Chapter: The protector
The protector
Another dream I thought to myself and saw a round room with deep holes in the floor. On the left a large indentation marked with black paint. On the right 5 indentations in blue, red, silver, brown and white. The white one was the largest, almost as tall as the black one around her the other four. There were balls in a couple of wells, the silver one, the brown one, and the white one. Two other spheres, the blue and the red, shone near their depressions, but they were not yet in them, but they were slowly approaching them. I woke up, Cari leaned over me.
"Will you come with me, please," she asked me.
“Okay, wait a minute.” I put on my sweater and took my sword. She led me to the roof of the workshop, which was flat and you could move easily on it. I looked for dragons.
"Don't worry, there are no dragons around here." she said to me."How do you know?" I asked her and looked at her puzzled.
"I just know," she said and sat down. I sat down next to her and looked at her.
"Why should I come with you?" I asked her.
"You saw it too, didn't you? The two warriors, the room with the hollows?" she said to me.
"How do you know ... Also seen ... You too ... But how ..." I was completely flabbergasted.
"You are not the only one who has dreams like this."
"But how does that work, I thought ... you don't have a gun ... How does that work?", I was still out of the role.
"Not a weapon but this," she said, holding a bag from behind her. She pulled something out of her pocket, a sign. She put it in my hands and I looked at it carefully. It had a silver frame and in the middle it was made of the same metal as my sword. It reflected me and I could see how battered I looked. I gave it back to her. She looked me in the eye I couldn't read her look but I saw that something was wrong with her." Who are you???" I asked her.
"I am not a warrior like you. I am the protector. The guardian of the warriors. I am responsible for the success of your mission. I have the same skills as you. We are very similar" and she moved closer to me.
"What are you ??? The protector? When did you protect us? What mission?" I was confused. Completely done.
"Why do you think the good dragons were always there at the right time? How come I know about your dreams. I called the dragons. Don't be afraid and trust me." She moved closer to me. And grabbed my arm. She pulled me to her. She tried to hug me. But I tore myself away.
" What do you want from me?" I asked her.
"I want you to trust me." she answered.
"Trust has to be earned," I said to her, "start with telling the other the truth."
I got up and went downstairs to my sleeping place. "I'll wait until tomorrow and if she hasn't said anything to the others I'll drop the bomb." I said to myself and lay down.
