Instead, she turned her head to him spookily and clawed what was between her fingers even more. The blader had to squint to see what it was.He looked at his scarf in amazement. What... ? He tugged lightly on the cloth. Without resistance, she let go of it and put her hands on her ears. Was she afraid of a thunderstorm? Kai frowned and pulled her hands from her ears with a little more force. But he hadn't expected Kathy's reaction. She let out a short cry of despair from herself and her best friend and ran from the room. Perplexedly, the boy sat on the floor for a moment before he got up again and followed her out of the room.

From afar Kai saw how she rattled the door handle. Kai accelerated and ran towards his girlfriend. But she already had the door open and ran out of the room in a blind panic. The young man ran even faster and rushed out the door too. Then he stopped and looked around. Back there ... by the stairs ... he ran after her again. She had a small head start and ran down the stairs as fast as she could, sobbing.Kai took a few steps at a time and caught up.

At the end of the stairs he finally got hold of her arm. "Kathy" he spoke again, but she didn't seem to notice either. "Kathy ... calm down ..." but the young woman didn't react to him.
