gohan's crimson skull.
"Come on, Gohan, I have to go!", She saved him from this embarrassing situation and they flew away, some amused looks in their back.

"Videl! Videl, my baby! Are you all right? I was so worried!", Kaori, the nice elderly lady who threw Mr. Satan's household, shouted towards her and she and Son Gohan had barely landed when she grabbed the young girl in her arms and almost crushed her.
"Kaori! Ka ... ori, I can hardly breathe!"She just managed to get out, was let go the next moment and the housekeeper apologized to her. Son Gohan grinned and Videl was a bit embarrassed.
Finally she sent the lady back into the house and said she would come immediately. Kaori grinned and quickly made to return to the Villa Satan. A slight shimmer of red ran over Videl, which Son Gohan was not used to from her. What had happened while he was fighting Boo?
"Thanks for bringing it home! See you tomorrow to train?" She laughed. The young man was reassured, that was the Videl he knew. He was afraid something bad would have happened while he was gone.
"Gladly! Will you come to me?" He replied. Videl nodded and wished him good night. Gohan did the same, turned away and was about to take off when the young woman's voice stopped him again.
"Son Gohan?"
"Yes?"
“I'm glad you're okay!” With these words, she waved to him again, opened the door and was gone.The young man looked a little surprised at the door, but then he had to smile. Yes, Videl was his best friend!

After dinner, which was almost unbearable for Son Gohan and his brother because their parents fiddled around all the time, the young man dragged himself into his room to finally get a bit of sleep. He was totally exhausted.
Just as he had taken off his clothes and was only standing there in boxer shorts, he heard something knock on his room window. Surprised, he turned to this and discovered a graceful figure in front of it. Determined, he went to the window and opened it quietly so that no one in the house could hear it.
"Videl?", He said amazed and looked at the young woman. Tears hung from her eyelashes and her face was damp. Her shoulders shrugged and again and again she had to suppress a sob.
"What happened?" Came the shocked young man. He took her hand carefully and helped her into his room.Now Videl could no longer hold back the sobs and fell around the neck of the completely amazed Son Gohan.
"Oh Gohan ...", a sob, "... Kaori had a heart attack and was hospitalized and the doctors don't know how to help her." Tears kept streaming down her cheeks and her sapphire blue eyes looked at him deeply saddened. Carefully he put his arm around her and tried to comfort her.
Videl pressed her face to his shoulder and wept into his nonexistent t-shirt. Son Gohan noted this with a slight shimmer of red, but let her go. It felt strange. And yet somehow good. He quickly pushed that thought aside, it wasn't the right moment for it.
Now the young woman also became aware of what she was actually doing here and she also had a slight red sheen.
"I ... I'm sorry! I didn't mean to burst in here so easily, sorry, you definitely don't have the nerve for it now.Excuse me, I will of course leave immediately. Sorry, Gohan! ", she said and got up from the couch, on which they had meanwhile sat down. She was already on the way to the window when she was gently held back by a warm hand.
"You don't think I'll let you fly home like this? You sleep here tonight! And don't contradict me, you know you have no chance against me! You can have my bed, I'll sleep on the couch", she heard the friend say in a low and reassuring tone. Videl wanted to contradict with a few words, but she decided otherwise. It was right that she didn't have to go home. And here at Son Gohan she felt safe and secure. So she could forget the past hours for a while.
"Thank you, Gohan! But I sleep on the couch!", She just couldn't put up with it without contradiction. The young man could only smile about it.It was Videl, if she wanted it that way, then he would do her this favor. He quickly got a warm blanket and a pillow from the closet in the hallway, trying to ignore the cheerful laughter of his parents in the bedroom and went back to his room, where the young woman was already waiting for him. She sat dejected on the sofa, her eyes lowered to the floor.
"Come on, Videl! It'll be fine again, you'll see!" He tried to comfort her. Of course he knew that these words weren't exactly the right thing to do, but at least he tried.
The young woman knew that too and gave him a grateful smile. Then she took the blanket and pillow and made herself comfortable on the couch in Gohan's room.

A short time before in the bedroom of Chichi and Son Goku:
"Did you just hear something?", The woman listened carefully and had to interrupt her husband's passionate kiss. She was now sitting upright in bed."I don't care! At the moment only you are important!", He said and pushed her back into the pillow.
"You're a bad boy!" She laughed and enjoyed the man's delicate fingers on her skin.
"I know!", He laughed back, then you couldn't hear anything anymore, just a sigh, a moan or a laugh every now and then.
